The night outside was so beautiful that it made him stand up involuntarily, walk to the window, and gaze into the distance. The houses in the domain were neatly arranged. At this ti, everyone in the city had already fallen into a deep slumber, and all was quiet, with only a few dim lights in the streets to illuminate the path and provide lighting for the night patrol soldiers.

What a harmonious and peaceful scene it was. Arthur couldn't help but stretch out his arms and close his eyes to feel the long-missed tranquility. Every ti he saw such a sight, a sense of pride welled up deep inside him. This was his own domain, the result of his struggles.

By the table, the Sword in the Stone leaned against the wall, quietly glowing and illuminating the entire room. Arthur smiled knowingly and returned to his workstation, imrsing himself in his intricate work.

Just then, an overwhelming wave of tiredness hit him. The tiredness was so powerful that not even Arthur's willpower could overco it. He closed his eyes involuntarily and fell into a deep slumber.

When Arthur opened his eyes again, he found himself in a strange environnt. The black earth was filled with a disconcerting aura, and in the gloomy sky, there was no trace of the sun. Arthur instinctively touched the treasured sword in his hand and found that the Sword in the Stone was still clutched in his grip.

This cald his sowhat panicked heart, and he curiously surveyed his surroundings. There were strange plants growing on this black earth, but they looked very young; it was clear that these plants had just been born.

Arthur slowly walked in this world, not knowing why he had awoken in such a place, but now he was confident enough to face any changes.

Before long, creatures of death appeared on the ground. They were made of white skeletons, with flas of the undead burning in their eye sockets, and their bodies were filled with hatred for the living and the purest desire to kill.

As soon as they saw Arthur, these creatures attacked him like mad, completely disregarding their fragile bodies.

The treasured sword in his hand rose lightly. To Arthur, these creatures of death were nothing more than ants. The Sword in the Stone swept through them lightly, cutting the creatures in half, and the sword's power directly obliterated their fractured souls.

Upon starting the battle, Arthur was like a lion charging into a flock of sheep, continually slaughtering the creatures of death around him. In no ti, pale skeletal fragnts surrounded him, making him look like a Demon God.

"But Lord Arthur!" a cry ca from not far off.

Arthur sheathed the treasured sword and, following the sound, saw a very old man. He carefully examined the man's face and found it familiar but couldn't rember where he had seen him before.

"Perhaps you have forgotten, my lord. So ti ago, you saw in the city and took pity on ; you gave food," the old man said with a smile.

Arthur then rembered that this old man was indeed one of his subjects, lonely and destitute, living day to day by begging. Out of pity, he had given him food and even arranged for him a job cleaning the city's rubbish as a form of support. Sadly, the poor man had died of illness a few days earlier, which Arthur had deeply regretted.

"Aren't you dead?" Arthur asked in surprise, recalling that the old man before him had clearly passed away; he had even attended his funeral.

The elderly man smiled and nodded: "You're not wrong, my lord. This old fellow died many days ago."

"Could it be that I'm dead too?" Arthur asked sowhat incredulously. He began to mobilize the power within his body but found it to be futile, as if he had already lost connection with his body.

A wave of intense fear enveloped him, and he realized for the first ti how vulnerable he felt in the face of death. Lifting his Treasured Sword, it instantly radiated a brilliant light, but Arthur still couldn't sense his own body—it was as if a mysterious force had separated his body from his soul.

"Do not panic, sir. You are not dead. Perhaps you can't feel it yourself, but when I stand beside you, I can clearly sense the vitality within your soul. This indicates that you have rely undergone soul separation and have co here, not death," the old man explained thoroughly, sharing all of his knowledge and thoughts.

Arthur breathed a sigh of relief and curiously asked, "What exactly is this place, and why have I never heard of it before?"

Even the Sword in the Stone contained no information about this mysterious place, which piqued Arthur's curiosity and also made him worry about how he would be able to leave.

"Old man, do you know how I can leave this world? There are many matters in my domain that await my attention, and I cannot afford to waste ti here," Arthur asked softly.

The old man, however, answered, "I don't know how to leave this place either, for I haven't been in this land for long and only know it is called the Netherworld, the final destination for all beings after death. However, I am aware that there is a Grim Reaper in this world, the ruler of this realm. Perhaps finding him would show you how to leave."

This was all the information the old man had. Given his short ti in the Netherworld, he had learned little, but for Arthur, this was enough. He needed to make his way to this Grim Reaper to see about leaving this world, as there were still many tasks awaiting him.

Guided by the old man, Arthur set off in the direction where Lu Yu was. Along the way, he saw countless dead creatures and Lost Souls residing in the land—people not much different from those of the Mortal World. It seed they had grown accustod to life among the living, retaining the habits from their previous existence and adding vibrancy to this desolate realm.

Arthur couldn't tell how long he had walked when a magnificent city appeared before him. For so reason, the sight of the city evoked an indescribable familiarity; he felt as if he'd seen it before, yet his mory yielded no recollection of the place.

"This is the City of the Undead, where only the powerful among the Lost Souls have the chance to dwell within these walls. The great God of Death resides here, but my powers are too weak to accompany you any further," the old man said breathlessly, the closer they got to the city, the more pressure he felt. He had persevered to this point solely out of a desire to repay a debt of gratitude.

Gazing at the eerily familiar city, Arthur's brow furrowed. He could feel a heavy pressure weighing on his shoulders like a mountain, but fortunately, his strength was imnse, and such pressure posed little problem for him.

Clutching the Sword in the Stone, the ever-brilliant Treasured Sword gave him the confidence and courage to continue. Nodding gently to thank the old man for his guidance, Arthur took a deep breath to calm his anxious heart and stepped forward to push open the city gates.

The expansive streets ca into view, and the city seed unusually empty, not a soul in sight. Arthur tread carefully on the broad avenues, curiously surveying his surroundings, feeling that sothing within the city was strangely familiar yet impossible to pinpoint.

The Divine Spirit's residence was in the very center of the city, marked by a towering structure. A powerful and profound aura burst forth from the building, sweeping through the surroundings. The imnse pressure Arthur felt originated from there—the majestic presence of the Divine Spirit. Clearly, the Grim Reaper the old man spoke of should be within that structure.

Arthur, holding the Treasured Sword, slowly approached the Grim Reaper's building. As he reached the grand hall, the firmly shut doors creaked open as though soone had opened them in anticipation of his arrival.

The Treasured Sword shone with dazzling light as Arthur's mind focused sharply. He had no idea what attitude the Grim Reaper inside would take towards him, and he felt entirely uncertain.
