[Eon’s POV: ]
"Hmmm…"
The lunch table was ready in the kitchen area, the food was served, everyone was here already, and since all the dishes were revealed as well, everyone was looking at the various items we had on the nu for today.
"It doesn’t really look too fancy." Carla and elder aunt were pretty surprised to see all these things.
Considering the two hours we took to prepare these things, she thought we must have co up with sothing unique, sothing special and different from what she might have seen.
However, the things before them looked pretty simple— as they were supposed to.
"My master, Zoe’s mom, emphasizes the quality of the master over the appearance or the presentation."
Everything on the table here was pretty simple looking. Be it the soup, the bread, the small portions of gravies, the various salads, or the good looking glass of beverages. Everything here was quite pretty, but not out of the ordinary. These things were in fact pretty common from their standards.
"You usually make astonishing things back ho, so I was looking forward to sothing amazing like that." Carla moved her fork above the vapour around her cup of soup.
We had made a special item for all of them, and for Carla who found the nu today a little underwhelming, these things were pretty simple looking.
They had a unique aroma to them, she even wanted to eat these things right away, but still, she could not shake off the weird feeling that she had.
"Eon, since you are not going to explain what these things are anyway, shouldn’t we start now? What are we waiting for?"
Elder Aunt Mi was looking forward to eating the strange colorful thing that was placed before her.
It was sothing close to bread, but it wasn’t bread. The six distinct little pieces resembled a sandwich, yet they weren’t really filled with vegetables or stuffings.
That thing was in fact a soup… but she will only understand that when she eats it.
"Miss Moon is bringing sothing so I was waiting for her, however, we can start if you want."
Everything was served, the only addition that was needed was a flower.
"Oh, that’s right. Monnem isn’t here yet." She rembered that they were missing one mber.
And after her, the rest of them also rembered that they had not seen the Maid that had co with us.
’Miss Moon was here a while ago, but they all missed her.’
She had been going around the tower by herself ever since we ca here, doing things that I had tasked her with.
There were many things that she had done ever since we ca here instead of observing all the things around the floors and being fascinated by it.
’She was helping with various things ever since we ca here and since she was the only one I could entrust with so of the tasks right now, she was a great help.’
Even right now, she was bringing us a certain flower from the garden on the higher floor. But, the rest of them had almost forgotten that she had even co with us.
"That girl is a strange one as well. She almost doesn’t have any presence to her." Elder Aunt was now fascinated.
Thinking back, she had not paid much attention to Miss Moon, in fact, thinking back, including grandpa and Elder uncle, no one had really paid much attention to her when she was at the Heliox estate.
They all knew she was around and helping them, she had even asked her for a few things before, but she was still not soone that made a great impact on them.
Or, to put it in better words…
"She’s like a ghost."
She was around but at the sa ti, she wasn’t. She did things but no one really knew what they were.
She even interacted with them, but sotis, as I can tell from the look of confusion from Alf and Carla’s faces, it must be difficult for them to even recall her face.
’And if she is able to get away from the perception of even people like grandpa and Aunt Mi, it must an she’s putting in a lot of effort into her training.’
She was a mage, but her talent extended beyond magic.
"She’s being trained by Zhen personally so I guess the ghost-like presence is understandable. Her natural aura is pretty low as if she is soone that has lived alone most of her life… she also uses illusions if I’m right, so she must be a formidable individual."
"She’s a special one indeed."
Grandfather knew she was no ordinary individual.
She was the only person that accompanied to the places that I didn’t even bring Rein to. He knew she was my personal assistant and I was teaching her various things myself so she was definitely a special individual.
"Since you brought her here, there must be sothing very special about her as well, right?" Aunt Mi asked with a certain smirk on her face.
"What kind of special lesson are you going to give-."
"Oh, she’s here."
I didn’t an to, but I ended up cutting off Aunt Mi while she was asking about our plans.
"Master." Miss Moon also grasped what was going on before her sudden arrival but did not react to it and simply placed the special white flower that she had brought along with her on the vase in the middle of the table.
The flower was covered in a certain mbrane, however, she infused so of her Mana and the mbrane evaporated instantly as a unique fragrance so strong it covered the entire kitchen and almost overwheld the scents of the food items spread around us.
"We should start eating now." Miss Moon took her place on the other side of the table with Quin and Chry and got ready, unbothered by the attractive scent that had spread around the room.
’She must have beco accustod to these kinds of scents when she was in the flower garden, but she sure was good at maintaining her composure.’
It was a special flower with a special effect that enhanced the flavours of things that we ate, sothing grandma even used in cooking– sothing I could not do yet.
I did not expect the others to know what this flower was. It was rare from where we co from so it was very uncommon. Still, while it wasn’t extrely pretty, the fragrance was undoubtedly a charm.
"We will continue the talk about her, young one." Elder Aunt knew I did not an to change the topic, but we did not have to do that anymore.
For now, it was ti for lunch, and since everything was ready, she was the first to dig into her dish.
"...?"
And, she was also the first one to have a surprised and confused expression after taking the first bite of her special dish.
"Shouldn’t we say the prayers or sothing?" Anna pouted her cheeks when Aunt Mi just dug into the food without them.
But then Carla followed behind her, and tasted her soup as well, gaining a similar surprised-confused expression.
"Hey, why is everyone starting without ?!" Rein started after seeing Carla and Del who followed behind her and picked up the magic fork to taste the appetizer that I had prepared for her.
President and Grandpa were hungry as well so they started as well, so at the end, Anna had no choice but to forget about the ’thanks for food’ and start her own al.
"Hmmm…?"
And, while the thing she had before her resembled nothing more than a common porridge that sick people have, it was not what she had expected.
"What… even is this?"
The spaghetti that I was having was the charm of the event. The unique items prepared for them were my gift to them, and there will be sweets that they will love as well, but before that…
"Using these artifacts does make a difference, huh?" Del could not help her delight at the food she was having right now.
It was simply red and hot, but at the sa ti, while it was sothing made of veggies, it was a treat that any being with her blood would love.
Aside from that, the filling things that grandpa and President were having should be enough to satisfy their hunger despite the small portions.
"This food is amazing however I think about it~!" Even Quin and Chry were having fun with their portions, Quin even stealing things from Chry’s plate openly.
"The Food made with special artifacts and unique ingredients… despite the humble looks, it is like a noble treasure prepared for the chosen ones."
Aunt Mi and Taika both were delighted by their unique dishes that they did not understand a thing about.
’The molecular gastronomy used to make so of these things surely was only possible thanks to the artifacts that we have here, but they were not all there was to the taste.’
The scent of the flower, the comfortable seats, the wait before eating, even the hectic day that we have had.
’After all of the things that we went through today, this blessing was simply above everything.’
For as well, having this special spaghetti with this certain gravy that Master had made and stored for us to have anyti we wanted… This experience was, calming.
The puppets of the gods, creation of the Lifeblood, even Anna’s awakening and our arrival here, all of these things were simply too much for but now that everything was fine, I can have this al with peace of mind…
"Big brother~! This is amazing~!"
And even though she had changed a little, Anna was still smiling brightly. So, I had at least succeeded in saving that bright smile of hers.
’I’m happy with just this much.’
For now, this was enough.
We can worry about the more complicated things later…
