Lin Hao’s skill, Lin Shiran had seen it with her own eyes: catching bullets bare-handed, overwhelmingly domineering. Even the Yu Family had to tuck their tails in his presence and behave themselves.
After that day’s event, she thought about asking Lin Hao why he had changed so much, but in the end, like Zhou Ziwei, she didn’t ask.
Having Lin Hao’s abilities was a good thing for them.
But Lin Shiran had never thought about learning them herself.
"Lin Hao, with you protecting , I don’t need to learn those things. My dad says, the greater the skill, the greater the danger one faces," Lin Shiran said with a smile, "and I believe that those martial arts of yours can’t be mastered overnight."
They could be mastered overnight! Lin Hao really wanted to say that, but he didn’t. Lin Shiran’s choice, although surprising, was also within reason.
Because she didn’t understand the Cultivation World.
Lin Hao didn’t want her to beco stronger but wanted her lifespan to be extended, to remain forever young!
For a mont, Lin Hao also didn’t know what to say. Maybe saying too much would make Lin Shiran mistrust him. So things could only be proven over ti.
"If that’s the case, then it’s alright," Lin Hao said with a smile, "Anyway, there’s no hurry now. Yifan, do you have any plans for today? If not, let’s go sing karaoke."
"Speaking of which, I actually do have sothing. It’s my cousin’s birthday tonight; I’m afraid I can’t join you. Next ti, my treat," Chen Yifan said.
"Alright, then I’ll wait for you." Lin Hao replied unreservedly, "Next ti make sure the per-person spend is no less than three hundred, or don’t call ."
"Wow, Lin Ritian, how can you be so ruthless!"
"Alright, alright, stop ssing around," Lin Shiran said with a red face, "I have sothing on tonight too. My dad said he has sothing important to tell , so we should all head ho."
"Okay, let’s listen to Shiran."
Having spent a thousand years in his previous life, almost every day was spent on the move and in cultivation. Lin Hao found these leisurely days especially comfortable.
In the evening, after dinner and notifying Zhou Ziwei, Lin Hao went out.
In his previous life, from the day Chen Yifan died, Lin Hao’s life changed drastically. For a thousand years, he had almost forgotten the easy life of the Mortal World.
Now reborn, everything had changed because of him, and it was worth celebrating.
He walked down a few small streets, following the path from his mory, and quickly arrived at a bustling street.
On both sides of the street, there were bar after bar. He went to the largest and most lively one.
Even before entering, the sound of heavy tal music could be heard booming, and stepping inside was like entering a paradise.
In the crowded dance floor, n and won mixed together, their hormones surging under the stimulation of the heavy tal music, dancing wildly, imrsed in their own world, shaking off the hardships of the day with the sway of their bodies.
The air was filled with the scent of perfu and alcohol, and under the dim lights, n’s hands, salty and improper, road over the beautiful curves on display.
This was the nightlife of the city’s white-collar workers, so different from their days.
"Bring a bottle of whiskey." Lin Hao surveyed everything and soon found a seat with a good view. He ordered a bottle of whiskey and savored it quietly.
His gaze, however, swept over the scantily clad won under the colorful lights.
His eyes held no impure thoughts, rely pure appreciation.
"Peaceful days are so nice," Lin Hao muttered to himself, a charming smile lifting the corners of his mouth.
"Handso, are you alone?" Just then, a woman’s voice reached him.
Lin Hao glanced at her and nodded with a smile.
For a thousand years, he had seen many won more beautiful than Heavenly Immortals. This one paled in comparison to those he had t.
But in the Mortal World, she was definitely top-notch.
Beneath a head of big red waves, her fair face was painted with slightly heavy makeup. Her large eyes and crimson lips were especially alluring.
Such a face, coupled with a uniquely designed top that revealed just the right amount of her alabaster skin, and her red shorts that showed off her straight, well-ford, tantalizing legs, could be considered top-notch.
Under normal circumstances, Lin Hao wouldn’t give her a second glance because, to him, she was just ordinary.
But tonight, on his own and intentionally enjoying the leisure of the Mortal World, he naturally wouldn’t refuse.
"Since you’re alone, could you treat to a couple of drinks?" The woman sat down proficiently, her eyes fixed on Lin Hao.
"Sure," Lin Hao said tersely, "please."
"Thank you."
The woman smiled, poured Lin Hao’s drink into her glass, and drank it in one gulp, followed by another...
She was not at all reserved. The bottle of whiskey was quickly running low.
Lin Hao furrowed his brows slightly.
Was this just a ploy to mooch drinks?
Wasn’t she attracted by his handsoness?
He just watched quietly.
Perhaps feeling his gaze for too long, the woman finally stopped, a drunken blush on her face: "Handso, sorry, I got a bit carried away."
Lin Hao shrugged and snapped his fingers.
"Yes, sir, may I help you?" A waiter quickly approached.
"Another bottle."
"Right away!"
Soon, the waiter brought another bottle and personally mixed the drinks for the two before leaving.
Lin Hao looked up at the woman and remained silent.
It was clear.
Drink if you want.
"Interesting," the woman said with a slight smile, "Handso, what’s your na?"
"Lin Hao, Ritian Hao."
"Lin Hao, Lin Ritian. Quite a nice na." The woman smiled sweetly, "You’re quite interesting."
"You too are quite interesting." Lin Hao shifted his gaze away from her and picked up his drink again, taking a light sip.
"Oh?" she said with a hint of inebriation, "Since we’re both so interesting, how about we do sothing interesting together tonight?"
"Go back," Lin Hao suddenly said, without any apparent reason.
Surprise flashed through the depths of the woman’s eyes, but she hid it well: "Go back? Where to?"
"Go back to where you ca from." Lin Hao still didn’t look at her, his gaze drifting around the dance floor.
"I left ho and have nowhere to return to. Can you take in for the night?" The woman crossed her legs, white as Mutton Fat Jade, graceful in motion.
Lin Hao remained silent, saying nothing. So things are better understood than said aloud—too much talk is unnecessary.
A brief silence fell between the two.
Finally, the woman spoke up: "Handso, do you think I’m not beautiful enough?"
"Yes."
Lin Hao nodded sincerely: "To my eyes, you’re quite ordinary. But that’s just one reason."
"The other, I think there’s no need for to say aloud. You know it in your heart."
