The sleepy look in her eyes only added to her languid beauty.
Approaching the kitchen, she pushed open the half-closed door and was about to speak when she suddenly froze. The person bustling in front of the cabinets was not the one she recognized.
“Up already? How did you sleep?” The person cracking eggs into the frying pan turned to look at the lady and asked in a bland tone. They were nearly identical in their young appearance, both wearing semi-transparent blouses and panties, with similarly beautiful, long legs and almost the sa height. The only differences were the second lady’s blonde hair and grey-green eyes.
“Not bad,” the first lady mumbled in response, “I thought it was Mrs. Galen…”

Kate carried the tray with the coffee pot and cups into the dining room, then looked around at everything with a bewildered expression. The environnt was so familiar yet so strange, it gave her an uncanny feeling.
“Sorry, I don’t know what you like to eat, so I made you the sa breakfast Ed usually has,” Charlize followed in, carrying a tray and then expertly began setting it up.
“It’s alright, I’m not picky.” Kate said, helping her with the setup.
The two won casually chatted as they laid the tableware, discussing won’s matters and laughing at the amusing parts, appearing very harmonious, until a discordant voice sounded, “What a delightful scene to wake up to in the morning. It’s truly wonderful.”
There was nobody else who spoke in such an exaggerated manner and with such pauses other than Adrian. He leaned casually against the door fra, dressed simply, smiling, and ogling the two attractive won without any inhibition.
Kate frowned slightly and was about to speak when Charlize spoke up, unapologetically, “You better start having your breakfast, Ed. We’ve got a packed schedule these coming days, and even a slight delay could… What are you staring at?!”
“Through the blouse, it seems like your bust might be slightly smaller than Kate’s,” Adrian comnted unabashedly, scrutinizing their chests.
“You’re beyond help!” Charlize rolled her eyes and walked out without looking back, dropping the comnt.
“Really now, you bla for looking, yet you dress so revealingly. I am a man, after all,” Adrian spread his arms, feigning innocence, and even turned to Kate, “Don’t you think, Kate?”
Kate sighed as she watched Adrian purposefully play this role. She said nothing and started walking out of the dining room, but as she passed by him, he embraced her from behind.
“Co on, Kate, I was just joking,” Adrian said softly, then gently kissed the top of her head. “Have breakfast before you go get dressed. I like this lazy look on you; it’s not like we haven’t done this before.”
Feeling the masculine presence behind her, Kate felt a wave of confusion, but she still moved Adrian’s hand away, “That was the past, Ed. I’m going to go upstairs and get dressed before coming down.”
With that, she, like Charlize, didn’t look back and walked out of the dining room. Heading straight back to her bedroom, Kate sat in front of the vanity for a while before she started to get ready. As she changed her clothes, she couldn’t help but glance at the bed, which, though tidied, still looked a ss from the night’s passionate activities.
“I really am…” Muttering to herself, Kate covered her forehead and sighed deeply. Since their reunion, Adrian had tried more than once to invite her back to the villa, but she had refused every ti, unable to face what was left here.
But Kate also knew that just because it was hard to face didn’t an she didn’t want to face it. It was like how at the beginning of this period, she would resist Adrian every ti, then beco half-hearted, and then start to enjoy the pleasure that she was addicted to and craved. Last night, after Adrian had taken her back to the villa without a word, even though she was very angry and unhappy, she still couldn’t resist his sweet talk and domineering presence. As a result, after Adrian had stripped her in the living room, it continued all the way to the stairs, then to the hallway, and finally into the bedroom.

