"Let tell you sothing, it’s..."
Just as Ava started to speak, she stopped, glanced at the driver, and pressed a button on the armrest, raising the partition.
Within seconds, the backseat was isolated from the front.
Ava continued, "We need to discuss sothing."
Poe followed her lead, his eyes fixed on her face, sensing she had sothing important to say.
He stayed silent, waiting for her to continue.
Ava wasn’t one to beat around the bush. Although this was a bit embarrassing, they’d been honest with each other for a while now, so what’s there to fear?
No fear.
Seeing him focused on her and ready to listen, she directly said, "Regarding our sex life, we need to be more restrained. Being this uncontrolled is not good."
"It’s bad for your health, bad for my health, and even worse for our work."
"So, I’ve thought it through: either two hours a day, except during my monthly cycle, which I’m fine with; or five days a week with two days off, with a maximum of three hours; or three days a week, we choose the days we have more ti and go all out, the other four days rest. What do you think?"
Ava really said it straightforwardly, without even blushing or her heart racing.
Especially when she finished talking, she looked at Poe, her eyes unwavering.
Poe’s aura fell silent.
The atmosphere inside the car was equally silent.
Suddenly, the car quieted down with not a sound to be heard.
Ava didn’t feel the change in the car’s mood because her entire attention was on Poe’s face, wanting to see his expression, his eyes, his thoughts, his opinions.
Then, Ava distinctly saw Poe’s eyes go silent, as if suddenly hushed without a trace of life.
She blinked, unsure of what this change ant, and when he didn’t respond after a while, she frowned and urged, "Speak up, why are you just staring at ?"
"My suggestions are for our own good; excessive lust is harmful. Surely you know this?"
"Choose one of the three suggestions I made, and we’ll follow that in the future."
"Of course, if you’re on a business trip, or I’m on one, or we’re apart for so reason, we’ll adjust accordingly or just rest."
"This sort of thing doesn’t need to be calculated that precisely, as long as it’s manageable."
Upon hearing this, Poe turned his gaze, leaned back in the seat, and closed his eyes.
Ava saw him not answering and even closing his eyes; what does that an?
Is he disagreeing?
If he disagrees, he should say so; what does this count for?
She grabbed Poe’s hand and shook it, needing him to reply.
But just as Ava’s hand touched his arm, his deep voice sounded in her ear, "Every day."
Uh...
Ava stopped shaking his hand.
Every day?
Does he an two hours every day?
Definitely, the man is brimming with energy in this regard; he wouldn’t want to rest.
"Alright, then every day, two hours, we’ve agreed."
Ava withdrew her hand, crossed her arms, raised her chin, "Once agreed, it’s set, and there should be no changes or regrets. We both need to have a contractual spirit, especially soone with your status must an what they say."
Ava was quite worried that Poe might change his mind, worried about this matter more than anything else.
Because when it cos to this topic, he seems to beco a different person, which is very frightening.
Poe remained silent, seemingly asleep.
But Ava knew he wasn’t sleeping; this is how he acted when he didn’t want to respond to her.
However, given that he’s already said this, she should trust it; otherwise, he wouldn’t have responded to her at all.
Upon this realization, Ava felt relieved, her face relaxing into a serene smile.
That’s how it should be; balancing work and rest is good for the body.
She’s very protective of her health.
The Kestrel Apartnts aren’t far from the company, and soon the car arrived. Ava had only slept a few brief hours last night and wasn’t feeling very energized; after agreeing with Poe, she yawned and dozed off a bit.
By the ti the car reached its destination, she was already awake.
Rubbing her eyes to make herself more alert, Ava picked up her bag and said, "I’m off, call if you need anything."
With that, she opened the car door and got out.
Shortly after, the car door closed.
Poe’s eyes had opened long ago, fixating on Ava as she slept nestled against him.
Now awake, she left directly without saying anything, watching her get out, enter the company, and her silhouette vanish from sight, he spoke, "Back to the company."
"Yes."
The car drove away.
Lauren Howell had been waiting at the office early because the ssage she sent to Ava yesterday hadn’t been replied to, and after calling Silas Donovan to confirm Ava was alright, she felt assured.
However, she needed to discuss the acting matter with Ava; Ava hadn’t seen the ssage, so she could only talk to her face to face.
She knew Ava would be coming in today, so she arrived early to wait at the office.
"Ava!"
Seeing Ava walk in, Lauren Howell imdiately ran over, her face full of joy.
She appeared as if she’d encountered a great delight.
No mistake, she had just seen Ava step out of a very luxurious car, she instantly knew Ava was with that prominent Vaughn Family figure.
Not being able to reach her is perfectly normal.
Ava saw Lauren looking directly at her, especially given her expression, her smile, brimming with gossip; Ava frowned, "What’s up?"
Ava didn’t break her pace, heading towards the elevators.
Lauren Howell grinned, without asking how Ava was getting along with the big shot of Celestial Holdings, instead she said directly, "The ssage I sent to you yesterday, did you not see?"
"ssage?"
Ava furrowed her brow, then rembered sothing, picked up her phone, and indeed there were unread ssages.
She had noticed them last night but hadn’t opened them due to other matters. She knew soone had sent her ssages, but with various things happening later, she completely forgot.
Lauren Howell: [Ava, do you have ti now? I want to talk to you about so filming matters?]
This ssage was sent by Lauren Howell yesterday afternoon, which Ava hadn’t opened to read.
Now seeing it, Ava said directly, "Tell now."
After speaking, Ava checked the ti; since she was staying at The Kestrel Apartnts last night, not the Green Mountain Villa, it’s only half-past eight now with half an hour left.
Enough ti for Lauren Howell to explain.
Lauren Howell noticed Ava’s expression and understood she was in a good mood, making it an excellent ti to discuss work.
As they reached the elevator, Lauren Howell imdiately pressed the up button; the elevator doors opened, and Ava entered.
Lauren Howell followed her inside.
"Ava, here’s the thing, I’ve already detailed the plan regarding all aspects of filming, and I’ll give you a brief overview now." As soon as they entered the elevator, Lauren Howell spoke up.
Ava crossed her arms, watched the elevator, and looked serious, "Go ahead."
She’s very ticulous in her work, exceedingly sincere in this respect.
Lauren Howell nodded, equally solemn, "Now the filming is divided into two parts: one part is on your side, and the other is on Director Donovan’s side."
"On your side, all you need to do is learn acting, dedicate ti to honing your skills. This part will take approximately several months."
Ava frowned, "Several months?"
She looked at Lauren Howell, "How many months exactly?"
