It had been said long ago that lips are a woman’s third most sensitive spot; a skilled and sweet kiss can fully arouse a woman’s desire. Yufei had tasted its flavor atop the London Eye, so despite the initial tension, she soon got into the rhythm with Adrian. His hands slowly road and caressed her body, and her stiff limbs gradually softened amid her low moans.
However, when Adrian laid her on the bed, she beca nervous again. After all, compared to the relatively tall Adrian, she who hadn’t yet fully matured seed too petite, and being a traditionally conservative Eastern girl, the sense of overwhelming pressure made her inherently tense up. Adrian didn’t mind and kept kissing and caressing her, continuously engaging in foreplay to help her relax. He was always very patient with won.
"Feifei, do you hate your mother?" Adrian asked as he held her in his arms and wiped the tears from her cheeks.
"No..." Although she took a while before giving an answer, she pressed firmly into his embrace, the girl nevertheless provided a completely opposite response.
"Oh?" Adrian raised an eyebrow, his hands never stopping their journey across her body.
"My mother and I... have been through a lot... I know she has it tough... I... I..." She faltered, unable to finish her thought, biting her lip while her eyes conveyed a lost expression. After a mont, she looked up at Adrian and timidly asked, "Will... will you be good to ?"
"Of course," Adrian whispered as he kissed her softly, "as long as you obediently follow instructions."
This was, after all, Yufei’s first ti, and she didn’t have much stamina, so she quickly fell into a deep sleep. Adrian held her until she was sound asleep before gently getting out of bed. Then, since there was no water jug in the bedroom, he silently slipped out wrapped in a robe to pour himself a glass of water in the kitchen.
"Who’s there?" Upon coming out and ascending the stairs, Adrian suddenly spotted a figure trying to hide and imdiately called out.
"It’s... it’s ." Liu Li erged from the shadows, sowhat embarrassed, a worried and ingratiating smile on her face.
Adrian realized who it was and sneered inwardly, thinking how the love of parents truly knows no bounds.
"You gave a scare. I thought soone had broken in," he said casually.
"I just wanted to..." Liu Li carefully selected her words while stealthily watching his expression.
"Don’t worry," Adrian waved his hand, "I am very satisfied. You did very well, and I liked it very much."
Then a thought flickered through his mind, "Just one thing..."
"What is it?" Liu Li imdiately tensed up.
Adrian said nothing but reached out to grasp Liu Li’s chin. Frankly speaking, she was well-preserved and didn’t look old at all, and her figure was quite fine. Undoubtedly a dancer by training, he believed she must have been even prettier than Yufei in her youth. Even if in a few years she might not catch his eye, she had a certain allure right now.
Liu Li’s face turned pale, but she said nothing and did not push his hand away, instead turning her head away in anger as a form of protest. Adrian didn’t care much about that. He took a few steps behind her, wrapped his arms around her waist, and gently pulled her closer. Despite the passionate ti he’d just spent with Yufei, as it was her first ti, Adrian had focused all his attention on her and hadn’t indulged himself much. Now that there was such a mature woman before him, he naturally made no pretence of politeness.
The woman let out a light snort but still didn’t make a move, which puzzled him. Given her expression just monts ago, even if she didn’t dare resist, she would at least push him away and say a few words. Why was there no reaction? However, he quickly realized why—both were clad in thin pajamas, and pressed together like this, one could naturally feel the other’s response. Liu Li’s breathing had beco noticeably hurried, and under the dim light of the corridor, one could clearly see her ears turning slightly red.
"I’ll be coming to see you from ti to ti," Adrian said as he left, kissing Liu Yufei in front of Liu Li, causing the girl to blush deeply with embarrassnt. But it was precisely because of this that she failed to notice her mother’s face also reddening, or Adrian’s hand as it retracted from her mother’s hip.
It had truly been a delightful holiday. On the way back, Adrian flirted with his air hostess sweethearts while reminiscing with pride about the experience, feeling good about changing the world. Yes, especially since these changes were developing in a direction that favored him, such as at Burbank High School where things had already begun to change.
"In any case, our most imdiate goal is to beat Swindon High School in the next competition! No matter how ambitious our ultimate goals are, if we can’t defeat Swindon High School, everything else is just talk. Do you understand?!" In the school gymnasium, the cheerleader captain, dressed in her team’s uniform, was pep-talking her team mbers.
