Chapter 1412: Chapter 1412: Humiliation
“Today, I’ll give the Alliance Leader so face and won’t fight you.”
Dongn Yan sat back down on his divine throne again, waiting to watch ng Tianhe make a fool of himself.
ng Tianhe also refrained from fighting back.
He knew well that the leader of the Guangyu Alliance was a benevolent man who had tirelessly labored for his cause these past days, and this face could not be denied.
“Not fighting anymore?”
The Guangyu Alliance leader said, “Let us return to the matter at hand. What do the rest of you think?”
“Alliance Leader, this matter is extrely tricky. It may seem as simple as handing over Bai Yu, but if we yield like that, where would our Guangyu Alliance’s dignity be? Where would our honor remain? Is it possible that the mighty Guangyu Alliance would allow such humiliation at the whim of this Candle Eclipse Yin?”
A woman spoke up at this mont. Her cultivation at the fourth realm was deep, and she was also one of the two deputy leaders of the alliance.
“Indeed, Shui Yun speaks correctly. Arbitrary humiliation? Alliance Leader, to speak candidly, I am furious as well. Life and death are ever-changing, and clashes between great powers have allowed that Candle Eclipse Yin to disregard all decorum and exact vengeance full of oppression. Who among us doesn’t feel enraged?”
Another deputy leader spoke.
“Two deputy leaders, the present dilemma is the issue at hand. If we don’t hand him over, considering Candle Eclipse Yin’s nature, he won’t let this go easily. Should he truly retaliate, what do we have to resist him with? Our strength pales in comparison to his, and only the Alliance Leader has reached the fifth realm.”
A Heavenly Dao deity expressed concern.
“Hmph! Then we fight! Are we really afraid of them? Although Guangyu Alliance falls short of his Duer Heaven, we still have dozens of Heavenly Dao deities among us. If we join forces, even if Duer Heaven retaliates, they will have to pay the price!”
This deputy leader had a fiery temper.
“Direct combat is one thing, but don’t forget one crucial point,”
A Heavenly Dao deity voiced their greatest concern: “Candle Eclipse Yin is insidiously cold and poisonously vicious. He cares nothing for decorum. What if he specifically targets us in retaliation? Could we afford to remain gathered together at all tis? His foundation lies in Duer Heaven, and we cannot counterattack.”
The atmosphere suddenly grew heavy with silence.
This was what they feared most.
The weaker Heavenly Dao deities could never match him.
Duer Heaven would never mobilize massive forces of Heavenly Dao deities over such a minor dispute.
But Candle Eclipse Yin was capable of anything. If he decided to target you specifically, there would be no recourse.
“I’ve contacted Candle Eclipse Yin already, but it was of no use. He insists on Bai Yu’s death as the price for him willing to relent,”
The Guangyu Alliance leader conceded helplessly.
He absolutely could not suggest handing Bai Yu over.
This alliance was ford and all these Heavenly Dao deities gathered not for power but for self-preservation against oppressive forces like the Thirty-Three Heavens.
If Bai Yu were handed over, the unity of the alliance would likely crumble.
“Candle Eclipse Yin is detestable!” The deputy leader said angrily. “He has no regard for honor. I believe that demanding Bai Yu’s death is secondary; what he truly wants is to satisfy his twisted and warped nature, deliberately throwing our Guangyu Alliance into chaos. His heart deserves condemnation!”
Heavenly Dao deities who have lived too long often find their psyches distorted, and Candle Eclipse Yin is one such individual.
“There is only one solution,”
Shui Yun spoke, “Tianhe, you understand the alliance’s plight. We are unafraid of Candle Eclipse Yin’s direct retaliation; it’s the covert attacks we fear. The only option now is for you to go into hiding, make it impossible for Candle Eclipse Yin to find you. Perhaps in the passage of ti, he might forget.”
“Yes, hide away.”
“This is the only option!”
“The multiversal realms contain too many secret places. To find a single Heavenly Dao deity, even Candle Eclipse Yin would struggle.”
The group of Heavenly Dao deities voiced their consensus, agreeing it was the best path forward. They could provide resources to support ng Tianhe, but they dared not risk offending Candle Eclipse Yin by fighting for him.
