----I got uber sick, so I'm a little lost on where I left off. If corrections are needed for this Chapter point them out.-----

I had done everything that was needed in Riften. I tried to find Canary before we left, but with no idea where she was I simply left a note at the Bee and Barb. Before leaving though Hano had sent off with a letter addressed to the Greybeards. It was the one that would supposedly convince them in gathering the players. Hano would also send different letters to the players he feels might agree to an alliance.

I didn't like the word, too many stories began and ended with an alliance being disbanded or betrayed. Viree called it paranoia, but I wasn't wrong in the assessnt. With no quests that didn't require a wait tir and all my other activities tied up in similar ti tables. I was left with ti to finally travel to high Hrothgar to learn more about the voice.

I wanted to use it! One of the many reasons I picked Alteration was due to its synergy with the Thu'um! Slow Ti was the perfect example. Viree spoke, "You aren't making more insane scribbles again are you?"

She was referring to the lexicon. I rolled my eyes, but Illia responded. "Nah, instead of insane scribbles, he is reading them."

I pointed, "It's Dovahzul and morization is an important piece of the puzzle that is comprehension."

Viree laughed, "Well, just over this bridge is Ivarstead."

I looked up, "Already?" Normally I always got lost on the way to Ivarstead, too many wrong turns. Viree slowed the carriage and I observed the town. Bigger than Riverwood, smaller than Helgen was.

I jumped off the carriage before Viree parked it. My eyes lingered on two horses. It seems Stephan managed to clear through the companions storyline. I called out, "Hurry up! We got a mountian to climb and I don't find it particularly fun staring at said mountian."

Illia looked at , and turned toward the throat of the world. "You want us... to climb that?"

Viree patted Illia's shoulder, "I know! Fun, right?"

Viree's words had sarcasm in them. When she t my eyes she looked away whistling. I rolled my eyes and moved toward the Inn. Just as we entered, soone called out to . "Vek! Over here!"

I joined Stephan and Kyne at a dium sized table. I looked at Illia, "Could you pay Wilhelm to take care of Philip while we climb the mountain."

Stephan pointed and nodded, "Good idea! and Kyne asked Wilhelm to take care of our horses too. Philip is a horse right?"

Illia nodded and wandered away. "So how far are you too?"

Kyne shrugged, but Stephan had a better response. "Main quest or Companions?"

Viree was the one who corrected their mistaken thoughts. "He ans power, one of you levels up through skill trees and the other eats dragon souls and learns magic shouts from rock walls."

I pointed at Viree indicating she was right in what I was asking. Kyne held up four fingers, so they killed four dragons? While Stephan looked surprised and he whispered. "She knows?"

Viree nodded, "Yes, and I can hear you. Are you sure he is useful?"

Kyne made a maybe gesture, while I sighed. "Stephan, what level are you, and skills?"

Stephan nodded, "Right, Right! I am level 47 and I mostly went down one-handed and blocking as I picked up a shield. Oh, and Kyne is level 51."

Level 47 and 51, wait level 51? "How did you check Kyne's level?"

Kyne opened his mouth ever so slightly. "One day, when I was sleeping I woke up in a starry dream. I could see what looked to be the skill trees Stephan once described to . However in the very highest point of the sky was my level. Which was level 51 when I last had that dream."

Fascinating! So perhaps Viree could see her level? Hmm, actually this does open a terrifying possibility though. Is the dreamscape triggered in NPCs through proximity and ti? or through so more enlightennt based. I buried this train of thought as it could send spiraling.

I got back on topic. "Those are decent levels, however truth be told I think you may need to be stronger."

Stephan paused, "Why do we need to be so strong? Kyne has ntioned he feels we need to get stronger too. For him though, it is just a feeling."

I looked at the dragonborn and nodded, "His destiny, Kyne's destiny is era defining. The only other thing that truly matches the level of literal hell's storm that Kyne is related to. Is happening on the other end of the world. I won't and I don't think I should tell you more than that. So you two just have to trust on this."

Stephan raised an eyebrow, "What's the other era defining thing? If we are stuck to one, does that an the other has its own..." Stephan's eyes wandered to Kyne to try to put his thoughts to words.

