[Rein's POV: ]

"Alright, no. That's not it!"

They were doing it all wrong so he shouted at them and picked up the device himself and placed it on one of the pillars.

"Look, you first have to set the scale instead of following the standard procedure."

The device looked like so normal asurent scale but with a unique crystal in the center of it.

The crystal had a pretty looking bubble inside of it, and what they had to do was simply to set the scale in a way that it would align the bubble with the five other crystals set across the place.

"Hey! But how can you go beyond the obvious process?! You have to first place it and align with the other things! How will you-."

"Just shut up for a minute, headmaster!"

Since the headmaster and President couldn't get it right even after ten minutes, he had to stop his own thing and get here.

"Look, Cradle. This one's going to be better."

Cradle and I didn't have much to do here since the three of them, headmaster, Prez, and my darling were doing all the things by themselves. They were also enjoying it, so we just sat back and watched the three do their nerdy things.

"This is going to be better than that surprise from earlier?"

"Hehe, just keep looking."

Eon was very professional when he was working on a project. I had firsthand experience working with him on different things so, I know how he becos a different person when he's doing his thing.

Since we got here, he had spent a few minutes understanding this place and an hour planning out how they were going to do what they were going to do.

Then he spent an hour explaining how they were going to do it to the rest of us, and while Del and I didn't really understand all of it, the two other idiots understood everything he was saying.

"Here. We don't have to align the connector with the dots. We can just create a line first and then set the dots so that they can align with the rest of the structure.

It's more convenient as well as much better than setting the dots and then passing a line through them in an environnt like this one!"

He set the device in so strange manner and activated it as a ray of light with the sa color as the crystal the bubble was in. Then, he turned the device off and perfectly realigned the other crystals before starting the device again.

'This ti, unlike the previous tis they had done it, when the energy light was activated again, it t the crystals that were now set perfectly in its path without even an inch of difference.'

When the light passed through these crystals, it was reflected in two different angles and while one of the ends continued and connected with the adjacent ones, the other t the rest of them in the center, making a unique hexagonal structure divided into six parts.

The crystals did not hold too long though as the intensified energies had beco too intense for them and ended up vaporizing instead of shattering or lting.

'These were special crystals that they were going to use to reflect the light of the moon to multiple points and were made of unique materials.'

While the test only involved five of them and a small device, they were going to set around three hundred of them around this cave and the outside and make it so that all of their lights et at a certain point.

'Instead of a laser of high intensity photons, they will use a refined form of energy that will first originate from Sansan and then pass through the headmaster which will then go to Eon who will act as a filter and then, using his Solnova as purifier, he will release the final product onto a device that he was assembling earlier.'

The process will require a lot of ntal processing, and one of the reasons they had left the task to Eon was not just because of his unique physique, but also because of his 'strange' ability to process ntal information.

'He was first working on that big tech that they have, then he shifted to this and, now that he was done showing them how it was done, without even paying their surprised look any attention, he went back to his work.'

While the two were stunned the first ti he showed them sothing out of the books, sothing perhaps he learned while working by himself or when he was with his master… this ti, they had just paused.

They thought about what he just did for a mont, and then they went and tried placing the crystals into place one more ti.

They did as he had done, and first set the scale and then focused on the crystals. But, that did not work the way he had shown them.

-Ooooooooong!

While the light that was produced did bounce from one crystal to the other, it did not happen the sa way it did when he did it.

"What the hell?"

They were then confused once more, and tried figuring out what they were doing wrong and, even though these two are so of the smartest minds we have known till now, seeing them struggling with sothing Eon had done effortlessly strangely made us smirk~.

"Hehe, see?"

"Kek. They're like monkeys figuring out how to peel a banana."

While watching my darling play with his big toys was fun, seeing that bastard headmaster and our cool prez struggle with sothing so simple looking was even more fun.

"Haaa… why are you two so dead set on the asurents! I told you to just set them in the path of the ray!"

Eon could not see them struggling with sothing so simple when they still had so many other things to look after.

"If you can't keep a track of where the light is going, you can just trace it! Don't try to rember it like I do!"

They certainly knew how his head worked and how he could just rember things as they are.

'It did not occur to them that he would be using that ability to rember things in such a manner so they were just trying to do it as he had shown them and set the crystals in a way that they resemble his positioning.'

That was not how it should be, even the two of us on the sidelines knew that, so just seeing them struggling with that simple thing brought us more joy than seeing the cool things that were happening around us right now.

'The empty palace that we went to this morning had already transford into a secret lab.'

Eon had brought out his artificial helpers and they had laid out a layer of protective tiles all around the cave.

'On top of that, they first installed various protective magic and set up a pre-built magic protection system so that no accident occurs.'

They made sure there were enough resources around so they had first taken out everything that they would need and set it up in a section while dividing this entire place into [Action], [Storage], and [Preparation] zones.

'With Eon now working on his own thing, with everything coming to shape, with all these cool things being around us, and with all five of us being in a lab-coat, it felt like we were so secret scientists doing sothing shady.'

Eon was working on this big machine that they had made over the last few months, a cooler that would condense the energy that he sends there.

While his body would do the filtering process, the refinent would be done by Lucy. The interplay between thermodynamics would be crazy here since what we will deal with would mostly be energies that aren't conventional.

"We do not know what the end product would be. Whether it would be an energy's liquid form… which I don't think would be the end result, or if the thing we obtain would resemble a fluid.'

Since we are dealing with energies, the one that knows the most about it is him. But then again, the reason the headmaster is here is to see the end of this experint itself.

'Prez's family, Sansan, is the key component of the whole process since without him, this is not going to be possible. Del and I are here simply because of them.'

But the headmaster is here as a witness.

'If Eon does succeed, he will be making history by creating sothing that should not exist. A pure form of life energy that could revitalize even a dead being.'

This wasn't just about creating an elixir more powerful than anything that currently exists, it was about doing sothing that has not been done before. Continue reading stories on empire

'If he wants to prove the results of his experint to the world, which he will inevitably have to in case of a success, he will need a credible witness.'

And I do not think that, despite his uniqueness, there is anyone more credible in this world than the headmaster.

'His role was more important here than the rest of us.'

While he helped and played an active role in the success of the experint, he was not the one that thought and executed this.

'Just like a mont ago, the one who was doing most work and guiding them, was my darling.'

And when the ti cos, it would be the headmaster's duty that Eon gets the credit that he deserves.'
