301: Chapter 302: Xuanzang Disappeared 301: Chapter 302: Xuanzang Disappeared Though Sun Wukong had once caused Havoc in Heaven, he had been driven to it by the Orthodox Deities of the celestial Court, yet for so monsters, his presence was very much a reality.
Now, upon witnessing Sun Wukong’s sudden appearance, the Pipa Spirit naturally showed fear on her face without any hesitation.
With no trace of hesitation, her form flashed with light and she directly fled into the ground, vanishing from sight.
The Pipa Spirit had fled just like that.
Sun Wukong initially wanted to pursue, but he also worried that the demon was rely employing a tactic to lure the tiger away from the mountain.
Sun Wukong then turned his attention to the two people inside the room.
Xuanzang and the Queen were exchanging affectionate glances, but he did not mind if Xuanzang broke his vows, for if this could end the Calamity of asurent of the Journey to the West at this ti, there would be nothing wrong with that!
By this ti, the Pipa Spirit had already fled several miles; never had she imagined that Sun Wukong would also be there, disrupting her plans.
“It seems I need to think of a long-term strategy!”
The Pipa Spirit furrowed her brow and said, “As desirable as the flesh of Xuanzang is, one must still be alive to enjoy it.”
Having encountered Sun Wukong, she naturally did not wish to risk her life.
“Amitabha Buddha!”
At that mont, the sound of “Amitabha Buddha” echoed through the air.
Simultaneously, the figure of a Buddha appeared before her.
“A person of Buddhism!”
Seeing this scene, the Pipa Spirit’s complexion drastically changed, and she imdiately attempted to flee swiftly.
But luck was not with her this ti, and before she could get away, she was stopped by a powerful force.
“Amitabha Buddha, where do you think you’re going, you demon?”
As the Buddha fully revealed himself, it was none other than Buddha Juriyunsun.
“Buddha Ancestor, please spare my life, I dare not anymore!”
How could the Pipa Spirit have expected that before she could capture Xuanzang, a person of Buddhism would co seeking trouble with her?
If she had known, she would not have provoked Xuanzang no matter what.
“To know one’s wrong and to and it is most noble.
I am not here to deal with you this ti, but I hope you will cooperate; otherwise, I will have no choice but to exterminate you!”
Buddha Juriyunsun spoke at a leisurely pace.
“Yes, yes, yes, I do not know how the Buddha Ancestor would like this humble woman to cooperate?
I will certainly cooperate!”
How could the Pipa Spirit dare to disagree?
Buddha Juriyunsun nodded.
This ti, Buddhism had long calculated that after Xuanzang reached the Woman Kingdom, a certain calamity would inevitably be waiting for him.
If Xuanzang were to beco imrsed in it, it would likely cause great trouble for the great task of Seeking Scriptures.
Originally, this was a trial.
It was a test of Xuanzang’s emotional ordeal, to see if he genuinely aspired to Buddhism.
But this was only assuming everything went smoothly.
Now, with Sun Wukong exceeding their expectations and Xuanzang also apparently changing, if they allowed things to continue unchecked,
Xuanzang would indeed beco imrsed in the pleasures of the senses and would then hardly be able to achieve Perfection in overcoming the Calamity, thereby causing Buddhism to lose the opportunity for great prosperity.
That’s why Buddha Juriyunsun had no choice but to intervene.
“I need you to take Xuanzang away!”
“What?”
Upon hearing Buddha Juriyunsun’s words, the Pipa Spirit thought she might have misheard.
Was Juriyunsun actually asking her to take Xuanzang away?
Wasn’t Buddhism supposed to subdue demons and be completely united with the scripture seeker?
Why then would they allow her to take Xuanzang away?
Could it be they were not afraid she might consu Xuanzang?
“Yes, I want you to take Xuanzang away.
Rest assured, I will ensure your safety, but you cannot consu Xuanzang!”
Buddha Juriyunsun said slowly.
The Pipa Spirit, frowning with concern, said, “But with Sun Wukong there, this humble woman cannot make a move!”
“I can distract Sun Wukong for you.
I hope you will cooperate with everything, otherwise do not bla for not warning you in advance!”
Buddha Juriyunsun stated calmly.
“I will follow the Buddha Ancestor’s arrangents!”
The Pipa Spirit respectfully spoke, but in her heart, she was considering that once she obtained Xuanzang, what would be so hard about eating a piece of Xuanzang’s flesh.
…
At this mont, outside the Queen’s chamber, Sun Wukong stood in front of the window, waiting for sothing to happen between the two.
To thoroughly destroy this encounter of the Journey’s Calamity of asurent.
Then they would be rid of the Calamity, and as for what would happen afterward, they would take it one step at a ti.
Sun Wukong certainly wasn’t worried.
However, at that mont, laughter entered Sun Wukong’s mind.
Sun Wukong quickly turned his head to look and saw a demon appearing in the distance behind him.
“Impudent, you dare to return!”
Sun Wukong continued to watch the two offering token resistance, naturally not wishing for anyone to disturb them.
A flash of light in his hand, the Jingu Bang appeared, striking directly at the demon.
“Sun Wukong, do you really think you can defeat ?
My goal is your master; what can you do to ?” the demon laughed mockingly, retreating as it spoke.
Sun Wukong persistently gave chase.
His Jingu Bang t the confrontation head-on.
And just after Sun Wukong left, a figure appeared at the window—it was the Pipa Spirit.
She looked back at the departing Sun Wukong for a mont.
Then she turned her gaze toward the room.
At that mont, Xuanzang was being embraced by the Queen, in a manner suggesting a woman chard and a man willing.
