Mo Wen knew that sothing big must have happened in the Fire Domain. He dived into the magma ocean to follow the Giant Crocodile Beast King.
Although the Giant Crocodile Beast King’s figure was huge, its speed was astonishing. After Mo Wen dived into the sea of lava, the silhouette of the Giant Crocodile Beast King was already disappearing from his sight.
The monstrous beasts of the Fire Domain lived in this environnt. In the magma ocean, they were like fish in the water. It was very difficult for human ancient martial art practitioners to keep up with them.
However, Mo Wen was well-versed in tracking techniques. He could sense the aura emanating from the Giant Crocodile Beast King as he trailed behind it. As long as the Giant Crocodile Beast King’s aura continued to be perceptible, he would be able to keep following the creature.
Right now, the Giant Crocodile Beast King was in a hurry, so it was not bothering to hide its aura. This made it much more straightforward for Mo Wen to track it.
They dived deeper into the magma ocean. Mo Wen discovered that the further they descended, the more monstrous beasts they encountered. Large groups of monstrous beasts were heading in the sa direction as them. Almost all of the monstrous beasts had a common destination.
In normal circumstances, the monstrous beasts would treat Mo Wen as prey when they encountered him. Right now, however, it seed as though they had not even seen him. They passed right by him, ignoring him completely.
Mo Wen felt shocked. The destination of these monstrous beasts was obviously the sa as that of the Giant Crocodile Beast King. The number of monstrous beasts kept increasing, all of them heading in the sa direction. In a short amount of ti, tens of thousands of monstrous beasts had gathered to form a wave of beasts. The sight of such an imposing gathering was astonishing.
“I’m afraid sothing big is happening in the Fire Domain.”
Mo Wen was secretly surprised. What could have attracted all the monstrous beasts in the Fire Domain?
anwhile, the group from Gao Clan was making its way through the Fire Domain. It had been three days since they had first encountered Mo Wen.
In the past three days, the mbers of Gao Clan had not been able to locate the whereabouts of the spiritual fire. Instead, they had been blocked by and chased by a few Beast Kings.
Fortunately, there was a Martial Arts Grandmaster among the mbers of Gao Clan, as well as a profound level weapon with terrifying power. For the past few days, although they had encountered danger quite a few tis, they were all still safe and sound.
“Grandfather, the Fire Domain is so big. Finding Mo Wen will most likely not be easy.”
Above the surface of the magma ocean, the group was flying in the air. They made no effort to conceal themselves. A few monstrous beasts poked their heads out of the lava sea, only to subrge imdiately once they detected the aura of the people above them.
Jun Wulei sighed. For these past few days, aside from finding traces of the spiritual fire, another mission that they had was to find Mo Wen.
He had not expected that his own grandfather would disregard all reason and attack Mo Wen. In the end, he had scared Mo Wen away.
In the vast Fire Domain, finding Mo Wen again was easier said than done.
“That brat is as cowardly as a mouse. I was just testing him and had yet to do anything to him. And yet he was scared to the point that he doesn’t dare to show his face.”
Gao Hanshan quietly snorted. He, a dignified Martial Arts Grandmaster, had allowed a youth to escape from him. He considered it a disgrace that he would never be able to erase.
Jun Wulei gave Gao Hanshan a sideways glance. “Grandfather, you, a Martial Arts Grandmaster, bullied him. Can you really accuse Mo Wen of being cowardly?”
“Little brat, if you are looking to be beaten up, just say it.” Gao Hanshan coldly snorted.
Jun Wulei imdiately shrank back, not daring to say anything further.
“Elder brother, Mo Wen is very cunning and is quite capable. If he dares to wander about the Fire Domain alone, he must certainly have so confidence,” Gao Clan’s third elder Gao Zhi said.
The three elders of Gao Clan were all veterans. They were the sa generation as Gao Hanshan, and along with him, were the most important mbers of the clan.
“If even I cannot catch that brat, others will not be able to either. Under normal circumstances, there should not be any problems. What I am afraid is if he encounters the Beast Kings of the Fire Domain or the mysterious group of people that we encountered before this.”
Gao Hanshan’s expression turned serious. Gao Clan did not want to see Mo Wen co to any harm.
“Where did that group of mysterious people co from?” the Gao Clan’s second elder said with a frown, his expression turning serious.
“It’s hard to say where they are from. Their goal is also certainly the spiritual fire. I hope that Mo Wen does not encounter them.” Gao Hanshan shook his head. He had an inkling about who they might be but did not dare to speculate openly. If that group was who he thought they were, things would most likely get troubleso.
The others nodded their heads. The Fire Domain was so large. The chances of Mo Wen encountering those people were slim.
They had been flying on while talking. Suddenly, the entire surface of the magma ocean shook slightly. A beam of blinding light flashed within its depths, like a star releasing its brightest light.
“Presumptuous.” Gao Hanshan quietly snorted. His facial expression stiffened. A jade light flashed in his hands. The Han Imperial Jade Seal imdiately appeared in them.
The next mont, a beam of jade light shot up to the sky, enveloping the group of five Gao Clan mbers inside.
In the jade light, a hideous dark red chain appeared. The chain was as thick as a grown man’s leg and resembled the tail of a giant scorpion. At the end, there was a stinger that was three feet long. Its surface glistened with a dark glow.
The stinger was only a foot away from Jun Wulei. The tip was aid between his eyes. It released a faint blue chilly mist.
Jun Wulei was so terrified he turned as white as a sheet. He forcefully gulped down a mouthful of saliva. If his grandfather hadn’t acted quickly, Jun Wulei would most probably have been killed by the stinger. Everything had happened too quickly; he did not have ti to react at all.
