Chapter 43: Chapter 43: Get Out Chapter 43: Chapter 43: Get Out As the words fell, a “beep” sounded, and the door to the operating room opened.
“Doctor, how is my son doing?” Mrs. Han rushed over first, her voice hoarse and trembling.
The doctor, removing his mask, said, “The patient is still in a coma, but he’s no longer in critical condition. However, due to the impact to his brain, there’s been bleeding within the skull, which might cause a concussion and slight mory loss.”
At these words, Mrs. Han was montarily stunned, then she burst into tears of joy and hugged the doctor tightly, “I’m so grateful, as long as he’s not in danger.”
Hearing this, Xinan also breathed a sigh of relief.
Seeing Xinan covered in blood, Ran Shasha said, “Nannan, Ji Bai is out of danger now. You should go ho and rest.”
“Okay, will do.”
Since it was already late at night, only a few cars occasionally passed by the hospital entrance, either private cars or taxis already carrying passengers.
Xinan waited for half an hour before she finally saw an empty taxi.
“Master, to Luming Academy.”
Throughout the ride, Xinan was dazed, unsure if Cheng Yi was ho; she felt really sorry about tonight’s events.
The driver slowly stopped the car at the entrance of the residential area, and Xinan paid the fare before getting out of the car.
Standing in front of the villa, Xinan hesitated for a mont before taking a deep breath and pressing down the door handle.
With a “click,” the door opened.
The house was pitch-dark, the curtains fluttered slightly with the breeze.
Cheng Yi indeed hadn’t co back…

After “It’s You” wrapped up, Lin Wei had been busy with graduation matters. The school had organized a photo shoot for graduation today, and from tomorrow on, she would officially be graduated.
To celebrate their graduation, her roommates decided to go out tonight.
During her four years at university, Lin Wei had never attended a dorm gathering. Today was her first and last ti.
Since it was a rare get-together, everyone had decided not to return to school today. After dinner, her roommates planned to go singing and didn’t disperse until midnight.
Just as everyone was about to look for a hotel, Lin Wei noticed soone on the opposite side of the road.
He was bending over, vomiting, with a bottle of liquor in his hand.
“Weiwei, what are you looking at?” Her roommates, noticing her distraction, asked with curiosity.
Lin Wei averted her gaze and told her roommates, “Nothing, you guys go ahead. I just rembered that I left sothing at the KTV. I need to go back and get it; just send the address later.”
“Alright then.”
As her roommates walked away, Lin Wei slowly made her way across the street to the man’s side, anwhile pulling out a tissue and offering it to him, “Are you okay?”
Cheng Yi slowly lifted his head, his gaze unfocused as he stared at the familiar yet strange face in front of him, his voice hoarse, “It’s you…”
As he spoke, he slowly straightened up but swayed unsteadily.
Seeing this, Lin Wei quickly supported him, “Mr. Yi, you’re drunk.”
“It’s okay,” Cheng Yi shook his head and took another sip of liquor.
As Cheng Yi tipped his head back, Lin Wei could just see his bobbing Adam’s apple and the hint of muscle visible at the slightly open collar of his shirt, sexy and captivating.
Lin Wei couldn’t help but be a bit srized…
But at the sa ti, she noticed that Cheng Yi was very different from usual today.
Lin Weiwei could clearly feel the indifferent and aloof aura emanating from him.
Shortly after drinking, Cheng Yi bent over and began to vomit again, as if he wished to expel his entire stomach.
Lin Wei gently patted his back and quickly handed him a tissue, asking with concern, “Are you okay?”
Cheng Yi took the tissue and murmured a low thank you.
Seeing that Cheng Yi was unsteady on his feet, Lin Wei dared not leave him alone by the roadside, so she supported him to a nearby hotel.
When the receptionist asked her what type of room to book, Lin Wei chose the best one available—the presidential suite.
That one night cost her an entire month’s salary.
But Lin Wei did not feel a pinch of regret, for Cheng Yi deserved it; soone like him should have the best.
Lin Wei helped Cheng Yi into bed and covered him with a blanket, and he soon fell asleep.
It was her first ti seeing Cheng Yi like this, without his cold expression or distant air.
At that mont, he resembled a calm ocean, giving a comforting and reassuring feeling.
His eyelashes were dense, casting a fan-shaped shadow on his face under the light.
Watching the sleeping man, a complex emotion suddenly surged in Lin Wei’s eyes.
Cheng Yi was right beside her, within reach if only she extended her hand.
A voice inside Lin Wei scread, telling her that tonight was a perfect opportunity; if she missed it, Cheng Yi might soon forget her.
Struggle flickered in Lin Wei’s eyes; she had never liked a man this much before, nor would she ever et soone like him again.
Throughout her life, she had never fought for herself; now, she wanted to fight for herself just this once.
Then she leaned down and slowly moved closer to Cheng Yi.
His cheek drew ever closer to her.
Lin Wei could even sll the faint scent of alcohol and his body fragrance.
A blush unconsciously spread across her face, but just as her lips were about to touch his pale cheek,
“What are you doing?” a stern voice sounded at that mont.
Lin Wei imdiately froze, only to see that Cheng Yi had opened his eyes and was looking at her, his deep and beautiful eyes now filled with endless coldness.
“I…” Lin Wei was at a loss for words.
“Get out,” Cheng Yi said coldly.
Lin Wei bit her lips, hesitated, and, unwilling to leave, tried to speak again, only to hear his cold voice ring out once more, “I said, get out!”
At that mont, Lin Wei felt imnsely humiliated and aggrieved, and imdiately ran out.
Cheng Yi rubbed his brow, feeling irritable.
Although his head felt like it was about to explode, he was not drunk and was fully conscious.
From a young age, he was extrely sensitive to his surroundings; he would wake up imdiately if anyone approached, no matter how deeply he was sleeping.
Actually, he had woken up before Lin Wei even got close to him, but his head ached so much that he simply didn’t bother to open his eyes.
Lin Wei went to the room next door and, upon closing the door, leaned against it and squatted down, tears streaming down her cheeks.
She hadn’t expected Cheng Yi to be so ruthless as to tell her to leave.
He might think she was that kind of self-disrespecting and shaless woman.
Thinking this, Lin Wei clenched her fists tightly, her nails digging deep into her flesh, causing her to shiver in pain.