The cheerleaders’ uniform was primarily purple with touches of yellow—very tasteful. Exposing the midriff, with skirts several inches shorter, they conveyed both a healthy vitality and an elent of sexiness.
"No problem!" the team mbers responded loudly in unison, clearly showing their captain had authority.
"Good, now you’re dismissed. Let’s go!" the girl gestured, and the team mbers started walking out in pairs or groups of three before she called another girl back, "Wait, Blake."
"What’s up?" asked a girl nad Blake as she gathered her things. She had beautiful blonde hair and attractive features, and though there was a small mole on the right side of her nose, it didn’t detract from her beauty. It simply made her look a little older.
"After discussing it, I think you’re the most suitable to be my assistant. Help execute that last, challenging move," the captain said earnestly.
"? Really?" the girl asked, eyes wide with surprise and slight disbelief.
"Of course. You’re outstanding and competent. Why not?" the captain smiled. "Even the role of captain wouldn’t be too difficult for you."
"No problem! I’ll definitely work hard to do my best," Blake said with a firm and beaming smile.
However, as soon as the captain walked away and left through the gym doors, the smile on Blake’s face vanished as if a stop button had been pressed. In its place was an indescribable look of contempt and superiority.
"What did she say to you?" a girl, part of Blake’s clique, sidled up to her.
"’Even the role of captain wouldn’t be too difficult for you,’" Blake repeated mockingly in a strange tone, rolling her eyes.
"The sa old clichés. Can’t she co up with better words to win you over?" Blake’s friend scoffed.
"You have to understand, Ira, one can’t expect more from a country bumpkin." She shrugged, as though the pretty captain with the respected position on the cheerleading squad was insignificant in her eyes, "By the way, any word from Regina?"
"Not yet, you know these things take ti," Ira spread her hands.
Just as they were speaking, a ringtone sounded from Blake’s bag. Pulling out her phone, she imdiately said to her friend with a look of triumph, "See, it’s Regina calling, definitely so good news."
He quickly connected the call, muttering "uh-huh" and "aha" a few tis, interspersed with a few phrases laced with schadenfreude and surprise like "Really?" and "Are you sure?" Finally, Blake closed his cell phone with a smug look on his face.
"Looks like you’ve got quite the scoop," Ira said with a laugh beside him.
"Bigger than you can imagine, Ira," Blake squinted his eyes toward the direction the cheerleader captain had left, "The cheerleader captain’s mine now."
"Huh?" Ira was sowhat unsurprised and confused.
"You wouldn’t believe it, but her parents have been drug trafficking for a long ti and got nabbed by the FBI," Blake said casually, arms crossed, "And what you’d believe even less is that her mother got pregnant with her in prison."
"Really? Oh my God," Ira exclaid in a low voice, a mix of worry and excitent, "She’s going to be the front-page news of the school paper, and... she had a significant role in ’Spy Kids’, maybe so tabloid journalists would want to buy this story."
"You’re missing sothing, Ira, I bet no one is really interested in finding out where she actually grew up," Blake snickered maliciously.
Ira was taken aback at first but then quickly understood what Blake ant, her expression turning to one of hesitation, "Isn’t this a bit... excessive, Blake?"
Blake hesitated too, but soon snorted again, "Don’t worry about it, Ira. She had the nerve to try and put down once, she better be prepared for the retaliation!"
Her tone was filled with extre dissatisfaction; she clearly rembered the humiliation inflicted by the cheerleader captain. After a pause, Blake added, "No need to rush it, let’s prepare for a while and plan out a detailed sche, I’ll make her step down in one go. Plus, we’ve got the competition with Swindon High School coming up, and I don’t want the team to fail because of rushing her out and end up taking the bla for her—As for telling the tabloid journalists, I’ll leave that be."
Once she’s despised at school, naturally soone will do it, but that’d be none of Blake’s concern anymore. Blake thought to himself, then picked up her bag and went with Ira chatting and laughing to the changing room.

After returning to Los Angeles, Adrian cald down for four or five days, but ’The Matrix’ still hadn’t started filming, and he had so other things to handle, like preparing Avril’s new album. Her debut album ’The Theory of Flight,’ despite being impacted by 9/11, had so far sold diamond worldwide and was on its way to double diamond due to its quality.
