Chapter 312: Chapter 307: The Elent Lord in Breeding Stage
“Just as I suspected.” Within the blazing sea of fire, Muria stared at the red fla giant in front of her, its re presence causing the surrounding space to tremble.
The Fire Elent Lord, or rather, more precisely, this is a Fire Elent Lord that’s still in its gestation stage. Through its semi-transparent body of flas, Muria saw a throbbing heart at its chest.
This was a heart ford by elental crystals. Every heartbeat produced a powerful energy that was transmitted to every part of this fla giant through energy channels. This heart belonged to an Elental Lord who had fallen thousands of years ago.
“Muria, I want to eat that,” Yingdila, returning to her original form and held in Muria’s arms, drooled and pleaded adorably at the sight of the heart radiating awe-inspiring energy fluctuations.
“You’ve eaten so many hearts of the elder elents already, it’s my turn now.” Muria, who’d also returned to her original form, pinched Yingdila’s little face. “This elental heart is mine.”
Muria risked her life to co here for this very heart of the Fire Elent Lord. When she first heard from the Tower Spirit that an elental turmoil occurred here, Muria hypothesized that there might be the heart of an Elental Lord or a fire-related treasure of the sa level here.
In the world of Elasia, almost all Mage Towers’ power co from the elental realms. As long as an elental pool was opened in the Mage Tower and connected to the elental realms, it ant that the Mage Tower had an infinite, inexhaustible source of energy from then on.
But to set up an elental pool wasn’t without its risks. Opening an elental passage would attract the elental lives from the elental realms.
The bigger the elental passage that was opened, the more elental creatures it attracted and the stronger these creatures tended to be. Furthermore, an overly dense accumulation of elents could naturally spawn elental lives, although such a situation was generally unlikely.
However, mages had long figured out a sche to circumvent the risks that ca with opening an elental pool. They set up magic arrays with filtering abilities in the passage to the elental realms, allowing only pure elents to pass through, while any elental lifeforms with self-awareness were denied.
This magic array functioned similarly to a fishing net, albeit it provided a much higher level of interception and targeted far more powerful beings. If the “fishing net” were to break, the elental pool would automatically close the passage to the elental realms.
Mages had long found ways to safely use the power from the elental realms. However, even the most reliable thod was not without its occasional missteps, like the Mage Tower where Muria now stood.
The legendary mage and elental master, Heinal, intended to build a Floating City, and so he expanded the scale of the elental pool in his Mage Tower to generate energy sufficient to supply an entire Floating City.
In simpler terms, he wanted to increase the size of the passage to the elental realms. To maintain the stable existence of an elental passage, the legendary mage Heinal also had to rely on so precious treasures for support.
Such as a heart of a Lord-level elental, undoubtedly, it was the best choice to support the connection with the elental realms.
As a legendary mage preparing to build the Floating City, Heinal was considered one of the wealthiest among the mages; money was of no concern to him.
All four elental pools for Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire, were supported by corresponding Lord-level elental hearts. This was also the case for so pools for non-basic elents, such as Thunder and Ice.
Unfortunately, right when his Floating City was about to be completed, Heinal died, leading to an abrupt halt to the construction progress. Without his maintenance, the Floating City simply couldn’t be built.
What followed were the events narrated by the Tower Spirit. Because the Mage Tower used significantly less energy than the elental pool generated, it led to a large surplus accumulation of elents. This resulted in the scene Muria saw now.
All around were elental life forms of fire. Accumulated elents over tens of thousands of years had even given birth to a few Lord-level elental elders. Most importantly, these overly dense fire elents actually used the heart of the Lord-level elent supporting the passage as the nucleus to rebreed a legendary level Fire Elental Lord.
“No, I want to eat it.” Hearing Muria’s refusal, Yingdila, held in her arms, imdiately beca upset. Compared to the heart of a Lord-level elent, what does the heart of an elder elent even count for?
“Listen, this heart is of great use to ,” Muria soothed Yingdila with a gentle smile. She would reason with her first and if that didn’t work, she’d resort to force. She was not afraid of Yingdila causing trouble as she had ways to restrain her.
“Also, Yingdila, let
tell you, there are at least four hearts like this one here,” coaxed Muria as if she was dealing with a child, “Four hearts. Shall we go half and half? Two for each of us.”
“Mmm.” Yingdila’s eyes brightened upon hearing Muria’s words. She chewed on her finger and pondered for a mont, before finally agreeing to Muria’s suggestion.
“I will take this heart first then.” Muria put down Yingdila and took a step towards the elental Lord that was still in its gestation stage, under her envious gaze.
“What a pity. Perhaps given another thousand years, you might be able to form a complete consciousness and appear in this world as an Elental Lord. However, you’ve t .” Muria lanted with her mouth, but her hands were swift. She held the Prison Suppression Halberd and pierced the Elental Lord’s skull, annihilating its nascent soul.
There was no rcy. Muria wasn’t so benevolent that she would feel sympathy for an elental body that didn’t even know if it had produced consciousness.
During this process, no fire Elental Lives ca to obstruct her. Almost all Elental Life forms, including the few elders who were guarding the Elental Lord, had been wiped out jointly by Muria and Yingdila. In fact, the majority of them had been consud by Yingdila.
“Roar!” As Muria pierced through the skull of the Elental Lord, a faint roar rang by her ears, followed by a red light rising from the not-yet-fully-gestated Elental Lord and descending towards Muria.
“Crang!” “Roar!” “Growl!” The red light hadn’t yet fallen when Muria’s weapons and Bloodline reacted, and the phantom images of nine divine weapons appeared behind Muria with a sonorous ring. The red light exploded while still hanging in the air.
High above, the imposing phantom image of Titan brandishing an axe and a majestic Golden Dragon King appeared, blocking sothing or soone’s sight from the Fire elental realm unbeknownst to Muria.
“Tsk.” Seeing the red light that seed like a curse or a mark exploded, a hint of surprise showed on Muria’s face: “There is a curse for killing an unford Elental Lord… Well, it’s not a big issue.”