“In reality, you might not need to hide for too long,”
The Guangyu Alliance leader added, “You see, the ancient master of Origin Heaven has reerged in the multiversal realm and will surely go after Duer Heaven. Moreover, the Divine Martial Dynasty is developing at an extraordinary pace. With this trajectory, a decisive battle is inevitable. Once that comnces, Candle Eclipse Yin won’t have ti to bother with you.”
“Hide away?”
ng Tianhe felt stifled.
“Fine, I will hide.”
ng Tianhe made his concession.
This ti, even though he had invited the Divine Martial Emperor to assist, he understood that unless the situation turned absolutely catastrophic, he could not ask the Divine Martial Emperor to risk his life for him.
“Think you can hide? Do you think you’re capable of hiding?”
Just then, an overwhelmingly chilling aura emanated from outside the Guangyu Alliance. Over ten Heavenly Dao deities suddenly descended within the alliance’s domain.
Candle Eclipse Yin appeared, clad in a gray robe, with a dry, emaciated fra and eyes glinting with frosty malice.
He stared at ng Tianhe and imdiately unleashed the pressure of a fifth-realm Heavenly Dao deity, speaking in a frigid tone: “This seat has little patience and no intention of wasting ti playing gas with you.”
His bony, claw-like fingers twitched, with long, curved nails like sharp talons.
“Brother Candle Eclipse, your esteed arrival is my great honor,”
The Guangyu Alliance leader quickly tried to diate, his face carrying a placating smile, though inwardly he had cursed Candle Eclipse Yin countless tis. Clearly, Candle Eclipse Yin had been lingering within the Alliance’s territory for so ti.
“You aim to let him escape sowhere?”
Candle Eclipse Yin showed no inclination to give the Guangyu Alliance leader any face, nor did he care.
Receiving such blatant disrespect, the Alliance leader’s smile stiffened, and his tone turned increasingly grave. “Brother Candle Eclipse, there’s a saying: spare others when you can. Don’t corner people with no way out. Tianhe can formally apologize to you.”
“Want to spare him? Sure,” Candle Eclipse Yin sneered. “ng Tianhe, kneel, perform the three prostrations and nine kowtows to , then personally kill your disciple. If you do this, this seat might consider letting it go.”
Candle Eclipse Yin’s twisted psyche was on full display.
Not only did he demand ng Tianhe kneel, but he also wanted him to kill his own disciple.
“You!”
ng Tianhe trembled violently, his fists clenched tightly. As an esteed Heavenly Dao deity, never before had he suffered such indescribable humiliation.
The strong figures of the Guangyu Alliance also looked visibly uncomfortable.
Not only was Candle Eclipse Yin humiliating ng Tianhe, but he was also humiliating all of them in the process.
“It seems you’re unwilling to comply.”
Candle Eclipse Yin relished the anger and helplessness of others.
“Candle Eclipse Yin, you’ve gone too far!” snarled the deputy leader. “This is the Guangyu Alliance’s domain!”
“This seat intends to humiliate him, and what of it? What can you do to ?”
Candle Eclipse Yin replied nonchalantly. “What, are you Guangyu Alliance intending to join forces against this seat? How amusing. Clearly, you have yet to witness my thods.”
His overtly insulting manner enraged the Guangyu Alliance’s experts, but they were unable to act. They could only swallow their bitterness and endure.
“Must it co to this?” asked the Guangyu Alliance Leader.
“You’ve made this seat wait too long.”
But Candle Eclipse Yin disregarded the Alliance leader entirely. “Originally, handing over that woman would have sufficed, but your foolish actions have forfeited this opportunity. At first, kneeling and killing your disciple could have settled it, yet you’ve forfeited that as well. Now this seat has a new idea—your life is forfeit.”
He openly announced his intent to slay ng Tianhe within the Guangyu Alliance, leaving no room for retreat.
His frosty gaze swept across the room. “Let see who dares step forward and assist him. This seat’s will is not sothing you can resist. Whoever intervenes shall share the sa fate as ng Tianhe.”
He intentionally sought to humiliate ng Tianhe and the entire Guangyu Alliance, striving to satisfy his distorted mind.