I finished his thoughts, "The main characters? Yes that event has its own. Thank fuck we aren't dealing with that by the way. The Infernal City is a scary place and not one anyone wants to linger in. Though it is technically a solved problem."

Viree interrupted the conversation, "Vek? I gotta ask, if you are putting in this work to help them. Why not solve the problem yourself and just carry them to victory? I an, surely you could?"

Kyne shook his head, "Destiny... No god hold control over it. Yet many try to manipulate it. Stephan is tied to through a quest. This quest is a piece of my destiny. Vek doesn't intervene, because if he does."

Viree frowned, "I don't like conversations between players."

Stephan raised a point, "Kyne isn't a player."

Stephan's point ant nothing to Viree though. "I hate you now specifically."

Stephan looked at , "On a completely different note, any suggestions of what we should do? If you think we should get stronger, any suggestions on how?"

I nodded, "You asking what to do after eting the Greybeards. The answer is sowhat simple..." I took out Vokun. I never included the mask in my docunted items. As I figured I would need to hand this over to soone eventually.

"You go hunting down dragon priests. Collecting all 8 masks you can get a 9th of sorts. The 9th will be a powerful tool, but just killing the priests will give massive experience. If you want the locations of the priests, I know them, but you gotta pay for them."

Stephan took out a note pad and began writing what I was saying down. "What of the companions?"

I nodded, "Not a bad idea to finish that quest chain up. However, I suggest killing a few priests first. I don't know how dangerous that will get so adding so shouts to Kyne's arsenal might not be a bad idea. At so point though, I suggest you two head to the Dawnguard. t a player there, he should be able to help Kyne acquire so extra shouts as well. Specifically ask him about Durnehviir, he should be able to figure it out."

Stephan paused, "Another player?"

I nodded, "Ri'Hano'do, a green khajiit. I won't tell you more than he might be useful in helping Kyne. The guy is... depressed, you have to et him to know what I an. Just saying depressed doesn't really do it justice. Which brings to the subject of other players."

The do-gooder duo leaned in slightly. It seems this was a subject that interested them. "I'm going to try and get the greybeards to create a gathering of our kind. Hano is in, mostly out of boredom. However you two have so serious mud in your boots. When the ti cos, I think only Stephan should co. Is that fine?"

Stephan looked at his friend and nodded. Kyne gave a nod in return and spoke to . "That's fine. I assu you have a date and a suggestion for ?"

"You will need an elderscroll, I got a bad feeling about the one you have to collect." I pulled out my map, "This place, Septimus Signus, do what that man needs. Hermaeus Mora, the daedric god will likely provide you the rest. I'm telling you this now. He wants your soul Kyne, he wants to use you. Once you complete this task, you will likely be approached by cultists in the city you frequent the most. Kill them, kill them before they ever et Stephan."

The two looked confused, but Viree who was crunching on bread picked up where I left off. "The daedric prince is likely the one who tips them off."

I pointed, "Hermaeus Mora will likely know about Stephan. Almost all the daedric gods seem to know about . So w-"

Viree cut off, "He wants the artifact that this Septimus Signus man is likely digging up."

i slapped her and continued, "I do, but this helps you. I'll buy the relic off you, and hopefully, what I plan to do with the book will pull Hermaeus Mora's attention away from Stephan. Hermaeus Mora wants Kyne's soul, and while Stephan may be a player."

Stephan understood my point. "I won't be the more interesting player. He will want to you, rather than . The dragonborn's sidekick, that's how you are spinning it to a god."

I nodded, "Y'all are fucked. Which is one of the many reasons I don't want to interfere. However I do like the idea of curbing fate."

Kyne nodded, "This is why you want to do this without Stephan. Sothing you don't want to tell us, but sothing you need to, because you aren't likely to et again for a long while."

I nodded, "Yup, our adventure up to High Hrothgar is likely the last ti we et Kyne. At least until you fulfill your destiny in skyrim. Before we part, I still have stuff to tell you. This is just the stuff you two need to think about while you two have the ability to ask questions."

Viree waved at Illia as she walked over with a platter of food. "I would hate to be you two."

Stephan frowned, "I think I agree with you. The more I hear, the more I think I am going to grow new scars, both the physical and ntal kind."

Kyne nodded, "It is a large weight on our shoulders, but we will survive it."
