The three little fellows soared through the clouds towards Green Screen Mountain, and as Muzha watched their departing silhouettes, he slightly furrowed his brows and said, "Bodhisattva, is it really okay for the three kids to go like this? The Bull Demon King is no diocre foe, and if Red Child’s True Spirit is alard, I’m afraid their opponent is no ordinary one."
"You underestimate them too much; those three little ones combined are not weaklings. Besides, given the current state of affairs in the Three Realms, I reckon the person behind the scenes would not dare to strike brazenly. This is a good opportunity to train them," the Bodhisattva said with a smile. Your next chapter is on .Côm
Green Screen Mountain, true to its na, stood tall like a giant green screen erected upon the Earth. Within the mountain, there was a Banana Leaf Cave, where Princess Iron Fan resided.
At this mont, Princess Iron Fan sat quietly in her cave, staring blankly at a mirror.
Ever since Princess Jade-Faced had arrived, she had been keenly gathering information on her husband’s whereabouts, discovering indeed that he had been acting mysteriously. Lately, he was especially close with the Old Dragon King of the Green Wave Pool, which was unusual considering the Bull Demon King usually ignored this family due to Princess Iron Fan’s dislike of that ill-reputed Dragon Princess.
Such abnormal behavior led Princess Iron Fan to a conclusion in her heart, suspecting that her husband might have fallen victim to foul play. Yet, she dared not speak of it. The old ancestor’s power was unfathomable, like an Abyss with no bottom in sight. She feared that once she spoke out, not only would she be unable to save her husband, she herself could lose her life there.
The frazzled princess could only sit before her mirror every day, quietly contemplating a strategy to break the predicant.
Just then, the voice of a maid reporting news suddenly reached her ears. The irritable Princess Iron Fan imdiately burst out in anger, "What is it? Haven’t I said that if there’s nothing important, do not disturb during this ti!"
The maid was startled by Princess Iron Fan’s overreaction, knowing that although she was strict on normal days, she was by no ans a harsh mistress. Even after quarreling with the Bull Demon King, she never easily took out her anger on these servants.
However, the maid still reported truthfully, "Princess, the young master has returned!"
Princess Iron Fan, taken aback, asked, "What did you say, which young master has returned?"
Seeing Princess Iron Fan’s reaction, the maid couldn’t help but smile lightly and said, "Which young master else could it be? Of course, it’s the Great Sage the Holy Infant!"
At the maid’s words, Princess Iron Fan was ecstatic. She asked incredulously, "Are you telling the truth, you’re not lying to ?"
"The Princess jests, even if given the guts, I would not dare to deceive you. The young master is right outside the cave now, and he’s brought two friends with him," the maid replied.
Upon confirming the news, Princess Iron Fan rushed out of the cave with no regard for her appearance, as if mad. As soon as she exited, she saw Red Child conversing with the Dragon Princess and the Little Black Bear.
Tears imdiately stread down her face; this was her own flesh and blood, her son, of whom she was most proud.
Holding Red Child in her arms, Princess Iron Fan touched him all over and murmured, "My child, are you alright? You haven’t suffered, have you?" In this mont, she was no longer the formidable Fairy Iron Fan the rumors spoke of but a tender mother beholding her child who had not returned ho for ages.
"Mother, I am well," Red Child said, looking sowhat embarrassedly at Little Black Bear and the Dragon Princess, who were snickering to the side, and spoke softly.
It was then that Princess Iron Fan realized that her son had not co back alone but had brought two little friends. She quickly wiped the tears from her face and, turning to the Dragon Princess and Little Black Bear, said, "I’m sorry, I got a little too excited and lost my composure, please co in quickly!"
Having said that, she instructed the maids to prepare a feast to welco Red Child and his two companions and to cleanse away the dust of their journey.
Once inside the cave residence, Princess Iron Fan then asked with concern, "Child, didn’t I hear that you were captured by Guanyin? How did you manage to escape?"
"Mother, don’t listen to the nonsense others say. I was taken in by the Bodhisattva and now I have beco Sudhana. This ti, I didn’t escape; on the contrary, it was the Bodhisattva’s grace that allowed to visit ho." The Red Child of today no longer held any resentnt towards Guanyin, and he spoke of the Bodhisattva with great respect.
Seeing Xiao Hei and the Dragon Princess still eating fruits, Princess Iron Fan said with so embarrassnt, "I thought that you might have lost your freedom."
"By the way, you haven’t introduced these two yet," said the embarrassed Princess Iron Fan, quickly changing the subject.
"Mother, this is Sudhana, the Dragon Princess. On Mount Putuo, she took great care of . And Little Black Bear claims to be the Black Wind King!" Red Child said with a smile as he introduced his friends to his mother.
He was born extraordinary and exceptionally talented, making it difficult for him to play with other children. His parents were so of the most notable figures for miles around, so no other children dared to play with him.
As a result, the young Red Child was actually very lonely. Later, when his father took a concubine and his mother’s quarrels with his father beca increasingly fierce, Red Child ran away from ho in a huff and declared himself king over his own mountain. But throughout it all, he was alone, without any friends.
Only on Mount Luojia did he finally make his first and second friends in life, and he cherished their friendship very much. Especially this ti, the Dragon Princess and Little Black Bear, knowing the risks, were still willing to accompany him here, which touched him deeply.
Princess Iron Fan saw the genuine, radiant smile on her child’s face and felt very happy. Clearly, these two were indeed good friends whom Red Child cherished.
Looking at Little Black Bear gobbling down the food, Princess Iron Fan showed a smile filled with motherly love and said softly, "Little fellow, eat slowly, if it’s not enough I still have more here!"
The Dragon Princess covertly covered her face, embarrassed by Little Black Bear’s behavior. He was acting like a starving ghost reincarnated, constantly sitting at the table, eating non-stop since they ca in, with more than half of the food on the table already having gone into his mouth.
"Tasty! I want more honey!" Little Black Bear said with his mouth full, his words sowhat muffled.
Princess Iron Fan was amused by the endearing Little Black Bear and turned to order a maid, "Bring here the top-quality honey that mortals offered us a while ago!"
The Dragon Princess said sowhat embarrassingly, "Auntie, there’s no need, this is already enough."
Upon hearing about honey, Little Black Bear’s eyes lit up, and he exclaid excitedly, "I want it! I want it!"
The Dragon Princess gave him an unavoidable chestnut tap, but the thick-skinned Little Black Bear didn’t mind it one bit.
"Don’t stop him, let him eat. The Bodhisattva once said he is an Ancient Exotic Species, and it’s normal for him to have a large appetite during his growing period," Red Child said, preventing the Dragon Princess’s impulsive act, as he laughed.
