Chapter 2021: Chapter 2021: Suicide

The night beca even more torturous, especially after discovering Xu Huo’s unstable ntal state. The players in car ten were initially deliberately isolated, but now to guard against car eleven, players in the previous cars didn’t allow car ten to close its door, and also placed a few people in car ten to monitor Xu Huo as well as the other players there.

The players in car ten were originally marginalized, and now they were being targeted because of Xu Huo, their faces looking quite unpleasant.

Outnumbered, no one cared about their attitude.

Perhaps due to everyone’s excessive focus on car eleven, by midnight, a player in car three died silently.

The body was discovered so ti after death by a player preparing to change shifts. The cause of death was the sa as previous victims—a small tear in the back of the protective suit, water inside the clothes, and signs of drowning.

However, this ti the windows in car three were intact, the sealed areas in cars two and seven were undisturbed, and there were no water marks on the ground, as if this player had drowned in suddenly appearing water.

"Should we conduct another autopsy?" soone suggested.

"It’s probably the sa," said White Suit. "Otherwise, where would the water co from to drown soone inside the train?"

"Drip! Drip!" Suddenly, the sound of water could be heard outside the carriage. Everyone’s expressions changed as they hurriedly opened the window to look outside.

It was raining.

The Alien lurking near the train was related to water, and now it was raining again at such a coincidental ti.

"Looks like they really don’t intend to let us live," a burly player said to the group. "Rather than sitting here waiting to die, why not take the initiative? Who’s willing to co out with ?"

"Haven’t you watched movies?" High Ponytail said, "Usually, those who separate from the group or take the initiative are the first to die."

The burly player laughed heartily, "If I’m destined to die, I don’t want to die embarrassingly. Who dares to go?"

In fact, there were players who were already impatient inside the carriage. Three people stepped out confidently, saying, "Any species’ evolution has its weaknesses. Since this Alien hasn’t shown itself yet, it ans its physical abilities have degenerated when it evolved ntal interference. Shouldn’t we take control in this situation?"

"Why don’t we wait until the rain stops?" soone else suggested. "There’s no need to specially go out when it’s raining."

This suggestion received nods of agreent from the burly player and others, so they waited for the rain to stop.

But the rain near the tracks couldn’t be gauged by common sense; a light drizzle one second could beco a torrential downpour the next, and the rain’s intensity could decline just as suddenly.

After a few repetitions, the burly player estimated the rain cessation ti and, with three players, exited the train.

They first circled around the engine to inspect both sides of the train. Not finding any more signs of damage, they then attempted to explore the sides of the tracks.

Though there was greenery on both sides, it wasn’t very lush, and standing outside, they could use a prop to check if anything was hidden inside.

Unfortunately, they trampled through all the bushes nearby and still found nothing.

After a few more minutes, the burly player thought it was about ti the rain would stop and called the others to prepare to return to the carriage.

Just as they approached the door left open on the train, rain suddenly poured down again, and the protective suits of the two players trailing behind were soaked. When boarding the train, they had to change out of the wet suits in the transition car before entering other cars.

The protective suits were thrown out again. For safety, they even had a robot clean up the floor. Not even a towel was left behind.

Though they gained no results this ti, it proved to the players that the outside of the train wasn’t as dangerous as imagined. Even if there was really an Alien, judging by the rate it killed or entangled one or two people at a ti, it wouldn’t have a large number, nor would reproducing be easy.

Therefore, with the first batch of people venturing out, soon there was a second batch, who would step out during rain breaks and return before the next downpour, allowing everyone to take turns leaving the train for so fresh air.

However, with more people going out, so inevitably failed to return on ti. The remaining players didn’t mind; when the rain started they would shut the door without waiting for others.

The first two players left outside were initially a bit flustered, but as ti passed without any anomalies occurring, they even set up their props for resting beside the tracks. Soone leading the way made the others no longer as rigorous; the train space was limited, unable to accommodate larger props. For players, it might be safer inside their own props.

Watching the number of people stranded outside gradually increase, those in car ten were amazed.

"In such a short ti, they’ve all beco unafraid?"

"Do you think they’re stupid?" Red Scarf said. "Everyone’s trapped on the train, who knows, it might make us targets for the Alien’s attacks. Using a prop in the train is also cumberso; it’s more convenient in their own props, which are also sturdier. If it doesn’t work out, they can always return to the train."

The heavy rain continued on and off, persisting until the morning of the third day, at which point everyone gave up searching further and rested. However, the first player who fell asleep suddenly woke up after less than twenty minutes in a frenzy, slashing a wall with a knife before realizing they were inside their prop.

Soon, the second and third individuals were startled awake.

They walked out of their props, looking around to find others all around them, guessing everyone’s situation was similar.

"Whoosh!" The rain suddenly intensified, stopping half a minute later; during this ti, so were outside while others had returned to their props.

By noon, players outside the train began gathering to cook so hot soup, with three players missing. When White Suit sent soone to check, upon touching their props, found them to be ownerless relics; upon retrieving them, bodies fell out.

Three more people had died, again from drowning.

Witnessing the scene, players imdiately gathered their props and rushed back to the train. With the rain changing frequently and many players outside, it was difficult to have them all change clothes; those on the train couldn’t lock them all in the transition car, so two more cars were vacated to keep a distance from them.

Now, besides cars eleven and ten, the empty cars seven and two, cars three and four were also separated.

But boarding didn’t guarantee safety. Within less than an hour, a player suddenly went mad, ignoring any words, attacking surrounding players in a frenzy before drawing a dagger and slitting their own throat!
