Chapter 2024: Chapter 2024: Surviving Is Enough

Zone 011 was as usual, with no significant changes. Xu Huo took a drive around the city before returning to Rose Castle. Upon arrival, he noticed so changes to the castle’s arrangents and asked Mr. Dong, "Are there guests?"

Mr. Dong nodded slightly, "Recently, there have been more visitors. I’ll organize the list and place it on the desk later."

"Has there been anything significant in Zone 011 recently?" Xu Huo paused, then added, "Any special news from Lady Lily’s side."

Before he left last ti, he accidentally stumbled into what seed to be a training ground for Super Players in Zone 011. He progressed one step further in Temporal Evolution. Although he didn’t attract attention at the ti, several noble offspring from Zone 011 were also trapped inside. Regardless of their fate, it’s certain that Zone 011 is aware by now. It was a special ti field, uncertain whether it has the ability to record past events. Even if one changes appearance, there’s no guarantee of complete safety. He didn’t return to Rose Castle after coming out; instead, he went directly to the Eye of Platinum for this reason.

Ignoring the Girl in the painting peeking on the second floor, Xu Huo continued asking about the visitors.

"Your reputation among the Nobles has been quite good lately, many co drawn by your fa," Mr. Dong said rather obliquely. In reality, he’s been playing the role of Money Scatterer, spending money is tricky. If it’s just to buy fa, Nobles generally look down on it. Yet, if the money is spent to a degree that pains a typical Noble, this disdain tends to rebound, combined with Xu Huo’s frequent travels and absence from Zone 011, rarely attending banquets while his wallet never deflates, thus the public opinion starts to shift.

Xu Huo nodded and seriously asked about the Super Players in Zone 011.

Mr. Dong had certain information channels, but due to the identity of the castle’s owner, he was also restricted, thus unclear about the whereabouts of the Super Players. He only shared another piece of news, "Many core mbers of the Nobles have been active recently, unclear if it relates to the Super Players."

Generally, less significant activities of the Nobles are attended by people who represent the family’s face. These individuals are usually not the most important mbers of the family but have the identity or lineage to represent it. Those truly powerful, like the family leader or powerful Players, tend not to attend events without major significance frequently. Serious matters are naturally discussed in appropriate circumstances. If core mbers of the family are acting, it signifies a relatively important upward move, sothing not formal enough for a prominent venue yet needing more than being represented by honorary mbers.

"The Super Player might have returned." Thinking of the fortune-teller player’s previous words, Xu Huo didn’t continue to inquire about this but inford Mr. Dong that he needed rest and instructed not to let the Girl in the painting disturb him.

The Girl in the painting, pretending to be angry, was actually hiding on the stairs. Hearing this, she quickly rushed out, "You said you’d take

out to play last ti!"

"Last ti I left in a hurry, this ti I’ll definitely take you along." Xu Huo reassured her with a smile, rubbed his temples, "I have a headache."

The Girl in the painting, although still a bit upset and unable to comprehend ailnt, learned not to bother soone who’s unwell, thus stepped aside from the stairs and said, "If you want dicine, be sure to call , I have lots of it."

"Thank you." Xu Huo returned to his room, and before entering, advised, "Play in the castle, don’t wander around."

Once the door closed, the Girl in the painting squatted outside for a while, resisted the urge to turn into paper to sneak in, then turned to find Mr. Dong.

Mr. Dong had already gone to the kitchen to prepare food for Xu Huo.

"Why is what he eats different from mine?" The Girl in the painting felt her food was already carefully selected, definitely the best.

"Mr. Xu is a Super Evolver, he is suited to eat things that boost the brain," Mr. Dong explained.

The Girl in the painting had no concept of it, "Does the brain use itself up? Eating can replenish it?"

"Technically, no." Mr. Dong interrupted her eager experint, "This is rely to provide comfort to the patient and those who care for them."

The Girl in the painting suddenly widened her imagination, "Are you saying he’s stupid?"

"Absolutely not." Mr. Dong handed the ingredients to the chef, wore a fake yet perfect smile as he ushered the Girl in the dining room.

The Girl in the painting turned to find Dr. Deng.

Dr. Deng, after fully equipped leaving the lab, was about to rest when he saw her and instinctively headed back. The Girl in the painting quickly blocked him, used the Communicator to type, "Xu Huo is sick, make him dicine."

Dr. Deng snorted, "Is he lacking any potion?"

The Girl in the painting pressed his shoulder, leaned close to the face shield, stared into his eyes, and earnestly expressed with the Communicator raised, "He’s ill, in great discomfort. Only if he gets better can I go out to play with him, make him dicine. If you don’t, I’ll put you in the mixer, grind you into mush."

Knowing her character after so long, Dr. Deng’s facial muscles twitched a little, "Understood, I’ll go right away."

The Girl in the painting finally let go satisfactorily, then confird the ti to pick up the dicine and jumped off to the garden to pick flowers.

Seeing his painstakingly cultivated flowers being plucked and tossed around, Dr. Deng ignored the sight and returned to the lab, stirring up several bottles of potion.

Thus, by evening, after resting for five hours, Xu Huo went downstairs and saw a full table of fresh flowers with Dr. Deng sitting by the table, looking rather vexed with potions.

"Got nothing better to do?" he first asked.

Dr. Deng grinned insincerely, "You all sure know how to keep people busy, if you started a company, you might dominate the gas."

The Girl in the painting already ran over and narrated the backstory, additionally saying, "You must get better soon, so you can take

out to play sooner."

Xu Huo glanced at the potion in front of Dr. Deng, "Not poisonous, right?"

Dr. Deng, still morally sound, remarked, "You’re the boss. I’m not insane to that extent."

Xu Huo set the potion aside, then spoke of his experience on the train, asking if such evolved species genuinely existed.

Dr. Deng imdiately grasped his aning, saying, "In the ga world, there are many unknowns for Players, no need to get to the bottom every ti. Moreover, such things don’t occur often. If encountered and survived, consider it luck."

Xu Huo awaited more information.

Dr. Deng, unable to leave without a satisfactory explanation, continued: "I’ve heard about such experints, sotis on tracks, sotis in zones, all to comprehensively capture experintal data. Sotis specific Players are targeted, appearing in instances is possible... These are not fixed occurrences, rare events with zero probability of repeating the sa situation, understanding more serves no purpose."