“Yes,” Charlize glanced at her, “At first, I just wanted to save on rent, and the place where I stayed wasn’t very safe – a rented motel. I planned to move out after getting paid, but then Adrian wouldn’t let leave, saying it’s convenient for to stay here.” Charlize shrugged, speaking with an easygoing tone.
“So…” Kate hesitated, “Are you sleeping with him often?”
Charlize looked surprised, raising her eyebrows, “That’s unexpected. I thought you’d first find out if we’d ever slept together.”
“That doesn’t need confirming,” Kate said with a bit of a girlish pout.
“Let’s put it this way, Kate,” Charlize said as she walked downstairs, “My relationship with Ed is limited to sex, beyond work, that is. Which ans, if I have the need, I can go to him to take care of it, but of course, when he needs it, he can’t co to .”
“You… you can go to him whenever you need?” Kate followed and stuttered the question.
“Yes, because the work is too busy. He always pushes a lot of things onto to do, and I have to follow him around. Sotis he’s resting while I still can’t, so I really don’t have any extra ti to date or anything, so I just straight-up go to him to take care of my needs. I must admit, Ed is really good in bed,” Charlize maintained her casual tone, “So…”
She turned and looked at Kate with a smile, “If you really want to make a big deal out of it, it’s better to make it with them.”
Kate glared at Charlize, feeling very annoyed inside, but she didn’t know what to say.
Ed! You’re a complete bastard! She yelled in her heart, but as she walked down the stairs and turned the corner, Kate keenly noticed a hint of resentnt on Charlize’s face.
“It’s only been a few months early,” she seed to mutter at the sa ti.
Not very clear, but Kate believed she hadn’t heard wrong and couldn’t help feeling puzzled. However, now was definitely not the ti to get an answer, so after a frustrated sigh, she imdiately tossed the thought aside.
“Rember to arrive on ti, Ed, I think I don’t need to remind you of that. “I know, I’m just dropping Kate off, it won’t take too long,” Adrian said with a smile as he pulled open the car door and sat in the driver’s seat, “Don’t be so naggy, okay, Charli? You’re not even 20 yet.”
“You need to understand, the only reason I’m nagging is because of you, Ed!” Charlize said, bursting with anger.
“Okay, okay.” Adrian chuckled as he drew his head back in from the window and imdiately started the car to drive off.
“She’s a decent secretarial assistant, if not a bit too talky.” Adrian said to Kate through the rearview mirror after he saw Charlize get into Glover’s car.
Would she be any good in bed? Kate really wanted to ask that, even though she knew they had just been discussing work; but she still couldn’t shake the feeling that there was a flirtatious undertone to their conversation, and naturally, she was very dissatisfied.
But she ultimately didn’t say it, just uttered an “Oh” to let him know she heard.
Neither spoke for the rest of the trip, though Adrian tried to lighten the mood with a few jokes; however, a gloomy Kate didn’t really listen and just twitched her mouth, so he stopped.
“Thanks.” Kate said quietly, pulling the door open to get out.
“Can’t you give a kiss before you leave?” Adrian sighed.
Kate felt like pretending not to hear and continuing out of the car, needing to express her dissatisfaction, but she softened after he sighed. She turned to look at him, and before she could speak, Adrian leaned in and kissed her on the lips.
“Ed!” Kate glared at Adrian, seething yet helpless.
Gently stroking her cheek, Adrian smiled slightly, “Why don’t you co stay at the mansion, Kate?”
“No, Ed, I don’t want to.” Kate declined without a second thought.
Adrian sighed, “Then, could you at least not turn down my invitations to the mansion in the future?”
Kate opened her mouth, hesitated for a couple of seconds, and mories of Charlize suddenly flooded her mind, spurting a senseless anger, she nodded in agreent, “Okay, fine.”
“Yes!” Adrian exclaid, waving his hand enthusiastically, grinning like a child. Seeing his excitent, Kate involuntarily let out a snort of laughter, but as his gaze shifted to her, she quickly realized and rushed into her own ho.
After slamming the door shut and taking a few deep breaths to calm herself, she realized she had been tricked. Obviously, Adrian’s initial suggestion that she move back in was just a ruse; what he wanted was the second outco!
Damn it! Asshole! Kate stomped her foot in anger, but after a mont’s pause, she accepted the reality.
It’s okay, I agreed, after all, he’d have made go even if I had refused. She told herself, though what she pondered most was Charlize’s easy-going deanor. Every ti she thought of it, Kate subconsciously gritted her teeth, completely unaware that her dissatisfaction was hardly directed at Adrian.

Yet, her large eyes also flashed an almost imperceptible hint of worry.
Though Adrian noticed it, he said nothing; whatever was going on was between Dennis and Winona. Unless Dennis pleaded for his help, he would not intervene.
“Let’s settle it then, I’m sure we’ll see a unique Jo,” Adrian said, adding for emphasis: “Ms. Armstrong would agree with .”
“Thank you.” Winona expressed her gratitude genuinely, then she and Dennis stood up and left together.
Watching their intimate figures depart, Adrian let out a long sigh. Recalling the troubled look on Dennis’s face when he talked about Jennifer, he couldn’t help but laugh.
The role of the female lead in ‘Little Won’ was the favor Adrian had done for Dennis. Even without this matter, he would have invited Winona anyway, so letting Dennis tell Winona that he had recomnded her for the role was a way to boost her fondness for him, and if sothing ca up in the future, he could use it as a shield—well, the last part was said by Adrian.
He had already secured the adaptation rights for ‘Little Won.’ On one hand, he rembered Winona received an Oscar nomination for this film; on the other hand, Kirsten had gained a lot of praise for her role in the movie.
So even if this version of ‘Little Won’ was lacking in the storyline, Adrian had still secured the rights. Besides, who knew if the remake would encounter the sa issues? Throughout the entire eting with Dennis and Winona, Charlize, who had been sitting elsewhere quietly, got up, picked up her things, and walked toward the exit of the club. Adrian put on his coat and followed her out. After just a couple of steps outside the club, he couldn’t restrain his laughter again. He had just finished negotiations with Winona, and next, he was going to et her ex-boyfriend.
