Chapter 532: Chapter 253 Stallion

The azure sky was dotted with white clouds, and the sun’s warm rays, typical of a winter’s day, brought everything to life. Such clear weather was considered a good on. The villa by the sea was bustling with people; most n wore smart suits, chatting and laughing among themselves, either loudly or with restraint, while the won, mostly in beautiful dresses, were like delicate flowers, attracting everyone’s attention.

“How do I look, Ed? How do I look?” On the other side of the villa, Dennis fidgeted with his bowtie, incessantly asking Adrian.

“Don’t worry, Dan, you look handsor than ever. Even if Jenny gets cold feet and runs away halfway through, there will be ladies at the wedding willing to take her place,” Adrian joked.

“Stop joking, Ed. If that really happened, I’d have to jump off a cliff,” Dennis said, taking a deep breath, obviously still very nervous.

“Okay, okay, how was the bachelor party last night? Did I miss anything?” Adrian changed the subject with a laugh.

“Well… It was okay, you know, the final… craziness,” Dennis recalled, then shrugged.

“You’re not saying you and the stripper…” Adrian whispered, squinting his eyes.

“Of course not, absolutely not. Although she was indeed hot, I wouldn’t do sothing like that right before getting married. We just watched and drank, that’s all. ”

“Fair enough, but what if you were planning to reenact the night of the engagent today? I just saw Lisa, Courteney, and Jenny chatting away over there,” Adrian said with a mischievous grin.

At this comnt, Dennis turned pale. He called out in a low voice, “Ed!”

“Alright, I’ll stop, my bad,” Adrian said, raising his hands, but continued teasingly, “So, is Noni your target then? I saw her getting on quite well with Jenny, although not as much as Lisa and Courteney.”

“Noni…” Dennis was montarily lost in thought at the ntion of the na but quickly ca to his senses and gave Adrian a long sigh as he clutched his head.

“Please, not this again, Ed. I’m about to get married,” he pleaded rather ‘woefully.’

Adrian imdiately broke into laughter, then, changing his tone, patted Dennis on the shoulder: “Alright, no more jokes, Dan. It’s no big deal. Despite all the ups and downs with Jenny, you ultimately ended up together. That’s sothing to celebrate, no matter what. You know, in China, there are four major life celebrations, and marriage is one of them. So, relax. After the wedding ceremony, Jenny will be your wife.”

This seed to calm Dennis so. After taking another deep breath, he suddenly turned and asked, “What about you, Ed? Do you have any potential marriage candidates?”

“That…,” Adrian pondered, stroking his chin, then countered, “Who do you think is suitable?”

Dennis couldn’t help but glance at the female guests outside, shivered, and shook his head like a rattle drum: “I don’t know, you decide for yourself.”

Finally, the wedding began. On the edge of the cliff by the coast, over a hundred guests were seated in order, with the groom standing at the end of the red carpet with the priest, flanked by several groomsn. As the music started, a bride in a pure white wedding dress appeared at the entrance of the red carpet. She lowered her head with a shy smile that was nevertheless so pure and holy that it was admirable.

Although most of the eyes were on the bride, so guests were watching other people, like Winona Ryder sitting in the last row, biting her lips tightly. No one expected her to attend her ex-boyfriend’s wedding. For a long ti after their breakup, she didn’t want anyone to ntion Dennis in her presence. And just a few days ago, after the news of Dennis’s marriage to Aniston broke, she was still hounded by reporters asking for her feelings.

Even though Winona had previously seed to get along quite well with Aniston, she never spoke privately with Dennis. And now, her pale face and the thick discontent in her expression showed that she hadn’t completely let go.

Apart from them, Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox turned their attention to Dennis, but no one noticed except for a certain individual.

Jennifer Aniston, clad in a pure white wedding dress, walked slowly forward, followed by two flower girls, one big, one small, holding up her dress. One was seven years old, the other three, both dressed in white lace dresses with smiles on their faces, incredibly adorable, like two little angels—especially the three-year-old, whose eyes darted about, looking very lively.

Once the bride stood next to the groom with her bridesmaids by her side, the formal ceremony began. The priest started to read the centuries-old marriage articles that had seeped into the bones of Westerners, and even if the wedding wasn’t held in a church, they would still invite a priest to preside over the ceremony.

“Now, I pronounce you man and wife, you may kiss the bride,” the priest declared, after asking the groom if he would live with the bride in all circumstances, and then repeating the questions to the bride. After the couple exchanged rings, Dennis smiled, took his wife into his arms, and kissed her passionately while applause erupted from all around.