The Pipa Spirit blew a breath, and suddenly a glint flashed in the Queen’s eyes.
She released Xuanzang, saying, “Imperial Older Brother, since you are unwilling to be with in that way, the night is already deep.
Go back for now, and tomorrow we shall have a good talk!”
The Queen seed to be growing impatient with Xuanzang’s temperant, speaking in a cold voice.
Upon hearing the Queen’s words, a glint flashed in Xuanzang’s eyes.
Although he had no way with ordinary won, he was very familiar with the aura of demons.
He could clearly feel that the Queen had been bewitched by a demon, but no matter what, it felt like a great reprieve, and he hastily left.
“If that is so, then please prepare the Pass Permit, Your Majesty!”
Saying so, Xuanzang turned around and left without looking back.
Only the Queen of the Xiliang Country remained.
“Imperial Older Brother…”
Although the Queen was under the Pipa Spirit’s spell, she still watched Xuanzang’s retreating figure with so reluctance.
At this ti, the Court Lady had been waiting outside the door.
Seeing how quickly Xuanzang ca out and noticing the Queen’s spiritless appearance, she knew the Queen’s plan had failed this ti.
Her face couldn’t help but show so resentnt; the Queen had gone to such lengths to keep him, yet Xuanzang had not given even a bit of face and left the Queen heartbroken like this.
“The Holy Monk really isn’t giving any face.
How stubborn!”
The Court Lady frowned as she watched Xuanzang leave and spoke.
But at this mont, Xuanzang had no mind to care for her, only saying, “Please lead the way ahead.
I would like to go back and rest!”
The Court Lady didn’t press further, leading the group of palace maids to escort him back to the palace!
Xuanzang was walking slowly on the road, feeling relieved that the demon had acted; otherwise, it would not have been easy to extricate himself and leave.
He would rather confront a demon than have such contact with a mundane woman.
anwhile, Sun Wukong had not caught the demon.
Upon returning, he saw that the progressing relationship between Xuanzang and the Queen had surprisingly co to an end, and Xuanzang had gone back.
Sun Wukong didn’t think too much about it and could only return as well.
When Sun Wukong ca back, he found Zhu Bajie still eating and drinking.
Sand Monk saw Sun Wukong’s return.
“Eldest Senior Brother is back.
Did you kill the demon?”
Sand Monk asked.
He didn’t want anyone to harm their master.
“Given Master’s strength, we don’t have to worry.
What’s more concerning is whether he might get so enchanted by sensual pleasures that he cannot extricate himself!”
Zhu Bajie said between mouthfuls.
“I didn’t catch the demon, but the Queen didn’t manage to keep Master either,”
Sun Wukong said sowhat helplessly.
Sand Monk let out a long sigh of relief, fearing that if Xuanzang broke his vows, they would never be able to return.
Zhu Bajie seed to detect sothing and said, “It sounds like Brother Monkey is a bit disappointed!”
“Eldest Senior Brother must be feeling down because he didn’t get to kill that demon!”
Junior Brother Sand speculated aloud.
Sun Wukong didn’t feel it was appropriate to say outright that he had hoped for a perfect union between Xuanzang and the Queen.
He could only nod and say, “That demon wanted to attack Master, and Old Sun drove her away.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t kill her, which is truly a pity!”
“Now, Master is on his way back, so it should be all right!”
“Brother Monkey, Master was invited by the Queen.
Do you know what for?”
At this mont, Zhu Bajie asked curiously.
Sun Wukong said with a smile, “This naturally is sothing that could make any ordinary man linger on, forgetting to return ho!”
This certainly caught Sand Monk’s attention.
“Eldest Senior Brother, what is it?
Don’t leave us hanging!”
Zhu Bajie seed to have already guessed and said with a suggestive smile, “It couldn’t possibly be about cooking, could it?”
“Exactly, as the saying goes, once the raw rice is cooked, Master won’t need to seek the scriptures anymore!”
Hearing this, Sun Wukong nodded, neither confirming nor denying.
Although the two of them already knew, Sand Monk, who solely focused on returning to the Celestial Court, naturally didn’t understand anything about cooking rice.
“Eldest Senior Brother, Second Senior Brother, why don’t I understand what you’re talking about?”
Sand Monk felt frustrated that Zhu Bajie and Sun Wukong knew, while he did not.
“Well…”
Zhu Bajie said, lowering his voice and whispering to Sand Monk.
“Ah!”
Hearing the explanation, Sand Monk expressed his surprise, saying, “I didn’t expect the dignified Queen to actually do such a thing; it’s not reserved at all!”
“Reserved, for the won of the Woman Kingdom?
Junior Brother Sand, you’d better wake up.
The fact that they didn’t bed you on the spot is already because you’re strong!”
Zhu Bajie said, laughing, “Did Master and Brother Monkey do it?”
Sun Wukong also felt a bit disappointed, saying, “Unfortunately, even with the beauty in his arms, Master did nothing.
By the ti Old Sun drove away the demon and ca back, the two had already parted, and Master had left!”
Zhu Bajie felt so disappointnt too.
He naturally knew that Xuanzang was crucial in the Journey to the West.
If Xuanzang had broken his vows, they probably wouldn’t need to seek scriptures anymore.
Zhu Bajie continued to eat and drink.
Since they still had to seek the scriptures, it was best to eat more now in case there was nothing to eat later.
After driving Xuanzang away, the Pipa Spirit had been following him, waiting for an opportunity to strike.
The Court Ladies and others were irritated at Xuanzang’s obstinacy.
Everybody was ignoring Xuanzang, yet in the next mont, he suddenly disappeared.
