Xuan Yue huffed unhappily and said to the young girl, "Then we shall be called the Angel rcenary Group, nice na, isn’t it."

The young girl looked down to check, then replied, "I’m sorry, Miss, this na is already taken. Could you please choose a different one?"

Xuan Yue was taken aback for a mont, then huffed and grumbled, "Even the na we have is a duplicate—it infuriates . It’s all your fault, getting angry so early in the day. See? Everything is just falling apart." Xuan Yue took out her anger on Ah Dai, slamming her fist down on his arm, unfortunately landing right on his wound.

Ah Dai shuddered, a sharp pain forcing a suppressed groan from his lips. Xuan Yue, shocked, beca aware of the injury on Ah Dai’s arm for the first ti. After casting a glance at Ah Dai, who was still trembling slightly, she turned to the young girl. "Then we will be called the Evil Sky rcenary Group, a combination of angels and demons." She shot an annoyed glance at Ah Dai, muttering, "Always being cold and detached, a demonic title suits you best."

Ah Dai clenched his teeth, enduring the pain in his arm. He thought to himself, uncertain of who was the real devil among them.

The young girl smiled. "Miss Mage, could I ask you to wait a mont? I will make you your respective rcenary cards imdiately. In the anti, you can take a look at the tasks at the task pick-up counter."

Xuan Yue nodded and pulled Ah Dai to one side, directing her gaze towards the large blackboard behind the task pick-up counter.

At that mont, a voice sounded from behind them. "Mage, may we have a chat?" A middle-aged man clad in red leather armor appeared behind them. His fiery-red hair was neatly combed, a wide sword resting on his back. Though it wasn’t as large as Ah Dai’s Tian Gang Sword, it was undoubtedly considered a heavy sword.

Xuan Yue’s eyes roved over him, taking in his appearance. She asked, "Talk? What’s there to discuss?"

The middle-aged man flashed a small smile and pointed to a tornado emblem on his chest, "I am the captain of the Red Hurricane rcenary Group’s first warrior squad, proposing on behalf of our Head to invite both of you to join our Mage Group. We will offer preferential treatnt."

Xuan Yue and Ah Dai both looked bewildered. Despite their ignorance, they were aware of the na of the Red Hurricane rcenary Group—an enormous rcenary force of thousands, the number one rcenary group on the continent. Its strength was sothing other rcenary corps couldn’t hope to match. The middle-aged man’s appearance, a representative of the Red Hurricane rcenary Group, made the other lesser rcenary groups step aside. No one wanted to provoke the formidable Red Hurricane rcenary Group—their reputation in the rcenary world was akin to that of the Holy Church throughout the continent.

Xuan Yue was unimpressed by their power. She retorted coldly, "Didn’t you see us registering our rcenary corps just now?"

The middle-aged man offered a small smile and replied, "That’s easy to solve. There are two thods. The first is for you to dissolve your corps. Alternatively, our Red Hurricane rcenary Group could assimilate your group. We would offer a favorable price."

Xuan Yue looked at the middle-aged man’s presumptuous deanor, felt dissatisfied, and huffed, "We are not interested in joining your rcenary group, so stop bothering us. Negotiating with mages about money, are you alright? Would we beco rcenaries for the sake of money?"

The middle-aged man looked stunned. He asked, "Then what’s your reason for becoming rcenaries?"

A sly smile crossed Xuan Yue’s face. She replied, "We beca rcenaries for the joy of adventure. It’s a pity you, a mber of the continent’s number one rcenary group, fail to understand such a simple concept."

The middle-aged man gave a small smile in response, "That’s all the more simple. Many tasks across the continent are incredibly challenging to complete, impossible for a single person or small group to handle. If you have the backing of our Red Hurricane rcenary Group, you can take on more challenging tasks. Isn’t that a better way to experience the essence of adventure?"

Upon hearing this, Xuan Yue was montarily swayed, but she quickly dismissed the idea of joining them. She thought about how her father would react if he heard that she had joined a rcenary group. Even though he doted on her, embarrassing the Church would likely result in her getting grounded. But establishing her own rcenary corps was a different matter—she hoped that it might not annoy her father too much. With that in mind, Xuan Yue shook her head and declared, "We prefer going on adventures by ourselves. I’m sorry."

Although he had been present the entire ti, Ah Dai hadn’t spoken a word. He had made a firm decision that morning—to minimise contact with Xuan Yue so as to avoid falling victim to her temper again. He was currently hoping that the year would pass quickly.

"Miss Mage, your cards are ready," the young girl who had left to make the cards had returned with two white Magic Cards in her hands.

Xuan Yue ignored the middle-aged man and, along with Ah Dai, walked up to the registration counter to collect the cards. She asked, "What’s the use of these?"

The young girl explained, "As the head of the Evil Sky rcenary Group, your card contains the details of your corps and your personal details. At present, your rcenary corps is at the lowest rank of level four. The rank will gradually increase as you complete tasks of higher difficulty and quantity. Since you are a mage, we have assigned you a rcenary rank of level three. This will also increase as you complete tasks of higher difficulty and quantity. Mister Mage’s card is similar to yours. Please take good care of your card. If it is lost, please co to the Guild to replace it as soon as possible. Please show these cards when accepting tasks. And also, here are two badges for level three rcenaries."
