William and the Demon clashed several tis in quick succession, forcing William to burn through his Mana Reserves at an incredible pace. He had opened the Ti, Space, Chaos, Illusion, and Gravity Domains, yet the Demon was still able to locate him accurately and even attack despite all the stacked slowness effects.
The only consolation was that its speed had been reduced to the middle stages of the Golden Core Realm while inside the Domains, so William was able to dodge it for the ti being as long as he watched out for the Lightning Bolts from its horns.
Or so he thought.
Seeing that it could no longer keep up with William and it couldn't approach without taking damage from his Domains, the Demon's eyes glowed bright red as a laser in the Tribulation Transcendence Realm blasted through William's combined Domains and destroyed the remainder of his right shoulder.
If he hadn't seen this type of attack before and the Chaos Barrier hadn't diverted the laser in ti, William probably would have died right then and there.
System, how much ti?
-Fifty seconds or so.
It's only been ten seconds?!? Fuck!
William danced left and right to avoid any further lasers, opening his remaining Domains to defend with full strength. Since Blood Magic was the Demon's other weakness, William used the Blood Domain to slow down the rate at which the Demon's body regathered, saving precious seconds of ti.
From four thousand to three thousand and eventually to just a few hundred Mana, William's Mana Reserves were exhausted at a breakneck pace. Not only was he quickly running out of Mana, but William's mind was starting to tire as well. Keeping over twenty Domains active at the sa ti while simultaneously casting expensive Spells was just too much, even for him.
The Demon smiled, seeing that its prey was almost completely worn out. It rushed forward in a playful manner and forced William to cast all of his readied Spells at once, only to back up again and smile mischievously. It had caught on to William's tactics, and now was its ti to return the favor.
Zrrt!
A laser beam sliced off William's left leg suddenly, forcing him to hop backwards while maintaining his Spells with willpower alone. Another laser dispersed William's other leg, leaving him with only his Spirit Qi as a form of movent.
The Demon's smile intensified, only one step away from catching the pitiful weakling that was so unlucky to beco its prey. It shook its head to remove the pesky thoughts of its other consciousness, desiring only to kill and feed on the feeble hearts of human beings.
System! William cried out as another laser took off his left arm, leaving him utterly defenseless against whatever was to co next.
The demon was approaching quickly, its hideous mouth open wide as it sauntered forward, covering the distance between it and William in an instant.
-It's done! Retrieving your soul now!
The Demon chomped down with its powerful jaws but found nothing but air. It turned its head to the side to see William's soul traveling at speed almost equivalent to the Ascension Realm towards a pristine white body as pure as snow.
The soul was pulled inside, turning the lifeless husk into a functional human being, simultaneously filling William with relief.
"That was close, System." he said out loud while flexing his fingers and knuckles.
A few popping noises could be heard as he adjusted to his new body, which felt more like a chanical suit than his own. His bones were heavy like steel and weighed him down slightly, reducing his speed by a few stages in the Tribulation Transcendence Realm, but making up for it by boosting his defense to an insane level.
The peak Nascent Soul Demon no longer seed as threatening, despite the fact that he was still completely out of Mana. As the Demon approached, William even took the liberty to check the new effects of his upgraded Talent: Hard Body.

Twenty thousand percent?!? So... two hundred tis more powerful than a normal Golden Core Cultivator? In each aspect, and they stack?!? Now this is overpowered!
William looked at the fast-approaching Demon and smiled, raising his fist to throw a simple punch. Using the Collateral Damage Talent, a force covering his fist and forty centiters in every direction was sent towards the Demon, blasting the humanoid monster back almost an entire kiloter.
Its deford body was sent hurtling through trees and boulders alike, even tearing through a small hill not far behind. By the ti it regained control of its body, William's figure had already appeared from a short-distance portal above it and smashed it deep underground.
It spun once again, the smile wiped from its face as it beca furious. The horns on its head grew so more, the Lightning Bolts tainted by Darkness Magic that corroded the deep pit it had fallen into.
"Roar!!" the Demon bellowed to the not-so-puny human above it in anger.
William smiled, "I thought you liked picking on weaklings? Well maybe you should get a taste of your own dicine!"
He dove into the Demon's pit like a professional swimr, releasing a series of high-speed punches that mashed the Demon into a paste. A small amount of Chaos Mana was added to the mix, shredding what little was left of the Demon into fine bits of blood that attempted to regather.
"Not so fast!" William said as he disabled all of his Domains at once except the Blood and Chaos Domain, channeling all of his remaining Mana into a Blood Spell that kept the puddles of blood separate from one another.
So roars could still be heard from the Demon as William continued to punch at the blood puddles, channeling his Mana at full power to keep the being from having any chance to recover.
Many minutes passed, which turned into an hour of back and forth between William and the Demon. While it was many tis weaker than William, this Demon proved to be much more versatile than the one he had faced in the past.

I'm glad I upgraded my Talents away from my Companion Beasts. I might have lost a few otherwise. William thought as he called for Atticus with the System.
"Hmm?" William looked down at the puddle of red that could hardly be called blood anymore. A small bead had ford from the blood, which glowed a slight red and seed to contain a bundle of negative emotions.
-Acquired a Blood Bead: 500 PP
Blood Bead? What's this? William ant to ask, but the Alchemy Talent triggered and automatically supplied the information.
It was the key ingredient for a Tier 10 Blood Refinent Pill, and was even more powerful than the one used in the Pill that William gave to Atticus.
