253: Chapter 130 “A Resounding Victory 253: Chapter 130 “A Resounding Victory The cavalry at the forefront of the lee brandished their spears, stabbing down at the infantry amidst the raucous roars of anger.

The Platonians’ formation, which had been battered from behind, had already collapsed; Kovis’s battle banner had no choice but to retreat with the fleeing footsoldiers to the ridge above, while the guards who originally shielded the banner were reduced to rely three swordsn.

The three hamr-and-shield guards on the outside were completely subrged beneath Wolfenhol’s iron hooves, their fates unknown.

Even with assistance from Longka infantry on their left flank, Selva’s hard-pressed square was reaching the critical point of defeat.

The battlefield entered the final decisive monts.

With no room left for command, the vigorous old Brian brandished his sword and fought desperately against the Wolf Territory soldiers about to break through.

His blade beca stained with fresh blood, and in a mont of daze, the old knight felt as though he were back on the King’s Domain battlefield.

As the Inner Court Knights urgently commanded, the Wolf Territory’s heavy cavalry, which had stopped their advance, did not chase after the enemy’s routed forces.

Their disordered ranks had no ti to reorganize, and they had to quickly follow their superior’s orders to turn back and go to the rescue of their Young Master, who had unexpectedly been unhorsed and was struggling in single combat.

The space they vacated was just filled by the main formation of the advancing Knight Yom’s infantry, who, still unengaged and energetic, drove the fleeing Platonians step by step towards Duwana’s halberdiers, who were exhaustedly engaged in battle at the northern end.

Wolfenhol Army’s victory was nearing.

However, the Inner Court Knight, deeply concerned for the Young Master’s safety, had just led his cavalry past Yom’s square when he saw a detachnt of the enemy’s cavalry, already in full charge, rushing towards them from the flank and rear of their allies.

Only then did he realize why Yom’s formation had, while advancing, put down a defensive spear formation on the flanks and rear like a porcupine.

At such a close distance, there was no ti to even warn the troops within a few seconds.

Suddenly, two groups of cavalry, one large and one small, crossed paths in a V-shape.

The warhorses collided, and despite Farolis’s assault consisting of just a handful of riders, the Wolfenhol cavalry, freshly disengaged from the charge, were taken by surprise and several were unseated by the impact of cavalry weapons in the instant of contact.

Lokhak swung a halberd in reverse, using the montum to crush the helt of an enemy from behind, leaving a depression.

His twirling halberd’s blade chopped another cavalry spear out of the hands of a rider who had pressed forward with his horse’s hooves.

The towering youth, roaring as he fought alongside Sir Redo’s horse hooves, targeted an Inner Mansion Knight of the Wolf Family, whose battle robe was distinctly bright amidst the fray.

Amidst the chaotic fray, Sir Redo, raising his halberd high, t the Spearman from the Wolf Family head-on with enormous force.

The heavy weapons clashed continuously; the knight of the Wolf and Rose struggled evenly for the ti being.

Lokhak and Sir Redo, along with their two Knight Attendants, fought back fiercely against the Wolf Family Knights encircling the dualing officers.

Azeryan was working together with Baron Anquela’s second son, covering each other.

As their horse’s hooves gradually slowed by the enemy’s obstruction, the noble’s son caught a glimpse of his friend’s distinctive Wing Helt from the corner of his eye.

Seeing his best friend engaged in combat with a luxuriously armored knight of the crowned Wolf Family, Azeryan suddenly had a realization; he anxiously turned and shouted to the figure in silver armor on a white horse not far away,

“Olivia!

That might be the enemy leader!

Leave the delay to us!

Quickly go and support Leon!!”

“!…Leon?”

Amidst the chaos of shouts and horse neighs, upon hearing the na of her companion being shouted, Olivia’s spear swept through her foes like a ferocious dragon, pushing back several encircling cavalryn.

She yanked her horse’s head around, slicing and charging through the ranks, her gaze directed through the slits of her helt at her lover entangled with an enemy officer in the distance.

Anxiousness gripped the young girl’s heart, and she instantly let out a sharp command to her horse and, shaking the reins, she charged forward with her spear…

“…..A few cavalries think they can defeat my Wolf Pack?

Dream on!

Look behind you!

Your army is finished!”

Canis laughed heartily beneath his wolf head helt, his fighting spirit high.

With a clang of his Arm Armor, he took up a nearly identical cross-sword stance and charged forcefully at the Winged Helt Knight before him.

His heavy steps kicked up dust and stones; the Wolf Family Young Master thrust his sword directly toward his opponent’s lower body.

Leon sidestepped the vicious thrust targeting his vitals and then lifted the handle with his left hand and pushed down with his right hand on the sword guard, his blade fiercely eting the enemy’s, sending sparks flying like welding in a bursting display of force, barely holding off the opponent’s swift change in attacks.

The sharp edges of the swords, which had already been blunted in fierce combat, were still entangled under the knights’ strength until the variously designed sword guards interlocked in a push-and-pull, screeching as they locked together mid-struggle.

“Your clever halberdsn indeed caused so trouble, but sly tricks won’t win a war.

Your lines are retreating, but I have yet to commit all forces from the riverbank.

Surrender, and I can still leave you so dignity!”

Canis harassed with his words, attempting to trip his opponent’s leg by stepping outside.

Leon ignored the trash talk and simply retreated, pulling his leg back.

Sensing a slack in the clashing sword force, Canis imdiately followed with a kick to his opponent’s knee armor in a returning blow for the earlier kick.

Thump!

Leon nearly lost his balance from the kick and hastily stabilized himself, pressing his sword against his opponent’s lifted arm.

With a sudden release of strength in his left hand, Leon bellowed and twisted to the side with his right hand gripping the sword hilt, his fist topped with Iron Gloves and the steel ridge smashing fiercely into his opponent’s visor.

Clang!

Canis took a solid blow from the steel fist, and even though the thick helt, chainmail coif, and padded cap absorbed much of the shock, the skewed view forced him to montarily step back to steady his helt.
