C4 – Your Honor

The viewers in the live stream were initially in the dark about Zhao Su’s intentions.

After eavesdropping on the phone call, it dawned on them that he was there for a blind date.

“Does a wealthy guy like the Host really need to go on blind dates?”

“The Host’s relative is incredibly overbearing!”

“What’s the big deal about being five minutes late? He was held up helping soone out. It’s not like it was intentional. Is there any need to be so impatient? Is your daughter so kind of celestial being?”

“Is she even as pretty as my daughter?”

“Just wait for the Host to turn the situation around and make her feel awkward!”

The viewers were fuming with indignation. Clearly, this woman had no respect for the Host!

Zhao Su had just reached room 203.

As he opened the door, he saw a room full of people.

At the head of the table sat a portly man in a well-pressed suit, haughtily smoking a cigarette. This had to be the so-called Manager Huang.

A few flashy young n and won were seated next to him.

Then he saw his mother, placed near the door on a small, round stool that was much lower than the other chairs.

His cousin’s aunt had taken her contempt for his mother to the extre, and Zhao Su’s eyes turned frosty.

“Su, you’ve arrived. Co, have a seat.”

Zhao Su’s mother got up to welco him, her steps faltering.

His heart clenched. His mother had worked hard all her life, enduring a painful leg ailnt without complaint due to their ager household inco. She had always borne the pain without seeking dical attention.

Now, for the sake of her son’s future marriage, she was seated in this humiliating spot and said nothing.

Zhao Su sneered inwardly; he had no intention of letting those who disrespected his mother get away with it.

“Zhao Su, what gives you the right to be so arrogant? You’re my relative, and you’re only here at my dinner out of my generosity. You have no manners!” his cousin’s aunt said sarcastically.

She didn’t give Zhao Su and his mother the slightest bit of respect.

After her comnt, the rest of the group laughed derisively.

A woman with curly hair glanced disdainfully at Zhao Su and said, “Zhao Su, you might not want to hear this, but everyone seated here earns over 5,000 yuan a month, they’re all high-inco successes! Manager Huang even makes over 10,000 yuan a month! How about you? Do you even make 2,000?”

She is Yuanyuan, the daughter of my cousin’s aunt, and she works as a secretary for a company manager.

Her makeup is striking, featuring bold red lips and dramatically curled false eyelashes!

Manager Huang wore an expression of restrained pride. He had managed to buy a Volkswagen Touareg, a business-class vehicle worth more than 200,000 yuan, in just two years!

After Yuanyuan’s comnt, a young man added, “Look at the cheap clothes he’s wearing. I’d be surprised if his salary is even 1,500 yuan a month!”

“Perhaps it’s 1,800 yuan!”

“Let’s drop it. Co work for tomorrow, cleaning toilets. I’ll pay you 2,500 yuan a month, as a favor to Yuanyuan,” Manager Huang offered from his seat.

“This is an excellent opportunity, Zhao Su. You should seize it. Manager Huang doesn’t often give young people a chance,” his cousin’s aunt chid in.

Hearing this, his mother looked pained.

Zhao Su then said, “Such a low salary is hardly tempting. If it weren’t for my mother, I wouldn’t have bothered coming.”

His cousin’s aunt snapped back angrily, “What are you saying? It’s a privilege to dine with so many successful people. You could learn so much about the world. I’m very disappointed to hear you speak like this!”