Celebration ti naturally followed, with guests either expressing their best wishes to the bride and groom, enjoying delicious food, or chatting with one another, making the entire wedding incredibly lively.

“Congratulations to you both, but Dan, don’t forget, there’s a movie next month you’re leading in—don’t be late,” Adrian said with a chuckle, directly in front of Dennis and Aniston.

“That’s not fair, you promised we’d have at least three months for our honeymoon,” Dennis protested imdiately.

“Circumstances change faster than plans—you should know, I agreed at the beginning of the year, and now it’s already the end,” Adrian spread his hands, “Besides, I did leave you one month’s ti—bear in mind, filming was supposed to start this month.”

“No, no, no, Ed, you need to keep your word,” Dennis continued to negotiate, “One month is too little, no matter how you put it.”

“Ed, if you don’t agree, be wary of our full boycott,” Aniston joined in and gestured to the other five old friends.

“We support Rachel!” Matt LeBlanc was the first to shout, followed by Matthew Perry, David Schwimr, Lisa Kudrow, and Courteney Cox in succession.

“Wow, look at that, Dan, you really married a good wife. She’s mobilized support for you so quickly,” Adrian exaggerated with a gesture, then winked at Dennis.

Catching the hint, Dennis imdiately replied, “Thanks, Ed, but this ti I’m on Jenny’s side. You figure it out.”

“Alright, alright, I’ll give you an extra month. We’ll make up the rest after work is done, how’s that?” Adrian raised his hands as cheers followed suit.

Indeed, a match made in heaven. After leaving the bride and the groom, Adrian couldn’t help but smile inwardly. The plan had been for Dennis to push for an extra month of vacation to show he put his wife and family first, but Aniston imdiately offered the maximum support. If Adrian hadn’t given Dennis a way out, maybe the spotlight would have been stolen by his wife, and it’s unclear if Aniston did it intentionally or not.

At that mont, Adrian thought of Winona, who had hurriedly left after the ceremony. This love triangle was really… He shrugged his shoulders and decided not to bother with it anymore, turning his head to look around.

“Daddy!” A crisp voice entered his ears, and then a girl in a white lace dress, Lily, raised her hands and ca waddling over.

“Hey, sweetheart, are you having fun today?” Adrian laughed unabashedly as he swept her into his arms. At three years old, Lily was still so adorable and even more lively and clever.

The little one giggled and nodded, snorting a strong “Mhm” from her little nose, “Being a flower girl is fun.”

Although Adrian was close to Dennis, his status and position made it impossible to be his best man—not even attending the bachelor party. So, how to show their closeness? By having Lily be Aniston’s flower girl.

“How did I do, Daddy?” Lily wrapped her arms around her father’s neck and acted coquettishly.

“Very well, you were like a little angel,” Adrian said, and pecked a kiss on her cheek. “By the way, where’s Mom?”

No sooner had he asked than Kate’s voice sounded from nearby, “Is sothing the matter?”

She was dressed in a long-sleeved dress with cutout designs, her brown hair softly curling over her shoulders, and she looked quite stunning in her poised appearance.

“Nothing, I just wanted to see what you were up to,” Adrian said with a shrug and a smile.

“It should be ‘you two,'” another voice chid in, and then Charlize, in her woman’s skirt suit, appeared before him.

“Um… is there sothing you need, Charli?” Adrian raised his eyebrows in surprise.

“Nothing, I just took a call from the company, and they’ve faxed over what you wanted from New Zealand, so I ca to let you know,” Charlize said in a casual tone.

“Oh, I really should thank you, Charli. You’re still thinking about work at a ti like this,” Adrian said with a reflective tone and then glanced at Kate, a cryptic smile flickering across his face, “How about we go out for a walk tonight? I an, , Kate, and you…”

“Sorry, I want to rest,” Charlize declined the invitation without hesitation.

“I have things to deal with, too,” Kate said, leaving no room for discussion.

Adrian looked at them, sowhat surprised, and before he could speak, Kate went on, “Besides, a lot of people have things to do today, so you might as well be on your own.”

Her expression was a mix of a smirk and a veil of concealed dissatisfaction and disdain.

“Is that so?” Adrian’s gaze swept around the area, “You two seem to be getting along very nicely, reaching an agreent so quickly.”

“No need to speak; often, a single look is enough to understand each other’s intentions,” Kate shrugged, “especially when dealing with a universally detested guy.”