“The Fire Scorpion Beast King!”
The face of the second elder of Gao Clan, who was standing beside Jun Wulei, turned serious. He took a step forward and slamd a palm strike onto the Fire Scorpion’s stinger that was locked in place.
His palm strike was so powerful that even a piece of steel would even be turned to dust. But the Fire Scorpion stinger only shook slightly and then flew back.
“No wonder the Fire Snake King was at a disadvantage against you all last ti. It turns out that you have such a treasure.”
A hoarse voice sounded, gradually reverberating in the surroundings. Then, a huge dark red giant scorpion slowly floated to the surface of the magma ocean. The Giant Scorpion, including its tail, was more than a hundred ters long and tens of ters wide. Its entire body looked slim and refined compared to the other Beast Kings in the Fire Domain. Its hundred-ter long figure was enough to prove that it was a very terrifying king of the mythical beasts. The Fire Scorpion Beast King was ranked amongst the top five of the Fire Domain’s Seven Major Beast Kings.
“You are one deadly scorpion.”
Gao Hanshan’s face was sullen. The Fire Scorpion Beast King’s ambush had been so sudden. If his reaction had been slightly slower, Jun Wulei would most likely have killed. Also, this Fire Scorpion Beast King was very intelligent. It knew to start with the person with the lowest cultivation. If it had ambushed the others, its chances of success would have been lower.
“Human invaders, the Fire Domain is not a place you should have co to. Those of you who dare to covet the spiritual fire will all die.”
The Fire Scorpion Beast King let out a sharp cry. The sound ford a wave and traveled a great distance. After a short while, Fire Scorpions peeked out from the surface of the surrounding sea of lava. Fire Scorpions peeked out. They were packed densely. At first glance, there seed to be an endless number of them.
The Fire Scorpions were a variety of sizes. The smaller ones were just the size of a fist, while the larger ones were tens of ters long. Their cultivation was no weaker than a pinnacle of the Golden Elixir realm human ancient martial art practitioner.
With so many Fire Scorpions surrounding them, the mbers of Gao Clan felt their skin crawl. With so many monstrous beasts, they would not be able to kill them all in a short amount of ti, even if the monstrous beasts just stood there and did not resist.
Fire Scorpions were monstrous beasts who lived in groups in the Fire Domain. They reproduced very rapidly and were collectively ruled by the Fire Scorpion Beast King. Once the Fire Scorpion Beast King summoned the Fire Scorpion army, anyone who encountered it would be in a difficult situation.
“Breakout!”
Gao Hanshan laughed bitterly. It was impossible for them to stay here and slaughter the monstrous beast army. If they did they would be guaranteed to die in this place sooner or later. When faced with such a situation, there was only one possible course of action ꟷ they had to break out.
The Han Imperial Jade Seal in Gao Hanshan’s hand released beams of bright light. The beams of light gathered together and securely enveloped the group.
Then, sothing that Gao Hanshan had not expected occurred. The Fire Scorpion Beast King suddenly let out a long, piercing roar. Its tail suddenly swept out, and it turned to dive into the magma ocean. In the blink of an eye, it had disappeared.
The Fire Scorpions floating on the surface of the magma ocean also dived into the magma ocean one by one. In a short while, they had all retreated.
In a few breaths, the surface of the magma ocean was empty and quiet. The scene from before felt as though it was just an illusion.
“What’s going on?” Gao Hanshan was baffled. Why had the Fire Scorpion Beast King suddenly retreated? He did not believe that he had the ability to scare away such a mythical beast. Sothing else must have happened.
“The Fire Scorpion Beast King seed to be very anxious as it left. Could sothing big have happened?” the Gao Clan third elder asked curiously.
“Sothing must have happened in the Fire Domain. Otherwise, the Fire Scorpion Beast King would not have left so hastily. Could it be related to the spiritual fire?”
“It is very likely to be related to the spiritual fire. If sothing has not happened to the spiritual fire, why would the dignified Beast Kings be so anxious?”
The few mbers of Gao Clan glanced at each other. They all imdiately realized that this matter may be related to the spiritual fire. They had searched for it for many days in the Fire Domain, but they still had not found the whereabouts of the spiritual fire. It was highly possible that others had found the spiritual fire and seeking to obtain it.
“Let us see what’s going on.” Gao Hanshan made a prompt decision. The Han Imperial Jade Seal in his hand released a beam of jade light. The light retracted and bound the five of them together. Then, with Gao Hanshan in the lead, they dived into the magma ocean with a splash.
Mo Wen was still following the Giant Crocodile Beast King’s aura. He did not really need to because countless monstrous beasts were surging towards a deep part of the magma ocean. Mo Wen just had to follow these monstrous beasts.
He was sandwiched in between a large group of monstrous beasts but they continued to ignore him. They paid him no attention even when he overtook them. Right now, all of the monstrous beasts had only one goal in mind, and that was to rush to the depths of the magma ocean.
After had been in the lava sea for approximately an hour and had no idea how deep he was. He was aware that the pressure surrounding him had increased. Even with his cultivation and the strength of his body, it was hard to withstand.
Not far in front of him, he saw sothing different. There was a large Dark Zone. The Dark Zone covered an area that was a few thousand ters square. The monstrous beasts dived into the Dark Zone and imdiately disappeared, as though they had vanished into thin air.
“A Door of Space!” Mo Wen drew in a cold breath. In the Dark Zone, an aura of spatial energy was constantly being emanated. It was a Door of Space that had naturally ford. It was the first ti he had seen such a large Door of Space, and it was deep within the magma ocean.
