Gu Chi, the second son of my second uncle, is an erging artist. He exhibited artistic talent from a young age and later took art exams to beco an art student. During university, he participated in competitions and won several awards. By graduation, he had developed his own style.
Although he can’t compare with those well-known artists now, he has limitless potential.
He’s the kind of person who’s willing to do anything to pursue inspiration. He often goes out on art tours, turns off all electronic devices, and his family can’t locate him.
This ti, when Miaomiao returned ho, Gu Zheng left a ssage for him early. It took him more than two months to respond, directly sending back a painting.
After finishing his art tour, Gu Chi returned to Jiang City. When he found out that Pei Hai was short of a guest, he volunteered and even discussed in advance not to disclose it to the public, giving his cousins a surprise.
Pei Hai widened his eyes, "We agreed to surprise them together."
Gu Wangchao remained expressionless, "Oh, he guessed you would cooperate, so he contacted privately for a surprise."
Of course, he didn’t catch on. Seeing his big brother’s sneaky look, he understood the aning of ’surprise’.
By letting Pei Hai tease them, and now teasing Pei Hai in return, cousin Gu Chi’s personality hasn’t changed.
Tuanzi hugged Gu Wangchao’s neck, a little surprised.
"Is it the brother who sent a painting to Miaomiao? Yay, Miaomiao finally gets to et him."
She had privately contacted Gu Chi a bit, mostly greetings, but had never t him in person.
Gu Wangchao hesitated for a mont and said softly, "He’s a bit... be careful when you’re with him."
Tuanzi tilted her head, "?"
The three of them briefly rested, and Gu Wangchao even cleaned the room. A certain Film Emperor wanted to help but was chased out instead.
Tuanzi squatted at the courtyard gate, waiting eagerly.
"A new cousin, I really want to et him."
They waited and waited. The neighbors had already invited them to harvest rice together, but no sign of him appeared.
The two brothers went out first, telling her to stay ho and wait, and they’d bring him over when he arrived.
A few more minutes passed, and she couldn’t help but mumble, "Is there a traffic jam?"
At that mont, footsteps softly approached from behind, different from Pei Hai and Gu Wangchao’s walking habits.
It was a stranger.
In the Martial Hero World, it would be soone planning to sneak attack from behind.
As the stranger approached, Tuanzi leapt unexpectedly into the air, did a sorsault mid-air, landed behind him, and assud a defensive stance with her hands forward and backward.
"Who?"
The young man paused, then turned his head, revealing a handso face.
He wasn’t the type to astonish at first glance, but the more you looked, the more pleasant he seed. With crescent eyes, his brows curved softly, and with a smile, he greeted Tuanzi.
"Miaomiao, I’m Gu Chi."
Tuanzi slowly stood straight, curiously sizing him up. In white clothes and black pants, dressed cleanly and refreshingly, his eyes smiles like crescent moons, resembling a campus heartthrob.
She slowly revealed a matching smile.
Tuanzi: (∩_∩)
She jogged over, stood in front of Gu Chi, raised her head in confusion, and asked, "Why did Brother Gu Chi try to sneak attack?"
Gu Chi smiled innocently, "I took a wrong path, ca in through the back door, and couldn’t find you, so I reached the front yard."
"Oh oh, so that’s how it is."
Without any suspicion, Tuanzi naturally grabbed his hand, "Then let’s go harvest rice together. You should change your clothes, or they’ll get dirty."
Obediently, Gu Chi went to change his clothes.
Tuanzi waited at the door with hands folded, unable to help muttering, "Brother Gu Chi isn’t much like Third Uncle, he seems more like Third Aunt."
At Third Uncle’s house, Third Uncle was strict, while Third Aunt was gentle and often smiled.
However, she felt Gu Chi’s smile was sowhat different from Third Aunt’s. Gu Chi’s smile was gentle but a little odd.
[Miaomiao’s brothers are diverse but all handso]
[Today’s version seems like a campus heartthrob]
[I looked it up; he’s an erging artist, just starting to make a na for himself, 25 years old, a year older than Gu Wangchao]
[I can’t believe he’s 25. Looking at his face, he seems only 18]
[Is that the point? The point is he was clearly planning to surprise Miaomiao from behind, and upon being discovered, he claid he entered from the back door]
[It seems like he’s a sly fox with a slightly dark side]
The young artist, dubbed a smiling fox, changed into fresh clothes and, upon coming out, found Tuanzi holding a piece of sesa candy, nibbling at it like a serious-eating hamster.
He squatted down and asked, "Is it good?"
"Mm-hmm, super delicious. Mrs. Zhao who just passed by gave it to ."
The crescent eyes curved, showing a hint of envy in his eyebrows.
"There’s only one piece. I was in a hurry and haven’t eaten yet."
Tuanzi stopped nibbling, widened her eyes slightly, and looked at him.
After thinking, she broke the sesa candy into two, handing him the untouched half.
"Here you go."
Gu Chi took it, his smile broadening as he tasted it.
"Very tasty."
Tuanzi chuckled.
She led the new cousin out, not forgetting to borrow a straw hat from next door.
"Brother Gu Chi, rember to wear it, it’s very sunny."
As they were about to leave, a neighbor handed her a big red apple.
"Just picked from the orchard. Miaomiao, you can go pick so to take ho later!"
"Oh oh, thank you, Auntie!"
Tuanzi excitedly carried the washed apple out and couldn’t help but sniff it halfway.
The fruity fragrance made her swallow a little.
"If I eat it now, I’ll have energy for work."
She reasoned with herself, ready to take a bite when she sensed a heated gaze. Looking up, she found Gu Chi staring at her.
Gu Chi: (∩_∩)
"Are you hungry?"
Gu Chi nodded.
Tuanzi thought for a while, tore the apple apart barehanded, and offered him one piece.
"Have so, Xishui Village’s apples are especially delicious. There’s an orchard in the back mountain, and we might help with picking later."
Gu Chi took it, nibbling at it.
"It’s very delicious."
They walked toward the rice fields, occasionally encountering villagers.
The villagers greeted Tuanzi with smiles, and so casually offered food.
"Miaomiao, you get along so well with them."
"Mm-hmm, we’ll be helping each other from now on."
Tuanzi proactively shared Osmanthus Cake with this cousin, lest he look at her with that seemingly smiling but actually pitiful expression.
"Miaomiao will teach them Tai Chi Sword and stick skills, and they’ll teach Miaomiao how to transplant and harvest rice."
When the vegetable seedlings grew large enough to transplant, the celebrity guest Pei Hai invited was just as clumsy as him. Tuanzi was also a bit confused and damaged many seedlings. It was thanks to the villagers’ help that they planted so many vegetables.
By the ti they reached their destination, Gu Chi had already received plenty of food from his sister.
He hadn’t finished eating, still holding the remainder. Upon reaching the rice field, he saw Pei Hai straightening up, giving a roguish grin as he noticed his arrival.
"Another one learning..."
His gaze settled on the food in Gu Chi’s hand, then at his sister enjoying her al, and Pei Hai fell silent.