Many had co to attend the wedding today. Dennis and Aniston had issued many invitations, and Adrian, intent on helping make the event grander, had also invited a number of people: top executives from various film companies, the Three Giants from DreamWorks, and a whole host of actors and directors. Therefore, his won were mostly all there: Kate, Sarah, Julia, Gwyneth, Blanchett, Nicole, Naomi, Rachel, Zetajones, and so on, including Sophie who had just settled down in Los Angeles, who ca with Monica! Not to ntion Drew, Caron, Cindy, Halle, Lopez, and the others. Only Kirsten, Natalie, Britney, and Christina, the younger girls, were absent.

To be honest, when browsing the guest list, even Adrian was a bit taken aback, earning a ruthless jibe from Charlize: “Frankly, I think the word ‘stallion’ suits you quite well.”

Once he reached the wedding scene, he was imdiately swept up in greeting the won, and the spectacle of him surrounded by a bevy of diverse females made many click their tongues in wonder and envy.

How could the won be happy about this? Though each had their own sche and knew this scoundrel was a womanizer, wasn’t this a bit too much? Naturally, after the greetings, few were willing to give Adrian a good face and stayed far from him, while different cliques were clearly demarcated.

Kate, Charlize, Sarah, and Liv ford one group; Gwyneth and Blanchett ford another group; Monica and Sophie were a group, and then Julia joined because of Monica; Nicole naturally tead up with Naomi; as for Rachel and Zetajones, when they saw the other won gathering together, even without any close connection, they also involuntarily joined up temporarily.

Adrian watched all of this unfold before his eyes. Even though he had always avoided having all the won gather in the sa place—he had successfully matched several won into pairs, but he was not so arrogant as to believe all the won could get along peacefully—so situations were inevitable. At tis like this, he could only play deaf and mute, careful not to chat too much with one of them or a group.

Of course, he was also calculating which group to take away after the wedding was over, as it seed like a rare opportunity. However, to his surprise, the various cliques that seed indifferent to each other actually agreed on this matter. Kate’s words made it very clear; he could forget about touching any one of them today.

“This makes sad,” Adrian sighed, and then looked at Lily in his arms, who was curiously observing her parents and Aunt Charli, “Looks like you’re the only one who can sleep with tonight, Lily. Would you like to sleep with Daddy?”

“I would!” The little one imdiately raised her hand and shouted.

Just then, Kate coughed lightly and spoke in a gentle voice, “Lily, darling, we had an agreent.”

The little one paused, then sheepishly stuck her tongue out at her father, “Sorry, Daddy, but I promised Mommy first.”

“Hm?” Adrian blinked, puzzled, and before he could react, Kate had scooped the child up from his arms and walked away. The child being carried waved her hand apologetically to her father.

Damn, she had even anticipated this. Adrian watched Kate’s retreating figure with a bit of dejection and then glanced over at Charlize, only to find her gone as well. He shrugged helplessly and then scanned the room, noticing that several pairs of eyes that had been watching him quickly looked away.

Although so in the industry knew he had a child, not many knew who the mother was, let alone most of the guests at the wedding not knowing either of these bits of information, which led to many curious glances. Adrian wasn’t worried about this at all; the reporters, or rather paparazzi, were kept out, and the security asures were very strict. As for aerial photography, he had already spread the word that if any idiot tried it, he would not be lenient.

Besides, even if so gutsy reporter miraculously made it in and got these shots, Adrian wouldn’t mind; after all, Lily would eventually be exposed to the public, and he wouldn’t mind setting an example.

“Do you really think this will stop ? You’re terribly mistaken!” Adrian muttered to himself.

Not to ntion that he had several won who were open to a “friendly match.” Even though Britney was still living at ho, Christina was independent now, and because her album was selling well, she was trying hard to please him. On top of that, Nakama Yukie, who willingly played the role of his maid, had returned from Japan and was at his house. Even if they all united to refuse him, he would not lack for bed companions, right? But Adrian had another idea in mind.

“Good news, Lin,” Adrian said with a light chuckle, pinching her cheek, “The film has been postponed for a month, so you have more ti to train and work on your English pronunciation. I’ve arranged for targeted training for you, so don’t disappoint .”

“Of course not,” Lin Zhiling smiled even more charmingly, “I’ve been working hard on correcting myself.”

“Great, even though the lead is Dennis Knight and there are several supporting roles, your part is not insignificant. I’m looking forward to your performance,” Adrian nodded in satisfaction and then added, “I’ve heard you’ve had so trouble with your manager?”

“It’s nothing, just so minor disagreents,” Lin Zhiling replied obediently.

“I’ll have a word with her, but you should rember that having a compatible manager from your own country is more important than anything,” Adrian said from a position of authority.

“I will, I promise,” Lin Zhiling bit her lip, looking pitifully endearing.
