Capítulo 2253: Chapter 2253: Cooperation Rules

Xu Huo did not comfort Shi ng, whose nerves were stretched to the limit. Instead, Qiao Jieping gently patted his shoulder, “Don’t be so tense.”

Shi ng wasn’t comforted, and let out a bitter smile, “You don’t understand the feeling of forgetting everything after coming out. I’m afraid next ti I’ll even forget how to talk or eat… or maybe I won’t even have a chance to co out next ti.”

His voice was sowhat agitated as he spoke, and then he looked at Xu Huo and the others, his expression excited, as if he wanted to say sothing, but after glancing around, he didn’t speak again.

Everyone present understood what he ant, but the progress of clearing the ga concerned each person’s survival. They couldn’t generously send all the captured people his way to clear the ga.

Seeing this, Shi ng’s expression turned gloomy, and he said nothing more as he left the room.

“We still have to be cautious.” Zhu Xiaojin, who was at the back, used a Silencing Prop before speaking to Xu Huo, “If he acts recklessly, all our work in the past few days will be for nothing.”

There was no need for him to say it; other players were also keeping an eye on Shi ng.

As expected, in the middle of the night, Shi ng quietly got up, scanned his surroundings, and then headed straight across.

Xu Huo and the others imdiately approached to check, only to find that he had left an Explosive Prop in place.

“Damn it!” They realized it was too late to move the prop, and seeing that their hiding place was about to be blown up, Zhu Xiaojin and the others unhesitatingly moved across the street, while Xu Huo reduced the range of the Defense Prop and then retrieved the “Pleasant Journey,” instantly transferring himself a kiloter away.

The explosion this ti was nearly as powerful as a “Little Mushroom Cloud,” but because nurous players had released barriers to block so of the impact, it did not flatten the nearby streets and buildings. However, the Law Enforcent Building from before was entirely gone, leaving only a huge crater on the ground, and temporary worker players just ten ters away were forced to relocate during the explosion. Even though they reacted quickly enough, so were still pushed beyond the buildings.

Going out at night is one way to trigger a third of the ga, which made the players who had been carefully avoiding the ga furious, and they turned against Zhu Xiaojin and the others.

Zhu Xiaojin and his group were not in a great situation either; Tang Yu, who ran slowly, was seriously injured. She furiously looked at the back of Shi ng as he fled, “You won’t clear the ga today, even if you kill us all!”

Shi ng suddenly realized sothing and paused in his escape, only to be caught up at that mont. Faced with the anger of Zhu Xiaojin and others, he instead let out a cold laugh, “Who doesn’t want to live? It’s all about one’s abilities. I failed today because I’m not as skilled as you, but how much better off do you think you are? Do you think Xu will give up the wanted criminals in the end?”

“All are Rank-B players… even if Rank-A players were here, they wouldn’t be his opponents. With dual Super Evolution in ntal and spatial abilities, who among you could get an advantage over him!”

The cooperation to clear the ga through the Municipal Governnt channel was the basis for player collaboration, but breaking this cooperation was actually easy. Players couldn’t trust each other, and there would always be dissatisfaction in effort and distribution, leading to inevitable disintegration. Xu Huo controlled the application authority of 8 areas; he was the most advantaged and the strongest, capable of monopolizing the benefits.

“He’s already outgrown ordinary Rank-B players. Don’t you wonder how many people he has to kill to clear the ga?”

Although the number of people for each person to clear the ga is different, after being inside for a long ti, one can more or less sense that the number of tasks and initially unlocked areas are linked to personal strength. Xu Huo never disclosed his clearing tasks.

“Cooperating with anyone is still cooperation, right?” Shi ng continued to provoke others, “We can totally pool our resources and apply for a Temporary Enforcent Officer.”

“Ha!” Zhu Xiaojin sneered, “You’ve been with us the whole ti; don’t tell

you don’t know how much it costs to apply for a Temporary Enforcent Officer. Even if the money could be pooled, who would take this role — would it be you, who just tried to kill everyone?”

So temporary workers were tempted and couldn’t help but ask, “How much would it cost?”

Zhu Xiaojin rolled his eyes, “Don’t even think about it without tens of millions in cash, and the Municipal Governnt doesn’t accept cash.”

“Sorry, we’re all broke,” Qiao Jieping said nonchalantly, “Even if we had those millions, we wouldn’t give them away to the Municipal Governnt.”

There was no way to run, and the spatial artifacts interfered with each other, rendering teleportation props ineffective. Just as Shi ng was about to fight a bloody battle with everyone, he was suddenly sliced in half from the head down by sothing like a black line.

As the body fell to the ground, the nearby players all turned to look at the source of the power.

Xu Huo stood in a precariously leaning building nearby, overlooking everyone, “Shi ng makes a valid point. Anyone uneasy about working with

can leave now. Next ti, if soone who stays behind does sothing like this again, I won’t be so kind in sending them off.”

His calm tone and serene expression didn’t convey any threat to the twenty or so Rank-B players present, but the pervasive ntal pressure stimulated each person’s nerves.

“To show your sincerity, can you reveal your quota to clear the ga?” a player asked.

“It’s better for you not to know.” With that, Xu Huo further clarified the distribution of the wanted criminals, “From the criminals you submit, I’ll take one-fifth as the fee for using the channel.”

This wasn’t too harsh since they didn’t have to bleed to go through the Municipal Governnt’s channels.

The question was whether Xu Huo would keep his promise.

“Other than the handed-over criminals, you’ll handle the rest yourselves,” much like the temporary workers scattered in other districts.

Shi ng had a point, Xu Huo’s strength posed a threat to them, but at the sa ti, it was a guarantee. As long as he didn’t cause troubles, other players could search for wanted criminals in a relatively good environnt, and at least the incidents of players attacking each other decreased significantly with the recording devices in place.

“I have no problem with it.” Zhu Xiaojin was the first to agree. Due to ga rule restrictions, Xu Huo didn’t dare to kill innocent people randomly, which was a layer of protection for any player, even those who were lingering.

In the end, everyone present decided to cooperate, but surprisingly, the next mont, Xu Huo disappeared from the building!

“Did he leave… or enter the ga?” Tang Yu speculatively asked.

“Probably entered the ga,” Zhu Xiaojin wasn’t sure either but added, “Luckily, we did a video backup earlier. If he cos out and loses his mory, wouldn’t that an everyone we gathered would be all for him?”

“No, didn’t he take the people locked in the room with him?” Tang Yu asked, “Can he co back out?”
