64: Chapter 33: Paganism, Warm Blood 64: Chapter 33: Paganism, Warm Blood Navaniel had been worried since the day he took up his role as a Priest, destined to set his sights further than the average tribe mber.

It had been over a hundred years since the Frost Tribe left the Extre North Icefield.

At first, they believed the spirits of their ancestors led them to the Northern Land to recover and grow, then to strike back.

But the Frost Tribe had grown weaker over ti.

Without the Frost Tribe’s control and restraint, to what extent could those formidable enemies of the Extre North Icefield have grown in these hundred years?

Could they move southward following the footsteps of the Frost Tribe?

When those bone-crushing, flesh-eating Skinners, those cold and ruthless beasts, swarm into this land in groups…

what disaster would it bring?

Eventually, the entire Northern Land would be struck by disaster!

But what could be done?

All possible actions had been taken, he had even personally killed his own only son.

Grozil, before Valia was born, was the finest descendant of the Frost Tribe’s Ice Split lineage, yet he had ended him with his own hands.

As resolute as the Frost Tribe was, they too were torn apart by this tragedy.

He once fell into despair, believing he had lost the qualification to be a Priest, but the existence of his tribe forced him to revive his spirit.

Fortunately, a turning point had co for the Frost Tribe today.

Valia!

Valia!

She would be the savior of the Frost Tribe!

Navaniel firmly believed.

Boom!

Initially, it was a faint noise, like lightning across the distant sky.

It wasn’t distinct or tangible, making it hard to take seriously.

Boom!

Then, the dull sound grew louder, resembling the distant rushing of waves, endlessly, violently washing against the riverbanks.

Boom!

Next ca a slight trembling of the ground, like a river flooding during the ice lt, the ice layer breaking apart with a collapsing crash.

Boom!

Lastly, it was the sound of mountains collapsing and tsunamis roaring; the ground truly began to shake!

Whoosh!!!

Snowflakes drifted from the sky, rendering those terrifying figures vividly clear amidst the snowstorm!

Armored in black, the Demon Hunting Knights had traveled thousands of miles to this isolated land.

From a high vantage, this elite cavalry resembled a slender, black-bodied serpent with a silver head, flicking its tongue as it aggressively road the vast icefield, propelled by its scales.

Until they reached the front of the Frost Tribe.

Then, this slim, elongated serpent extended its golden tongue from its silver head, arched its body, poised to strike, determined to devour the tribe that looked like a white elephant.

Navaniel halted their advance.

Behind him stood hundreds of Frost Warriors.

The Ice Split Tribe had always been martially inclined; every man, woman, elderly, and youth was a capable Frost Warrior.

Only the Frost children who could not wield weapons did not take part in the battle.

Standing fifty ters away, Navaniel shouted into the wind at the Demon Hunting Knights: “Human believers!

Why have you co?”

Keton imdiately drew the Big Sword from his back, its brilliant blade possessing a sky-like sunny aura, with its golden edge pointing towards the Frost Tribe.

Shasta shouted, “The All Gods must not be blasphed!

Belief tolerates no difference!

We are here to hunt demons!”

The howling snowstorm couldn’t suppress the earth-shattering declaration of the gods.

Clad in black armor, wielding long spears and big swords, and fully ard, the Demon Hunting Knights unanimously swore:

“The All Gods must not be blasphed!

Belief tolerates no difference!

We are here to hunt demons!!!”

The power that burst forth montarily stilled the wind and snow of the land.

Navaniel also let out a battle cry, his deep, vast voice erging from his throat like a horn from ancient tis.

After a mont of silence, the wind and snow from the heavens and earth beca even more furious.

Whoosh~~Whistle~~

His stature was exceptionally tall, his deathly pale hair flying wildly, his body muscled like craggy white stone pines, blocking in front of the knights.

In the Frost language, he said, “Frost Warriors!

Soone wishes to harm the daughter of our forefather!

Soone seeks to tarnish our forefather’s honor!

What shall we do!”

“Fight to the death!

Fight to the death!”

All the Frost people erupted in unprecedented fury, far angrier than they had ever been towards Shasta.

Renocika had lost an arm, but he still ca to fight.

He and his wife supported each other, he raised a wooden spear with his one arm, cursing in the Frost language, “Let the blizzards drown you vile offspring!”

“Throw them all into the icy river to feed the frozen fish before Valia returns!!”

“Defend the daughter of our forefather!!”

“The spirit of our forefather guides us in battle!!”

“Foreigners!

Heretics!

Infidels!!”

“Demon Hunting Knights!

Charge!!”

“Glory!

Strength!!”

Without much negotiation, with no sign whatsoever, rely two sentences were spoken, but for the devout, that was enough.

Upon setting foot on this land, their malevolent intentions were blatantly obvious.

The Demon Hunting Knights were the first to launch the attack!

They rode highland horses from the east.

Under the lead of Dawn Knight Keton, all the Demon Hunting Knights charged forward!

Like coiled, ready serpents, they suddenly sprang towards the white elephants ahead!

The Frost Priest waved his arm, as if signaling a premonition, and a blizzard roared down from behind him.

Propelled by this force, the Frost Warriors sward out, unleashing even greater combat strength.

Keton led the charge, his gold big sword swinging, cutting a particularly fast-running Frost man with one arm and his wife in two.

He, like a sharp arrowhead, tore through all obstacles along the way, leading the Demon Hunting Knights straight through.

The wooden spears of the Frost people struck his silver armor, creating only fleeting, shallow marks, totally unable to shake a Sixth Rank Transcendent and the finest highland warhorses.

Their iron hooves charged unstoppable, trampling these tall, fierce foreigners into a bloody mash!

“Let see if the blood of you foreigners is warm!!”

It was a purely frontal charge; Keton disdained using any tactics against these barbarians of the North who consud raw at and drank blood.

As he expected, the charge ended in a complete victory for the Demon Hunting Knights.

They inflicted massive casualties on nearly a hundred Frost people on the snowy field, with each Demon Hunting Knight causing casualties, and none more so than Dawn Knight Keton, under whose hooves twenty or thirty Frost people fell.

However, a few Demon Hunting Knights who were a step behind failed to break through.

Their warhorses were diverted in their charge due to the fearless attacks of the Frost people, their speed hampered, and they didn’t manage to break out with their comrades.

The outco that t them was self-evident.

They were torn limb from limb by the Frost people, their heads and spines yanked out even the Demon Refining Armor couldn’t stop the pure brute force.

The Frost tribe’s frenzy didn’t even spare the highland warhorses, which were speared to death on the snowy ground.

Yet, when Keton regrouped, he was surprised to find that this ancient tribe hadn’t scattered in terror at the massive casualties and the cavalry’s might, but had instead rallied around their tallest Priest.