Since she spent Christmas and New Year’s in Canada, and with her life gradually starting to focus more on her career, it wasn’t a problem for her to return to Los Angeles a bit late, so Adrian was relatively relaxed. Of course, there were many phone calls, and when Adrian went to New York, he first visited her in Canada before heading south, without staying for too long, of course, because her family still didn’t know about their relationship. For so reason, Avril couldn’t tell her parents yet.
This was considered good news. He had to say, the request he had reluctantly agreed to initially, and with a rather ambiguous response, had brought him quite a bit of trouble. He needed to find a way to resolve it or else once she turned 18 this year, this little witch might just go public with their relationship. She was totally capable of it, and that was another headache.
"Why is it that every ti I call you, your secretary answers?" Avril whined as she kneeled on the sofa and wrapped her arms around Adrian’s back, "I’m your girlfriend."
"Because that’s precisely what a secretary is supposed to do," Adrian stopped playing with the guitar in his hands and looped an arm around her neck, "You should know, Vini, that’s how my job works."
Avril humd and pouted, looking down at him, "I always feel like you’re hiding sothing."
"Alright, then what do you think I’m hiding?" Adrian opened his hands with an earnest look, the girl squinted at him for a long while, suddenly leaned in and kissed him on the mouth, "Okay, you’re not hiding anything—Uncle!"
"Is it that you really like it when I call you like this?" she deliberately elongated her voice teasingly.
"Of course, especially in bed," Adrian answered without hesitation to such questions.
Avril imdiately spit at him and punched him several tis, then made a funny face, intending to run away.
"Wait, Vini," Adrian hesitated, then called out to the girl.
"What is it?" Avril stopped and knelt on the couch, resting her chin on her fists as she looked up at him, a pose that made her appear very cute.
"I have to leave Los Angeles the day after tomorrow," Adrian started to say but changed his mind at the last mont, the words dying on his lips.
"Leaving again? Where to this ti?" Avril suddenly seed unhappy.
"Just across the Pacific, don’t worry, it’s not like London this ti, I’ll be back in four or five days at most," Adrian reassured her. "Or, you could co with ? Think of it as a vacation."
The girl was sowhat tempted, but quickly sighed, "I can’t, I have a schedule the day after tomorrow, and events lined up for several consecutive days."
Of course, Adrian knew this. Don’t forget, Ivanka’s secretarial skills are only slightly inferior to Charlize’s; otherwise, he would never have brought it up.
"It’s okay, we can talk about it so other ti, there’s no rush," Adrian kissed Avril and let out an inward sigh. If she had stayed by his side when she was younger, like Sarah, Kirsten, or Christina, perhaps things would be slightly better now.
Regardless, two days later, Adrian still boarded his private jet and flew across the Pacific, not to that continent but to Japan.
"I’m sorry I didn’t have everyone co back for New Year," Adrian said as he descended the airstair, speaking to the girl beside him.
"It’s okay, at least mom and dad ca to the United States, and they had a great ti," Nakama Yukie was as gentle as ever.
"But you could only show them your Emmy award," Adrian said with a smile, "There’s a Chinese saying: ’Wealth without return is like walking in brocade at night.’"
Gilmore Girls, with a the very aligned with mainstream social values and barely any profanity in its dialogue, had moderate viewer ratings but kept filming season after season and was often nominated for Emmy Awards. However, the Emmys have nurous categories, like dayti, priti, and late-night. The award Yukie won wasn’t considered very prestigious, to an extent it was more of a recognition for the contributions of Asians to Arican TV.
But still, it was an Emmy, and who really cares about the prestige? So after Yukie won the award, the Japanese dia hyped it up again, and she is now considered the most famous Japanese actress to break into Hollywood.
"Coming back now is just the sa," Yukie said with a purse-lipped smile. She walked to the two waiting cars before asking cautiously, "Should I... tell Ayu?"
"Send my regards to Ayu, I have business this ti and probably won’t co to see you guys," Adrian smiled, knowing what Yukie ant. This trip to Japan was for another matter and was very discreet; even their collaborator Sony wasn’t notified.
He was there to visit a set. Sofia’s Lost in Translation was already halfway through shooting.
