The rain is still falling.

Winster University.

Ti rewinds ten minutes earlier.

Gustav's research lab.

The slimy, deford monsters had already infiltrated the room scattered with all sorts of papers and ancient tos.

A strong stench of fishiness instantly filled the air.

Yet Gustav remained focused on his work, rely sniffing lightly at the discomforting odor, without any further reaction.

Just as he turned another page, writing a new word.

Two monsters had already crept up behind him, their razor-sharp claws poised to impale him from both sides, bringing a violent gust with them.

This was supposed to be an unsurprising assassination; after all, Gustav was rely a scholar who had long sheltered himself in the lab, likely panting after a few steps.

But in the next mont.

Gustav seed to finally notice sothing; his eyebrows twitched as the words on his page, along with those scattered in the lab, seed to co alive, all surfacing to form layers of barriers that shielded him, causing the monsters' attacks to fail, colliding with the barriers with a muffled tallic clash.

It was then that Gustav finally reacted.

Looking at the two grotesque monsters behind him, he showed an expression of terror, completely baffled by the barrier that appeared around him.

But as the monsters attempted to pounce again, in a mont of panic, he threw his pen.

As soon as the pen left his hand, it triggered the pages and books in the room to vibrate, shooting out a large number of words that adhered to the pen.

The pen transford into a giant sword, slicing the two monsters in half in an instant.

Gustav was slightly stunned.

He looked at his hand and then at the lifeless creatures.

He seed to understand a bit.

It was as if he...

Possessed unimaginable power.

At this mont, his expression shifted, as if hearing sothing. Then, with a wave of his hand, the papers on the ground quickly condensed into a flying carpet, onto which he stepped, flying out of the lab into the open air.

His speed was swift, reaching the spot where people were gathered after today's heavy rain at Winster University in an instant.

By then, the slaughter had already begun.

Those who had transford into monsters were wantonly hunting students and faculty.

Gustav lowered his flying carpet, and with a sweep of his hands, words flew from the carpet, transforming into flas, blades, or shadows that intercepted and clashed with the monsters continuously.

In no ti, the chaos was resolved.

When Gustav soared back into the sky, overlooking the scene, there were no more monsters on the ground, and even a few shadow-ford soldiers awaited his command.

He was sowhat confused about his ability; he simply had a subconscious desire to save these people.

The people on the ground were either crying tears of joy, or sobbing, and soone recognized him, calling out to him, "Is it... Professor Gustav? Great, you're here."

The speaker, naturally, was El.

In fact, Gustav usually kept to himself, and not many at the university knew him.

Seeing a familiar face, Gustav hurriedly descended with his flying carpet and asked a bit bewildered, "El, what happened here?"

"I... I don't know either."

El was nearly in tears, truly not understanding why his tenure as headmaster was so fraught with disasters; the unsuccessful anniversary was one thing, but now so many people had died.

He felt his life was hopeless.

"Where is Ethan?" Gustav asked again.

Among the few he knew, Ethan was the most familiar; he heard Ethan was here today, so where was he?

"Ethan went back to the city…" El hesitated, if the university had beco like this, what could the city be like?

El dared not imagine.

Gustav gazed toward the city, as if he saw sothing.

anwhile.

In the sewers.

The light and bullets erupted simultaneously, just as Sandro lost his focus.

The light successfully engulfed the surging waves, surrounding Sandro, while the bullet targeted Sandro's head.

At such close range, the shot would undoubtedly have even greater power.

The light flickered montarily.

Ethan seized this opportunity, charging into the core battle zone.

His thoughts were simple; he had already seen Sandro's strength, understanding that even being attacked by Saint Kuanti's power combined with close-range sniping, it was hard to kill him.

So, he planned to use his last resort.

Using the dual divine power of the King of the Beihai and Sea God Isis, utilizing positioning to suppress him.

But as the light fell, Ethan witnessed this sight.

A heavy, thick bullet was lodged hard into Sandro's temple, unable to penetrate his skull.

He turned with a smile to Ethan, saying, "I told you, the gun is good, but useless against now."

"Ethan, what do you plan to do, try that move again?"

Although Sandro asked, his tone clearly conveyed that he saw through everything.

anwhile, Heisenberg and Marvin could only attack again after realizing the situation.

But Sandro no longer paid attention to them; he only looked at Ethan, saying another sentence, "Listen… to the call of the sea."

The next mont.

Calling.

Ca rushing like a tide.

It wasn't a single person's call; it was many people together reciting ancient words.

This call ca from the ground, from everyone in Winstri who had once been eroded by the rain, no matter where they were now, all fell to their knees, monsters included.

Even those who were fighting monts ago fell prostrate, devoutly calling in one direction.

It was like a prayer, or a hymn, seemingly to welco the return of so great existence with words.

This call impacted Heisenberg, Marvin, Joseph, Ethan, and even Anya in the darkness greatly.

They could do nothing else, only be overwheld by this call.

Even Ethan, his "True God's Na," couldn't exert its power this ti.

He felt innurable voices overrun every cell of his body.

"Ethan, I told you, no need to struggle, joining is the best choice."

Sandro lifted Ethan, slowly placing him at the very center of the array.
