"They fear us just as much as they fear you since they were forced to be saved by the dragon god. You are as much as bad to them as us."
"Why are you trying to downplay your own level of danger to the dragons?" Rain furrowed his eyebrows. "I am not going to collect your friends like they are legendary Pokemons."
"Why do you assu that we are friends? Just because I want you to find that guy? My sole desire is to kill all the dragons and I would use any ans necessary to do so. Or you didn’t realize that we had enough knowledge to beco able to beco tools and not do anything else against the dragons fifty thousand years ago? Our effects are basically an extension of our abilities."
"Shut up, you are as convincing as a salesman going from door to door," Rain said.
"I suppose it can’t be helped… if you free that guy, I will give you a hand on how to surpass the limitations of the system. Your skills won’t have a limit of level anymore. I know that you are thinking about how to do that."
Negotiating with soone possessing the ability to read your thoughts was an annoying experience for Rain. The obvious disadvantage of negotiating with a mind reader was in the stark reality that they had access to his innermost thoughts and desires.
This ant that they held an unparalleled advantage, understanding precisely what he wanted, how he reasoned, and what he sought to achieve from the negotiation.
The mind reader, ard with this knowledge, could adeptly manipulate the negotiation dynamics. They could strategically use Rain’s desires as leverage, offering just enough to entice him while holding back crucial information or concessions.
This calculated tactic aid to coerce Rain into complying with their terms, ensuring that they extracted as much as possible from the negotiation while granting him just enough to maintain his interest.
"I will learn that on my own, no worries," Rain said.
"I don’t have a h doubt that you will. The question if you can afford to wait for that long."
Rain now didn’t know if the guy inside the shield was alive when the system was created or helped in the creation of the system to know that much. Besides, he had a point again… waiting for too long to learn that would be a problem for Rain. The sooner he learns that the better things will be for everyone.
In the end, Rain stopped moving for a mont and then began to think in silence. He tossed the shield away from his domain so the shield didn’t have the chance to see what he was thinking. Before long, Rain made up his mind.
"Don’t leave out of the decision-making process."
Rain ignored the shields words and then made the shield and himself sink underground. For several hours, Rain didn’t see the shield, and the shield had no idea what Rain was doing either, but he could tell that Rain was planning sothing… sothing that probably wouldn’t be beneficial to him. While he could just wait and read his mind, the shield still felt a bit uneasy about it.
Before long, Rain erged from the hole and made the shield leave as well. As soon as Rain grabbed the shield, he found himself back to his ntal landscape… the place where he spent decades harnessing energy to rebuild his Body.
"So, that is how you look, huh?" Rain asked.
The guy in the shield frowned when he found himself inside that landscape, and he no longer could read Rain’s mind. The entity trapped within the shield appeared to possess a human-like form, yet its appearance was an unsettling amalgamation of two contrasting halves.
One side of his physique was engulfed in an ominous and swirling shadow, casting an eerie darkness that obscured any distinct features. This shadowy presence veiled half of his body, shrouding it in an inky darkness that seed to emanate a chilling aura.
Within the murky depths of this shadowy veil lay an eye, a peculiar sight that drew attention despite its obscured nature. The eye, trembled in darkness, resembled a crimson-hued marble glowing ominously within the shadows.
In stark contrast to the shadow-shrouded half stood a being with an air of distinctiveness. This half of the figure displayed the characteristics of a typical human, a slender fra with azure hair that cascaded in unruly strands, hinting at a slightly gaunt and fragile appearance.
"You really sothing else. I guess there is no point in hiding many things now. This is how I look like, at least the part of sealed on the shield."
"Just give a minute, I will change the rules of this place to read your mind completely."
"It is useless, you will only learn fragnts of my knowledge since the other two parts are on the armor and the spear."
"That is for to decide," Rain said.
Rain knew that the shield possessed the ability to read into his thoughts by using his own energy. This intuitive understanding hinted at a connection between his ntal energies and the shield’s abilities.
However, amidst this disconcerting revelation, Rain’s attention was montarily diverted by another disquieting detail—the striking similarity between the blue-haired half of tha guy within the shield and the sea folk, characterized by their distinct hair tone. This resemblance struck a chord of unease within Rain, stirring a lot of discomfort.
The sea folk’s unique hair color had beco a telltale sign of their lineage, a defining feature that set them apart. Rain’s unease stemd from the unexpected resemblance of this individual’s blue hair to that of the sea folk. This connection piqued Rain’s suspicions, triggering a wave of apprehension as he pondered the potential implications of such an uncanny resemblance.
At first, Rain had a hard ti forcing the landscape to act the way that he wanted because his own thoughts began to erge as well and he wanted a complete reversal of their positions from before.
