At the hospital, Mo Liang was now awake and watching a replay of i i’s spontaneous interview in which she announced their divorce to the whole world. As he viewed her adding humor to her responses and chuckling along with the reporters, his blood boiled with anger.
If he could, he would enter the hologram, teleport to Pearl space camp and slap her. This was not what they had agreed to.
"Where are the royal agents?" In a raised angry voice that had a sprinkle of desperation, he questioned Tang Yue.
There wee three people in the room, him, Tang Yue and Mo Hao. Mo Hao was playing a ga on Tang Yue’s phone, unaware of the storm of troubles he had set off for his father.
He giggled and Mo Liang turned his eyes to his son, glaring at the boy. Not that Mo Hao saw the glare. Tang Yue pushed the short rolling stool, placing herself between Mo Liang and Mo Hao.
"If there is sothing that you have to say, just say it to . You cannot be fierce to our son?" she cautioned him.
Mo Liang’s fierce eyes returned to her. "You don’t want to say anything to him. Do you even know what he has done?"
"How is it his fault? Are you not his father?" Tang Yue snapped at Mo Liang. "You are the one to bla because you insisted on taking us to the opening of i i’s camp. A Yang, you already know that she hates the three of us. What made you think that she would just allow you to take credit for the camp and make A Hao the face of the camp?"
"Because I am her husband." he shouted in a voice that was filled with resentnt. "How dare she go out and open a new business without informing ! The company has just lost a big order, we need money. That camp that she opened, it looks like she invested at least five billion in the project."
"Maybe more. While you were sleeping, I was watching the tour of her camp. Almost every television covered it because the emperor was in attendance. The equipnt inside does not look cheap to , I have never seen any of it. " Tang Yue felt the need to add.
She was burning with jealousy on the inside because i i seed to be picking up her life with ease while she had to walk on pins and needles because people were calling her a mistress on the internet.
Tang Yue was angry because i i had not signed divorce papers ekly like a scared mouse and disappeared out of their lives into the night. If she had decided to live like a gutter rat, why was she trying to claw her way back to the top?
She was Tang Yue, a heroic doctor that went for the mission in space. i i was just a bitch that happened to be born into a rich family. What was so good about her apart from her background?
"That bitch." Mo Liang punched the bed. "How dare she hide private money from ?"
"Did you know that she had been in contact with divorce lawyers?" Tang Yue asked him.
He shook his head. All this ti that he had been living in the house, there was tension and i i ntioned divorce occasionally but there had been no ntion of lawyers. It is why he thought that she would be so easy to cheat again, all he had to do was gaslight her a bit and she would fall into his arms again.
She would hand over the house, the rest of her money, Mingzhu’s admission at The Chi Chi school and all that she owned.
"That sly bitch, she dared to get lawyers. Does she think that she can win just because her family has so connections. I am backed by the emperor, they are nothing but noble families that must bow to him. We will see who wins this battle." Mo Liang said maliciously.
He would ruin i i and drag her family into it. They had always looked down on him but he would step on their heads.
"Enough with the emperor this and the emperor that!" Tang Yue stood up, sighed and kicked the rolling stool, sending it into the wall. "The emperor was at the opening of i i’s space camp. She kept picking on him and she even hit him with a ball but he did nothing about it. In fact, he continued the stupid tour and allowed her to keep bullying him and making jokes. Don’t you know what this ans?"
She huffed, ripped a hair band from her hair and threw it on the bed. "The royal family is just using you...us...and A Hao. Their relationship with the Jun and Chi family is more valuable than our space ventures.
The coordinates to the new planet, personal journals, flight logs, scientific data, mission reports and all the storage devices with health data, photographs, videos and teletry data are already in their hands. We are becoming expendable with each day that passes. The emperor is already trying to fix his friendship with i i obviously."
"Impossible." Mo Liang scoffed.
Tang Yue groaned. "Who said it was impossible? I grew up around them so I know how good their relationship used to be. They were like best friends A Yang, emperor Junjie wanted to marry i i!!" She tapped the fingers of her right hand against her left palm in a desperate attempt to get her point across.
"What?" Mo Liang bellowed.
"Do you know how close your relationship has to be to marry your best friend? The emperor is not your friend A Yang, in fact he might be planning to take revenge on us for her. Haven’t you noticed that your exclusive interviews, university talks, endorsents and other privileges have already been halved?
This is why I told you not to complicate matters. We agreed that when we return to earth, you would get a divorce quietly and we would project a professional image. We always knew that our affair could beco public news and we made a plan.
The plan was to show people that no matter what mistake we made emotionally, we were still professional at our jobs and dedicated to the mission. Now, people are making jokes on the internet about us. A Hao’s endorsents are being cancelled and soone called him the national space bastard."
She sat down on the bed and buried her head in her hands. "The hospital has called and told to take a few days off work." Her shoulders started shaking and muffled sounds ca from her mouth.
Mo Liang put his hands around her shoulders. "It is going to be okay." he said gently.
Tang Yue raised her head, she looked at him through tear filled eyes. "How is it going to be okay when Lady Chi is apparently trying to acquire the hospital where I work? What do you think will happen if i i’s family owns West Union hospital? Obviously, they will kick out."
