Five minutes later, Amon, carrying his Quinque, arrived at the scene. Seeing nearly a hundred ghouls lying on the ground, he was inexplicably shocked.
"What exactly happened here?"
He stepped across rubble, the deeper he went, the more shocked he beca.
For a sweep operation of this level, the CCG would at least have to dispatch several squads.
As far as he knew, the 20th Ward had always been very peaceful. At headquarters, the danger rating was very low.
Compared to other wards, the ghoul investigators here were pitifully few.
He and Special-Class Mado had only co here recently because of a pursuit mission.
In unrestful wards, there were extrely dangerous ghoul organizations. The CCG needed to concentrate manpower to deal with those troubleso opponents, so naturally, it was impossible to leave too many troops in a low-threat area.
If reinforcents weren't transferred from other wards, the 20th Ward's CCG branch absolutely wouldn't have the ability to carry out a sweep mission of this level.
"No way..."
Amon's gaze swept over the faces of these ghouls, and turbulent waves had already surged in his heart.
If there had been a mission of this level, he absolutely would've heard so word of it in advance. Yet headquarters hadn't had any intention to take action against the ghoul restaurant.
He looked up, and to the side, saw Jotaro Kujo casually leaning on a chair, flipping through a manga. A sudden, earth-shattering thought ford in his heart. 'Could it be that all of this was done by him alone? How is that possible!'
Amon's hand holding the Quinque trembled. 'What kind of terrifying combat strength is that! Facing hundreds of ghouls with just one's own strength! One person equal to an army?'
In the entire CCG, probably only Special-Class Arima could do that.
He forcefully suppressed the shock in his heart, straightened his body, walked up to Jotaro, still unable to believe his own speculation.
"What happened here, can you explain the situation?"
"Ku... Kujo Jotaro, that's your na, right?"
Amon entered professional mode and said seriously, "Kujo-kun, please cooperate with the investigator's inquiry and explain the details of what happened here as clearly as possible."
Jotaro glanced at him and replied briefly, "While I was capturing the Gourt, they all fainted."
Amon stood there with his mouth wide open, utterly stunned. 'What kind of explanation is that! Nearly a hundred ghouls fell, and he brushed it off so lightly?'
"More importantly..." Jotaro closed his manga, hands in his pockets, stood up from the chair, and asked, "That hunchbacked man? I've already captured the Gourt. When does he plan to give a recomndation?"
Amon's attention was drawn to the ground at Jotaro's feet. There curled a blue-haired foreign man covered in injuries.
'This is the Gourt?'
He wasn't very sure, they didn't have much intel on the Gourt either. Otherwise, Special-Class Mado wouldn't have sent a student to investigate.
But according to headquarters' data, the Gourt was an S-rank ghoul. Later, as long as this foreign man's body was examined, it could be confird.
This level of ghoul was indeed rare.
He looked up and said, "You still haven't answered , what exactly happened here?"
Jotaro said flatly, "Can't you tell? The Gourt got beaten up by ."
Amon said, annoyed, "Even if he really is the Gourt, and you really beat him up, then what about the other ghouls?"
"I already said just now," Jotaro didn't feel like explaining more.
No matter what he said, the other party wouldn't believe it.
After all, Haki didn't belong to this world, it already exceeded the other's range of understanding. The best thod now was to release Haki in front of him. But what was the use of that?
After releasing it, Amon would lose consciousness too. After waking up, he probably wouldn't rember the details anyway.
Jotaro's explanation was too simple. In fact, it really was that simple. But in Amon's view, a battle of this scale couldn't possibly be that simple.
So he simply assud Jotaro was spouting nonsense.
Unable to get anything aningful out of Jotaro, he was a bit annoyed, but now wasn't the ti to get caught up in that.
The truth could be reconstructed afterward. The urgent matter was to detain these ghouls.
He imdiately contacted the 20th Ward CCG branch to request reinforcents, then dialed his superior's number.
"Amon-kun, calling this late, what's the matter?"
From the other end ca Special-Class Mado's dissatisfied voice. He was video chatting with his beloved daughter, and got interrupted by Amon.
Amon said, "Special-Class Mado, do you rember that tall student we t a week ago?"
Mado thought for a mont and said, "Seems like there really was such a person. I told him to go investigate information on the Gourt."
"What? Did sothing happen to him? Don't worry, Amon."
"Fighting ghouls ans death is normal. Hehe... I thought he had potential, what a pity."
Amon said, "That's not what I ant."
"Oh?" Mado beca interested. "Don't tell he found information about the Gourt?"
"Tell . If it's useful, I'll keep my promise and recomnd him."
There was a long silence on the other end.
Amon took a breath and said, "Special-Class Mado, the Gourt has already been captured."
According to the test results, that ghoul definitely reached S-rank. With the facts before him, even he had to believe it.
"What!" Mado exclaid. Even he found ghouls of this level troubleso.
"Not only did he find the Gourt, he even defeated him. In addition, he discovered the ghoul restaurant's hideout and wiped them all out."
There was another long silence from the other end.
Mado's faint voice slowly ca through. "Didn't think a serious kid like you, Amon, could joke too!"
"Special-Class Mado, everything I said is true! I hope you can co imdiately. That guy is here waiting for you!"
After hanging up, Amon let out a long breath, still feeling a sense of unreality.
If everything that happened during the day was just as Jotaro had described, then before long, the CCG would gain another Special-Class Investigator.
