Chapter 759: Chapter 355: Bloodshadow Demon Trace (Part 2)

Kovis nodded, “The connection of the rune is still there, it’s very quick. As long as I activate the spell… we have Death Claw and Xiao An, we can completely catch up.”

Leon, upon hearing this, suddenly looked down and pondered.

He thought for a mont and then confird, “After your tracking spell is activated, how long can it last?”

“A long ti, about half a year in active state, and unless that vampire is proficient in magic skills, or has other spellcasters to assist in dispersing it, there’s no way he can escape, even if he peels the skin off his back in one piece,” Kovis replied confidently.

He inscribed many diverse rune techniques on the flying sword to deal with different situations.

Leon felt familiar listening to this, “Is this the sa rune spell that Emmon once used to track you by placing it on your back?”

“Yes… but now I use the thods of Ancient Lorelette, both in efficiency and effectiveness are much superior,” recalling the humble experience of having runes embedded on him using such degrading tactics, Kovis replied sheepishly, his face slightly warm.

“So as long as it’s not activated, that vampire doesn’t know he’s been marked with a rune yet?”

“Should be correct… my lord, you intend to?”

Leon nodded, having already devised a new plan.

“No rush to activate the magic, let him escape first. It’s best if he can flee back to the Vampire Undead’s lair. We will act after the Knight Order catches up.”

David and others have been tracking for more than a year, yet they haven’t penetrated the dangerous south or found the location of the Vampire Undead army. The south is occupied with undead corpse ghosts that cannot be interrogated, leading to no progress in the investigation.

Leon only hoped that the fleeing vampire could bring more gains to this expedition.

The Griffin and Stormhawk flapped their wings, carrying the two back to the camp on the south bank of the Ustato River…

…..Far away.

Even further south than the border of the Kantadar Royal Court.

On the grasslands south of the Southern Mountain and Roslava Territory.

Once hosting nurous trade settlents of Urian’s tribal alliance, the vast lands now showed no trace of cattle, sheep, horse herds, or Urian herders.

Northeast of Urian, the Felu Mountain Range, dividing the mountain dwellers and plains people, was shrouded by an endless stretch of dark clouds.

Seemingly naturally ford yet unnaturally nacing like the claws and jaws of a demon, an impossible natural fortification rose upon this rugged terrain.

Amidst the soul-stirring purple magic light, countless wandering souls and demon ghosts road among the soul bell towers atop the towering stone peaks.

Beneath the ominous mountain city, on the barren, withered land, was an endless sight of undying undead.

Corpse ghosts, seeming like tireless laborers, ceaselessly built the massive walls and altars surrounding the undead mountain city under the control of corpse witches.

Vast hordes of Urian undead cavalry followed the ground-trembling corpse ghost war elephants, wandering about.

Above the cloudy sky, a massive undead flying dragon pierced through the clouds, its malford flesh and blood of giant wings flickering with a faint glow, flying directly to the high tower platform atop the mountain city.

The dried mbranous dragon wings flapped, the strong magic power vibrating the air.

The flying dragon descended with a roar, the skeletal dragon’s mouth spewing out magic flas that burnt souls, seemingly mirroring the rage of the master enslaving the dragon soul.

On the platform, death knights adorned with single-eye emblems in black armor raised their glowing eyes and lifted their blades.

In the skeletal throne on the dragon’s back, the unusually towering Corpse Demon Lord pressed the shrieking demon blade with skeletal fingers, hissing hoarsely.

“….Bring out that Athias deceiver to see !”

The flying dragon roared in response.

Under the dragon’s roar that could burn souls, the death knights had to retract to evade.

“What angers you so, your esteed Majesty the King?”

A chilly, low laughter like a broken bellows echoed from the high tower’s door.

A dense cluster of footsteps like arthropod legs approached.

A slender figure wrapped in a luxurious black single-eye magic robe stepped out of the tower’s shadow, moving with six pairs of insect-like blade legs.

Aviout on the dragon’s back looked over.

The arriving guy was indeed one of those Athias deceivers, but it wasn’t the one he wanted to see.

“You are not qualified to speak to , Eldeya, where is your lowly master?”

The Corpse Demon Lord grasped the demon blade, the nacing exposed fangs on his dry giant skull opening and closing.

“Please forgive, Your Majesty Aviout, Venerable Kazak is busy with the final part of the ritual, truly unable to co see you,” the lich nad Eldeya explained respectfully, mouth opening and closing.

Aviout was furious.

“I have been magnanimous, giving you a year. I have shielded you from those blood beasts till now, yet there still isn’t the slightest sign of a solution.”

The Corpse Demon Lord raised the demon blade, sharp claw slicing through the smoke-enshrouded blade, under the naless tal transparent like ink crystal, seed countless souls weeping in fear.

“…Don’t make think you’re trying to deceive the King once more.”

“No, no, no, my esteed Majesty the King, we’ve never attempted to deceive you. You must know, we’ve also been hard by those sinister entities of the Spirit Realm. Look at , I was so charming before, now I look like a piece of rotten flesh dug out from the dirt…”

Eldeya’s bony black fingers gently clasped together, explaining nervously with a humble deanor but a voice undisturbed, lending a hint of mockery to his words.

“You must believe my master, whether it’s Venerable Kazak or us, like you, we all wish to rid ourselves of death and restore the vitality of the past…” the lich rasped a smile.

Aviout’s ghostly eyes suddenly glared at that silver-tongued wizard.

The demon blade unleashed thick smoke, a re thought——

Boom!

With an ear-splitting crash, the slender lich was instantly crushed by the terrifying magic force into the deep depression on the platform’s stone slab, body distorted beyond recognition.

“Not just restoring life, but endless eternal life and the power I have now!” Aviout stabbed the blade to the ground, commanding the mount dragon to flap its wings anew.

“I will take another million corpse ghosts. Rember, wizard scum, even kings have limited patience. If there’s still no word in half a year, I don’t mind ceasing the war with Charlemagne and his blood beasts, letting them co and tear you all apart.”

Leaving behind a pronouncent akin to a royal decree, the Corpse Demon Lord controlled the flying dragon to ascent, turning toward the vast undead army below the mountain.

Raising the demon blade high, where the dragon wings passed, countless undead howled to the sky, following the command of the void toward the northwest….

On the high tower, the death knights dug for a long ti before eventually pulling Eldeya out from below the floor.

The lich’s twisted figure creaked as it slowly repositioned itself, its dry face still smiling as before.

“Heh heh…..what an unreasonable fool…enjoy this final arrogance, petty mortal…..

When the great Venerable Valary ascends to divinity in that Exotic Realm, everything in the world will crawl beneath us……”
