"Tell ," Helena said as she inched closer, exuding confidence and letting a little bit of her Alpha aura slip. She normally held it back, but this ti, she felt it was necessary. "The invitation you received for tonight, from whom was it?"
Eleanor and her friends let out a small whimper as they looked down, subtle hints of submission to the Alpha with them.
"I think you’re overdoing it," Rae said as she pointed at their guests,
Unlike everyone else, Rae was unaffected. She was the daughter of an Alpha, after all. But unlike Rae, their friends Jenna and Chloe were starting to feel the pressure of Helena’s aura as well.
Shighing, Helena pulled back her aura and kept it locked.
"Let’s try this again, shall we?" Helena asked. "From whom was your invite tonight?"
"Helena, the acting Luna for Alpha Roo," one of Eleanor’s friends managed to say.
"And probably his mate," Jenna scoffed.
Helena gave her a warning look, making the other she-wolf back down a little. Despite this, Jenna and Chloe giggled among themselves.
Eleanor and her friends gave the pair curious glances but didn’t dare say anything else.
"Have you t the acting Luna?" Rae asked, grinning at Helena.
"No, she wasn’t here to welco us, but I’m sure she’ll make an appearance. She must be extra busy with the Alpha Rite coming up," Eleanor said readily praising Helena.
"And what do you know about Alpha Roo’s family?" Rae pressed.
"I don’t see how this is relevant," one of Eleanor’s minions said, jumping into the conversation ready to defend their leader.
Rae shook her head and sighed.
"If you have plans of marrying into the Blackmoon family, shouldn’t you get to know who the mbers are at least?" Rae asked.
"Very well," Eleanor said quite confidently. "There is the Alpha’s father, the soon-to-be retiring Alpha Raul and his second chance mate, and the Alpha’s stepmother, Luna Alyssa."
"Who is the mother of the Alpha Heir of the Stonehill pack," one of the girls that was with Eleanor said. "She’s also the sister of the sitting Alpha."
Eleanor rolled her eyes and continued to recite Roo’s family tree.
"Then there’s Rae Blackmoon, the Alpha’s younger sister, who we’d be thrilled to et," Eleanor added. "And their youngest, Rebecca, the Alpha’s half sister."
"You’re forgetting soone, soone very important," Chloe said with a grin. "The Alpha’s step-sister."
"Wait, the Luna had two children?" Eleanor’s friend asked, shocked by Chloe’s revelation.
"This is why you should be more vocal," Jenna said as she nudged Helena’s side.
"No, my mom didn’t have two children," Helena said, laughing. "I’m Helena, the Luna of Blackmoons, only child and the Alpha Heir of the Stonehill pack."
The group of won were left dumbfounded.
No one spoke.
Everything continued to happen around them while they stared at the group of girls that they were now seeing in a new light.
’I think we broke them,’ Hera teased.
’Pretty sure we’re the last people they expected to et,’ Helena answered.
"Oh, and before I forget," Helena said, grinning, wanting to rub more salt into the wound. "Have you t Rae, my stepsister and the sister to Alpha Roo?"
Helena watched as the won paled at her words.
"They’ve managed not only to offend the acting Luna, the Alpha Heir of the Stonehill Pack, and the Alpha’s sister," Jenna chuckled.
"Alpha— I an Luna— I an—" Eleanor said in a panic as she tried to salvage the situation.
Helena held her hand up and sighed.
"It’s fine," Helena told Eleanor.
"You’re too nice," Rae pouted. "If it were up to Roo, he wouldn’t let anyone disrespect you like that."
"I’m not Roo," Helena shrugged. "We’ve always had opposite tempers."
As an ambassador, Helena was calr and more forgiving. She knew that these people still had the chance to improve and change, given the chance.
Also, they’d already seen the error in their ways.
Turning her attention back to the group, Helena gave them a kind smile that freaked them out even more.
"Look, just don’t look down on people so quickly," Helena told them.
"We won’t, ma’am," Eleanor said, bowing her head in submission.
"Helena," Helena corrected. "Call Helena. It makes sound old and strict and an if you call ma’am."
"We won’t, we promise, Helena," one of Eleanor’s friends said.
It seed that the group had more in common. They were soon talking about their similar struggles when it ca to getting the male wolves to respect them as warriors.
"My dad just wants to shelter ," Eleanor grumbled. "And don’t get started on my brother. He thinks I should be protected and shouldn’t lift a finger."
"Roo is the sa," Rae said. "Lucky for , I have Helena, and she’s proven to my dad and brother that won could be warriors too."
The she-wolves who were already impressed with Helena despite never eting her now saw her in a new light and were even more impressed.
"You should co visit," Jenna suggested. "The Alpha would be open to that, wouldn’t he?" she asked as she looked at Rae and Helena.
"I’m sure both Dad and Roo would be open to the suggestion," Rae said with a soft smile on her lips. "Plus it would be nice to have more won on the elite team."
Chloe and Jenna both nodded aggressively, agreeing with what Rae said.
"Well, well, well," a familiar voice said, drawing everyone’s attention to the newcor.
"Sara," Rae grumbled.
"This isn’t your battle," Helena said as she stopped her stepsister from saying anything.
"What do you want, Sara?" Helena asked, crossing her arms on her chest.
"What are you respectable won doing with this whore?" Sara asked, completely ignoring Helena. "Do you not know who she is?"
"Do we not?" Eleanor asked.
"No, she’s a slut that spreads her legs for male that approaches her and is a mate-theif," Sara hissed.
"Mate-theif? Whose mate did she steal?" Eleanor asked.
"Mine, Alpha Roo is mine," Sara growled, drawing the rest of the party’s attention to them.
