Author: Will be temporarily reducing updates to twice a week this month—only this month (May 2024) I promise! I’m sorry, but I overestimated myself. I couldn’t handle three stories at once, two of which are uploading daily at the mont (I have two accounts).
On the bright side, because I would have more ti to flesh out the ending, I will be able to post EVERY DAY in June!
Cheer up, ne? I want the story to go out with a BANG!

________
The remaining supernatural zombies were handled by Khalifa’s team, most of whom with the soldiers and newly awakened supernaturalists.
For instance, there was Kylo versus the Earth zombie. He held it back while the soldiers cleared up the area, rescuing as many civilians as they could.
BANG!
Kylo raised his arms as a rock ca barrelling towards him. He caught it but he was pushed back by the montum. He took advantage of the inertia and turned, throwing it back to the zombie.
Roar!
It swiped it away easily, but he didn’t notice that Kylo had already jumped up above him, body completely covered with electric current.
Zap!!!
Zombies were not made of rock and therefore could still be damaged by strong voltage.
The zombie fell, and he didn’t take a breather, proceeding on clearing up the nearby zombies as well.
Nearby, soldiers shot and killed the nearby zombies along with Kylo, but there were simply too few of them in the area. There were too many civilians and even more zombies.
it was inevitable to be unable to save everyone.
People understood this, so when a small group of people were surrounded by zombies, even if they cried for help, deep in their hearts they didn’t expect help to co.
"Watch out!" a person yelled, gasping as she tried to cover herself with a small tal surface she got from a cabinet.
The man simply covered his daughter with his own body, trying to shield her from an oncoming attack.
Bang!
Bang!
They saw a small opening amongst the small mob and ran towards it. A few couldn’t help but look up at the direction of the shot as they ran.
They looked up to see a white haired man above the roof, shooting a long-ranged plasma gun.
Sigmund was actually a good shot. No one expected it, thinking he was a scientist who hid in the lab. They gave him a gun to defend himself and they eventually realized that as long as the zombies were at a sufficient distance—and therefore unlikely to attack him—he would hit it.
So Khalifa handed him a new model of Plasma gun Hugo gave to her. It had a longer recharge ti so it wasn’t as useful in fast-paced close-range fights they had been in so far. Most of them could handle close range anyway, so it was left in her space until recently.
Now that they had soone who could beco their sniper (and wasn’t particularly useful close range) they naturally gave it to him.
Sigmund’s eyebrows rose when she handed him such a large gun, no doubt wondering where she had been keeping it, but he didn’t say nor ask anything in the end, simply went with Kylo to get to a good vantage point.
A bit more passed and the zombies cleared but by bit. The humans had soon gained the winning montum, and those who had awakened slowly getting used to their new abilities.
The new Supernaturalist also obtained valuable guidance from the experts while they fought, soon getting the hang of it.
Finally, those who were bitten were also isolated from each other when they could, in hopes to save a few more people.
Although it naturally led to so conflicts, the soldiers had enough power to keep even more chaos from exploding.
Together, they cald the situation in a little over an hour.
This was in sharp contrast with the situation of the inner circle.
Within the interior wall, it was chaos, people killing people, and so even led by soldiers they trusted.
Everyone was fighting for their own lives, and it didn’t matter who they stepped on in the process.
Because the outside was the one handled by Khalifa’s team, the others had to deal with the people and zombies that entered the properties and the interior walls.
Further, because there was barely any coordination and teamwork, one team dealing with a mob would an another would suffer. So people even shot at fellow humans, just so they could serve as shields.
There were also plenty of teammates getting abandoned at this ti. For example, a certain forr popstar’s sister.
"Please, please don’t leave !" Suli yelled, holding on to the general. "Please Please!!"
She didn’t want to die!!
The general frowned and raised his legs, kicking her. His facial expression didn’t show much except annoyance.
Fortunately for her, he was an old man who didn’t have a lot of physical strength left.
"Throw her out."
"Nononono!" Suli yelled. But her noise seed to have attracted a few zombies and she paled.
"Kyaa!" She yelled running in another direction, hoping for the best.
Smith ignored her and looked at his n, "Get the healer!" He yelled, making Claire flinch.
Claire was pulled by the arm and she fought, trying to get back to the patient. "Take Chris with us!"
"We don’t have ti."
"Nonono, Chris!!!" she yelled, crying, pulling the unconscious man, hoping he woke up.
Annoyed, the man raised his arms.
"No, please, Chr—"
Claire was hit at the back of her neck, making her lose consciousness. The man then proceeded on carrying her like a sack to serve the general.
Her teardrops fell to the floor, but none of the n cared for it.
The general and his cronies left in a hurry, the loud bang of the door resounded in the house.
There was silence for a while in the room, as if there was no life that remained.
That was, until, the patient’s finger moved, and a beautiful pair of auburn eyes fluttered opened.
"Claire…"
