"No—I can’t let Sheng Xie die," Ah Dai scread in his heart. Slowly, he pressed his right hand on Sheng Xie’s trembling body, took one last longing look at Sheng Xie, and resolved to use Goris’s Wish for the final teleportation.
The black light flashed and vanished, Sheng Xie’s massive body disappeared. Ah Dai had instantly teleported him thirty ters behind Mie and the others.
As Sheng Xie vanished, Ah Dai’s body was completely exposed under the black energy blade. Without the obstruction of Sheng Xie’s Golden Horn Energy, the black energy blade swiftly struck down, aiming right for the top of Ah Dai’s head.
A sad and bitter smile appeared on Ah Dai’s lips. By then, he couldn’t think of any way to counter the full-force attack from the eight of Mie, symbolically gathering an Energy Sword, and striking at the black energy blade. At this mont, Ah Dai, having resigned to his fate, used his last bit of spiritual power to send Sheng Xie a ssage to flee quickly.
Sheng Xie, originally contending with the intense pressure, suddenly felt his body lighten and realized he had been teleported to a different location. He clearly saw in front of him the huge black energy blade slashing toward Ah Dai and couldn’t help but panic. The golden light on its horn burst forth with all its power, bombarding the eight in the sky. However, its action was still slightly slower than the black energy blade.
Ti seed to slow down at that mont; the trajectory of the End of the World Slash was so clear. Ah Dai already felt the shadow of death as if his life was ebbing away.
"No—don’t—" A piercing scream rang out. A splendid golden divine light, faster than Ah Dai’s Energy Sword, suddenly struck the greatly weakened black energy blade. Amidst the thundering blast, Ah Dai felt his body fly lightly into the air; in that instant, he seed to feel nothing at all, except the echoes of that final shout. Ah Dai’s body crashed to the ground; he felt a jolt, darkness swelled before his eyes, and all his senses plunged into a deep sleep.
It wasn’t any easier for the eight from Mie. That splendid divine light contained imnse force, an attack power different from martial spirit, filled with Sacred Aura. It collided with their greatly diminished End of the World Slash, resulting in an enormous explosion. As their bodies were violently shaken, Sheng Xie’s attack from behind had already arrived. In the midst of the loud noise, all eight n spat blood and were flung away. Mie felt clearly that a powerful enemy was charging at them. At that critical mont, with all eight of them seriously injured, Mie did not hesitate and shouted, "Retreat."
The eight figures vanished into the Illusive Forest within a few movents, leaving behind only so bright red bloodstains.
Sheng Xie did not bother to pursue the enemy; it was only worried about Ah Dai. With a beat of its enormous dragon wings, in a wail, it flew toward Ah Dai.
A white figure reached Ah Dai before Sheng Xie, at an even faster speed. An overwhelming Sacred Aura instantly enveloped Ah Dai’s body. The tily arrival that saved Ah Dai’s life was none other than Xuan Yue, who had left the church a month ago in search of Ah Dai.
After leaving the church, eager to find Ah Dai, Xuan Yue forgot the Pope’s instructions and took the wrong direction. It wasn’t until two days later that she realized her mistake and found information related to Phoenix’s Blood and Dragon’s Blood from the scriptures given to her by the Pope. It was then, with the resonance between the two Divine Artifacts, that she found her way to the Empire of Tian Jing. When she arrived outside the Illusive Forest, she imdiately rembered Ah Dai once saying that his teacher lived here, and joy filled her heart. She knew for certain that Ah Dai must be here.
