Chapter 1541: Chapter 1542: Your Standards for Good People Are Too Gao

“If you are truly valuable to those conducting the experint, it doesn’t matter to them whether you fall into their hands or die—either way, they suffer no loss.”

Xu Huo paused and then said, “A few hours ago, soone tracked these chips to .”

ng Cun had yet to react, but next to him, Jin Zi’s face suddenly changed, and she imdiately reached for the prop she had prepared.

But at such close range, how could Xu Huo possibly let her take out the prop? With a flick of his finger, he sealed her within a spatial barrier.

“It’s only a matter of ti before they find us again,” ng Cun sat up, and the wire hanging from his head wobbled with the movent. “Where do you plan to take ?”

“Another district,” Xu Huo pointed to his head, “I have a doctor friend who’s deeply researching Evolution Potions, maybe he can help you resolve this problem. You don’t have to enter the instance while being treated.”

“Do you have the ans to get a Grey Player identity?” ng Cun asked tentatively.

“Grey Player is impossible,” Xu Huo himself couldn’t get one, “but suspending player identity should be doable.”

The suspension of player identity can be applied for by the district governnt, with relatively lenient terms. He has an identity in Zone 011, so it shouldn’t be hard with so money.

“Don’t trust him!” Jin Zi said anxiously, “Who knows what he might do to you! What if he’s in cahoots with those who let the Aliens in? They might use you as a test subject!”

ng Cun turned his head to look at her, “You should have thought of this before bringing him here.”

From Jin Zi’s perspective, the reason she could tell Xu Huo all about ng Cun’s situation without reservation was, firstly, because she judged Xu Huo wouldn’t be interested in ng Cun the person. Even though he’s smart and brainy, it’s not a path players could copy. On the contrary, rely seeing ng Cun, most players would lose interest—he had been abandoned by the nation like this, a person nearing death, no matter how smart, so what?

Unable to gain practical benefits from ng Cun, of course, the Rank A Prop she promised was more enticing.

To save ng Cun, Jin Zi was willing to take this risk. Naturally, she assud to an independent player like Xu Huo, a prop must be the first choice. Who knew he wouldn’t play by the rules!

Interest in the dying state of ng Cun exceeded that of the Rank A Prop; who else could it be but those who released the Aliens? Would an ordinary Rank-C Player care about these?

ng Cun’s attitude left her speechless; taking a deep breath, she said, “It’s my oversight, but you absolutely shouldn’t trust him. He only talks nicely; only by going to the Capital City and having the elite players there escort you to other districts will it work!”

ng Cun couldn’t enter the ga alone; his condition is dangerous in any district unless constantly under soone else’s protection.

“Don’t you realize?” Compared to Jin Zi’s agitation, ng Cun was very calm, “When you brought a player, we no longer had a choice, and following him is the best plan.”

If the governnt were willing to arrange elite players to escort him to other districts, it wouldn’t have waited until now. He would have been abandoned long ago, and even going to the Capital City, he probably wouldn’t be on the evacuation list.

Xu Huo offering to take him to another district for treatnt was already an unexpected delight.

“It’s good you didn’t find a Rank-B or Rank-A player.” At this point, ng Cun smiled lightly at Jin Zi, “If the player level you found was any higher, by now you wouldn’t be here to see , but would already be held hostage in the Capital City.”

The implication was that only Rank-C players would be considerate of players from other outer districts of the Capital. If you found a powerful Rank-B or Rank-A player, who had the capital to rival others, Jin Zi’s self-exposing identity would have left no room for choice.

Jin Zi’s expression was of distress, disheartened with District 017 and her situation, and sympathy and pity for her friend.

“You might consider the issue from another angle,” Xu Huo broke the lancholic mood, “perhaps the current situation is due to good luck, coincidentally eting a good person.”

Jin Zi didn’t know what expression to make for a mont, holding back sobs, she said, “If you are a good person, why don’t you save those innocent people being killed right in front of you?”

“You have too high an expectation of good people.” Xu Huo stood up and walked to the bedside, took out the chip from the terminal device, and added, “Next ti you et a saint, you can ask that.”

Just as his words fell, a powerful and sharp force surged within the range covered by the “Cubic Space”. Realizing the situation, he quickly enveloped ng Cun and Jin Zi into the “staff dormitory”, then used the “End-to-End Ring” to escape Safe Zone AS9.

These two actions were almost completed simultaneously, so in the blink of an eye, Xu Huo traversed to the next city, a small safe zone adjacent to AS9.

Before his feet touched the ground, a massive explosion of flas surged toward him from the front, and with his view completely obstructed, a series of explosion sounds followed one after another around him!

The Defense Prop could protect his body but couldn’t prevent him from being blown away by the blast wave. The city, engulfed by the massive explosion, left no other objects in sight. Xu Huo, blown in a direction where flas erupted twice in succession, was swept up by the overwhelming flas from behind… In midair, he adjusted his posture slightly, and the next mont, he vanished between the crevices of the explosion flas and the blast wave.

It took travelling through five cities before Xu Huo stopped, however, the four players who had disappeared all the while continued to trail behind him, as if they could capture the track of the Transmission Device, following him with unerring precision upon arrival in these cities. They made no move to reclaim the chip, still maintaining the sa consistent distance as before.

Xu Huo’s current destination was the city controlled by Dou Shengnan of the Guile Sound Knights, but he was trapped in Dagang City before reaching his goal, and the Spatial Transmission Device malfunctioned.

This wasn’t the worst part, because while his Spatial Transmission Device couldn’t be used, the four pursuing individuals remained under spatial power protection.

Though it was already suspected they might co from an Advanced Wormhole Site, if even an area covered by a Rank A Prop couldn’t interfere with them, the power disparity was too great. A hypnotic Rank-A player might not restrain them, but unfortunately, Lawrence Lee’s whereabouts were unknown…

Before Xu Huo could decide which direction to go, filant-like spatial rays suddenly descended from the sky, gradually covering the whole city piece by piece—unlike the spatial rays he understood, these rays differed, appearing in multicolor slices made up of tiny diamond-shaped particles. With differing angles, colors altered as well. At first glance, they appeared like five-colored silken threads hung in the sky, but any point where the “threads” connected was covered by spatial power, leaving a profusion of dazzling “patches” within the city!
