The little girl was crying her heart out in the forest, as if trying to vent all the fear and sadness within her.

Lu Yu stood by her side, quietly accompanying the ceaselessly weeping girl, as moonlight draped over them, casting dark shadows on the ground that seed so harmonious.

After an unknown period, Cui Cui finally erged from her sorrowful state, wiped her sowhat swollen eyes, and quickly looked around, searching for Lu Yu.

Sure enough, not far away, she spotted the handso young man holding a small treasured sword and carving sothing on a piece of wood.

Moved by curiosity, Cui Cui approached and then realized that the young man in the green robe was carving a wooden plaque, which bore a single character. She had heard the literate uncle next door ntion this character before, the character was "human."

Lu Yu, sensing Cui Cui's approach, finished his last stroke and looked at the curious-faced Cui Cui, saying, "Cui Cui, I have a task for you. Can you do it?"

Cui Cui looked at Lu Yu, puzzled; she didn't understand what the handso young man ant.

Lu Yu gently patted her head, causing Cui Cui to shyly bow her head before he continued, "Help deliver this plaque to the people in Lion Cal City." With that, he handed over the wooden plaque he had carved.

"What is this?" Cui Cui asked, perplexed.

"This is hope, a hope!" Lu Yu looked up at the bright moonlight in the sky and said, then his figure swiftly disappeared from Cui Cui's sight.

His ethereal voice lingered in her ears, "Rember, you must deliver this before dawn arrives!"

Cui Cui looked in astonishnt in the direction where Lu Yu had disappeared, hurried forward to chase after him, but she couldn't find him anywhere. She shouted loudly in the woods, but there was no response.

She touched the wooden plaque engraved with the character for "human" in her hand, recalling the words Lu Yu had spoken before he left. She turned her head; the distant, massive walls of Lion Cal City were still visible, resembling a hideous, crawling giant beast, showing its sharp fangs, glinting silver under the moonlight.

Cui Cui didn't want to return to that place filled with despair and fear, a nightmare she had endured all her life, but the brave little girl did not back down because she wanted to bring hope to everyone.

Although she didn't know the actual effect of this so-called hope, she had heard adults ntion the word before and understood that hope was a good thing.

Thus, the girl who had just escaped a great peril once again started running fiercely; last ti, she was fleeing from Lion Cal City, but this ti, she was indeed running toward it.

She didn't know what awaited her, but she knew she had to bring hope back, hoping to please her parents and the uncles around her a bit.

anwhile, Lu Yu had already arrived at a high mountain near Lion Cal City, standing at its peak; he could still clearly see the majestic walls of Lion Cal City.

This place was once a city belonging solely to the human race, with its splendid civilization and warm people, where countless humans thrived on this land.

Now, however, it had beco a human hell, with the remnants of people struggling under the oppression of the Demons, clinging to their lives, devoid of hope, left only with numbness.

Silver moonlight shone on Lu Yu's face, which was impassive to the extre, his eyes flashing with thunder, he looked at Lion Cal City and sneered, "Such a city of Demons, such a city of sin."

With a slight wave of his sleeve, the Treasure Vase floated in the air, slightly tilting downward as endless waves poured from the mouth of the vase, flowing down the mountain aid directly at the nearby Lion Cal City.

In the royal palace of Lion Cal City, nurous Demons gathered, a human corpse in each of their hands, feasting contentedly.

Three Demon Lords sat in the seats of honor, each aura as imposing as mountains, drinking fine wine—are the three Demon Kings of Lion Cal City.

Green Lion gently set down his cup, looking over at Dapeng and said, "Little brother, why haven't the offerings you spoke of arrived yet?"

Upon hearing this, Dapeng furrowed his brows and looked out at the sky, saying, "According to past experiences, they should have arrived by now."

After speaking, he ordered a servant to call the Snake Commander to search for the little demon responsible for obtaining the offerings. Before he could finish his commands, the palace suddenly shook violently, causing so Demons to stagger and nearly fall.

"Demons, co out and et your death!" A brash voice called from the sky.

The fearful report of a little demon reached their ears: "Reporting to the Great King, three monks have arrived outside. They look terribly ferocious and are challenging us."

Bai Xiang set down his wine cup, puzzled, and asked, "What monks would dare to challenge us in Lion Cal City? Could it be they are tired of living? What do they look like? Tell in detail."

"One has the face of Thunder Lord and a beard, one has a pig's head, and one a dark-skinned stout man."

The little demon had barely finished speaking when the three seated Demon Kings exchanged glances, seeing the shock in each other's eyes.

Hearing the description, they naturally recognized the challengers as the monkey brothers, but what shocked them was that according to the travel speed of the Tang Monk and his disciples, they shouldn't have been able to reach Lion Cal City by that ti, and yet they dared to show up and challenge them.

"Why bother about that much? They've already co knocking, and if we don't respond, the whole world will laugh at us," Green Lion spoke, noticing the hesitation in Bai Xiang and Dapeng's eyes.

Green Lion's words bolstered the resolve of Bai Xiang and Dapeng; since the fight had co to their doorstep, regardless of whatever sches or tricks, they had no choice but to et the challenge.

The three Demons, each ard, charged out of the Imperial Palace and saw the three monkeys standing in mid-air.

"Well if it isn't Protector of the Horse, daring to co here and provoke!" Green Lion cursed aloud.

"Well, well, Grandpa Sun sees you're not kneeling and kowtowing in a hurry. Could it be you've forgotten your Grandpa Sun after just one night?" Monkey teased Green Lion, poking at his sore spots.

"To think you bear the na 'Great Sage Equalling Heaven', engaging in nothing but petty thefts and still priding yourself on them, truly disgraceful," Bai Xiang mocked.

"My dear grandsons, how quickly you turn your backs, forgotten how you yourselves knelt and begged for rcy?"

"Big brother, second brother, why waste words on this lousy monkey? Let's use this chance to capture them all at once, and enjoy Tang Monk's flesh together," Dapeng, holding his weapon, roared.

Upon hearing this, Green Lion and Bai Xiang lightly nodded and gripped their weapons more tightly.

Suddenly, the sky was overcast with dark clouds, and a fierce wind swept through Lion Cal City. The moon, frightened, hid behind the clouds, and a great battle was about to begin.
