To Helena’s surprise, Eleanor threw back her head and laughed.

"You know, a lot of insecure she-wolves in my pack are like you," Eleanor said.

"Like ?" Sara asked, tilting her head to the side.

She eyed Eleanor and her friends carefully, clearly sh hadn’t expected this kind of reaction from the group.

’She probably thought they’d be on her side since they all want Roo as their mate,’ Hera comnted.

’Sara isn’t exactly the sharpest tool in the shed,’ Helena told her wolf as she sat back and watched how Eleanor and her friends would deal with Sara.

’We surely misread this one,’ Hera added.

’I think we can be friends,’ Helena grinned as she watched Eleanor circle Sara like a predator stalking its prey.

"Didn’t you learn your lesson at training, Sara?" Jenna scoffed.

"Yeah, the Alpha handed you your ass in less than a minuite!" Chloe added.

"Wow, Alpha Roo went up against a girl?" Eleanor asked, shocked that an Alpha would step onto the mats to fight a female packmate.

Alphas tended to avoid that kind of complication.

"She doesn’t look like she can handle an Alpha," one of Eleanor’s friends said.

Helena laughed at the double-edged remark.

"Oh, she definitely couldn’t handle Alpha Roo," Jenna chuckled.

"It was Alpha Helena that handed her her ass on the mats," Chloe pointed out. "What was it, ten seconds?"

All the girls looked at Helena, stunned by how fast she’d beaten Sara.

"She’s lucky the Gamma didn’t call for a fight till submission," Rae chuckled.

"I might be weaker in a fight, but a Luna doesn’t have to fight!" Sara argued, her voice breaking as she slowly lost the argunt. "At least there will be no question on who the father of my pups will be."

Helena glared at Sara.

"Are you telling you’re a virgin?" Eleanor asked.

Helena got up and placed a hand on Eleanor’s shoulder.

The other she-wolf looked at her and raised an eyebrow, most likely wondering why Helena was stepping in.

Helena shook her head and gave her new friend a kind look.

"You don’t need to fight my battles for , Eleanor," Helena sighed.

"This bitch needs to be put in her place," Eleanor hissed.

"Weren’t you being an to Helena just a few monts ago?" Rae teased.

"She’s different," Eleanor answered, rolling her eyes. "I made a mistake, and I fixed it. I ca in too confident and too cocky."

"Plus what Werewolf doesn’t like to fuck?" Eleanor’s more quiet friend, Stella, asked.

"We wolves are very sexual in nature," Jenna said as she nodded, agreeing with what Stella had said.

"Saying that you kept yourself as virginal as possible is like saying you went against your nature," Stella accused. "Why would Alpha Roo want a mate that denies what she is?"

Sara growled in response.

She glared at the she-wolves she’d clearly underestimated.

"You’ve lost this one, Sara," Helena chuckled.

"And what right do you have claiming that the Alpha is your mate?" Eleanor asked as she stepped up next to Helena. "Have you been with him during the Blood Moon?"

Sara pursed her lips and didn’t respond.

"You haven’t, have you?" Eleanor chuckled.

"He slept with the night after, he chose !" Sara cried out.

Everyone was now watching the exchange between Sara and Helena’s group. To Helena’s surprise, Sara’s friends had remained silent, choosing to simply watch rather than to participate.

Rae scoffed at Sara, "He ca ho because he heard Helena had."

"He still spent the night with ," Sara argued.

"He was frustrated that Helena wasn’t here," Rae pointed out. "The sooner you get that through your thick skull, the sooner you’ll be able to move on. Roo used you to scratch and itch!"

"He is my mate and—" Sara shouted.

"Oh please," Stella said, rolling her eyes.

Helena grinned at how Stella was now stepping out of her shell. It was quite interesting to watch the ek girl transform.

"You haven’t been with him on the Blood Moon, he hasn’t claid you as his mate on any of the past Blood Moons. Get it through your thick skull, Silvya, he is probably not your mate," Eleanor spat.

"It’s Sara!" Sara shouted.

"Whatever, Santana," Rae chuckled, following Eleanor’s example.

Helena laughed and shook her head.

Everyone looked at her and waited for her to speak.

"You do realize that every unmated she-wolf in this room has the sa chance as you do to be Roo’s mate?" Helena asked as she looked around the room.

There were a lot of unmated she-wolves that stepped forward as if they’d been personally insulted by Sara.

"Well, at least those he hasn’t been around on the Blood Moon and isn’t related to him," Helena shrugged.

"You’re his sister, you can’t be mates," Sara argued.

"Who said I wanted to be mates with Roo?" Helena asked.

The room went silent with Helena’s declaration.

"Helena," Rae whispered as she tugged at Helena’s shirt.

"Why wouldn’t you?" Eleanor asked, stunned.

"Mates only bring pain," Helena confidently answered.

It was the first ti she was vocalizing her stand on mates. It was unconventional. Every wolf dread of the night they’d et their mates and be whole.

"Th— th— that’s impossible," Jenna said. "I’ve seen you with the Alpha, it’s clear he wants you as his mate."

Helena gave Jenna a sad smile.

"He’s my best friend. He’s been my best friend since we were kids," Helena shrugged. "That’s all we’ll be cause this pack needs a proper Luna."

Rae laughed at Helena’s words.

"Good luck convincing him," Rae said.

Luckily, she didn’t divulge to everyone that Helena had spent the whole afternoon in Roo’s room.

"Lies!" Sara shouted. "You’re desperate for him."

"Oh, just shut it!" Stella shouted. "You’re such an attention whore that you can’t see when you aren’t wanted around."

Sara whimpered at Stella’s words.

Helena sighed as she waved a hand, and Neil was quickly at her side.

"Kick her out," Helena ordered, and Neil was quick to obey.
