"She is like my mother, they both give bad nas." i i comnted in judgent.
Her comnt paused Jingzhe’s huff. He was wise enough not to respond to it by reminding her that she was just the sa as them. Suddenly he wondered if this was a trait that their children would also inherit. It was already evident in Mingzhu.
The probability of showing in the rest of their children was pretty high.
"What is the na of the wolf pup by the way?" she asked him.
Jingzhe gulped first and then he mumbled out the na. "Miss Strawberry."
"A wolf nad Miss Strawberry!" i i exclaid. "She is worse than Mingzhu."
Once again, Jingzhe stopped himself from reminding her that there was no difference between her and Mingzhu.
"Forget the animals, first tell what my younger siblings are doing here so that I can arm myself before walking in." She requested.
Jingzhe put his hands around her shoulders and walked--pushed her to the living room slowly as he said, "Your parents have gone for a vacation and they left you older siblings in charge of the younger ones. Rose is the CEO of Phoenix group, she doesn’t have ti to keep an eye on the troubleso trio.
Mingzhe is taking so of his n on a deep cover mission in a nation he won’t na. Your aunts and uncles are all sohow busy and we are the only ones available to take in your younger siblings."
i i smiled at Jingzhe, she had no idea what a sarcastic smile was but she was sure it was what was on her face. There was no such thing as busy relatives--just people hiding hiding from the triplets. Even her uncles, the original dreaded triplets dreaded these triplets.
The boys had expensive tastes and the girl was always bringing ho vermin. They were the kind of visitors one took in for a week and not longer.
On reaching the living room, i i found them all peeking at the wide entrance. There was a lot of chatter, noise coming from the television which was showing the evening news and ow ow’s shrieks which were irritating. The bat was sitting on Jun Jie’s head shrieking at a frog on the table.
i i’s breathing increasing increased, picking up speed little by little. There was a frog on her table!!! Frogs were not pets for crying out loud.
"Calm down." Jingzhe whispered to her. "I told them that..."
"JUN YIYI....." i i bellowed.
The growl in that bellow could have brought the entire house down if possible. It was sohow loud enough to escape through a window that faced Wu Tangning’s house. It caught the attention of a maid that was closing the window.
She turned, sighed and said to a bodyguard, "There they go again with the noise."
The bodyguard paused by the window and he asked, "Do you think that it is another fight?"
The maid shrugged. "With them, who knows. My job is to inform the mistress about any unnatural noise coming from their house."
"So divorces are always like this." The bodyguard said. "When my sister caught her husband having an affair, she broke everything in the house before leaving. She even made the dog shit on the things she could not break. He ca ho to dog poop in the fridge."
"That is gross but nice." The maid laughed.
The bodyguard laughed and said, "He sued her for intentional property damage. In the end, she paid him more money than what she got in alimony. I don’t know if it was a success or loss for her."
"Did she think it was worth it?" The maid asked.
The bodyguard nodded.
The maid was about to send a ssage but thought twice about it. It was best to confirm that there was so drama going on before calling her mistress or else she would be arrested again. She went to the kitchen and got a cup, planning to borrow so sugar from the neighbors.
Back in i i’s house anwhile, Mingzhu was carrying the frog protectively in her hands, and also trying to carry tea, the kitten. Noodles did not seem to be too pleased by the way her baby was being carried carelessly and yet mama cat was too lazy to get up from where she was cuddling with General Big Yellow. She was sending grumpy looks Mingzhu’s way. As for biscuit, she was resting on Jun Lei’s lap.
"Sister, Miss hops a lot is very calm. She is the best frog in the world...." Jun Yi started.
"And she will lay frog eggs in my house and then I won’t have one frog, I will have a swamp of frogs." i i bit out.
Jun Jie started to snicker but a quick glare from i i put that to an end very quickly. The siblings respected Rose and Mingzhe but they respected and feared i i. Rose punished with slippers, Mingzhe gave military style punishnts or made you copy the rules of the family.
i i on the other hand was good at sudden pinching and her pinches were painful. It was like being pinched by a crab. She also hid your favorite things like toys, clothes, shoes, bags and if you made her really mad, she would sell or burn those things.
She had a talent for revenge--a rare gift really and she would plan it out slowly...so slowly that it would make you sit on pins and needles as you waited for her to strike. Her revenge was not dramatic, ruin-your-life kind of revenge. No, hers was refined, humorous even but it always left one embarrassed.
Jun Jie for example. He was the kind of sibling who liked to play pranks like hiding the remote, replacing fresh milk with expired one. He liked to drink the last sip of soda and replace it with water then carefully place it back in the fridge.
One day, he pulled a classic prank--replacing her shampoo with orange hair dye. i i had walked around with a carrot inspired hairdo for a week.
There had been on pinching however, no loud berating, no complaining to their parents....nothing. In fact, i i beca nicer and sweeter to Jun Jie which made him even more afraid. Three months later however, with nothing done, he relaxed and that was when she struck.
She knew he had a presentation at school and replaced his uniform with a weaker smaller pair that resembled the original. Jun Jie would never forget how the fabric put up a resistance at such a crucial ti! The buttons of his shirt popped open. When he bent down to pick them up, his trousers ripped. The sound of that rip still gave him nightmares to date.
When he ca ho, embarrassed, he found her sitting outside, drinking carrot juice in a transparent glass. She smiled at him and raised the glass.
"How was school?" she asked asked with a subtle smile.
Jun Jie had not pulled a prank on i i since then.
She had never out rightly admitted to what she had done but everyone knew it was her. Everyone in the family had suffered so kind of revenge at her hands. She was the queen of revenge.
