As Rain watched the unwavering determination and valor of his friends and the brave warriors of the Raging Phoenix, a wave of conflicting emotions passed through him. Amidst the chaos and devastation wrought by the teor dragons, he found himself troubled with an overwhelming sense of embarrassnt and regret.
He couldn’t help but feel a big deal of sha as he reflected on his recent choices. Ti and again, he had used the excuse of preserving what he held dear as a justification for his actions. Yet, in doing so, he had neglected to demonstrate his gratitude and appreciation for the invaluable connections and things he held close with real actions...
The sight of his comrades standing resilient against the unrelenting tide of destruction made Rain acutely aware of his shortcomings. He realized that re words of concern and gratitude were insufficient. Instead, actions, sacrifices, and resolute determination were needed to reflect the depth of his appreciation and willingness to protect what truly mattered…
For the first ti in his second life… Rain trembled in fear. He was afraid… afraid of his own choices… would he regret them later? What was the best option there? He didn’t know yet, but he knew that he had yet to do his best… he at least had to prove that he was willing to go to great lengths to reach his goals. Find more adventures on .Côm
"... Here goes nothing," Rain thought after taking a deep sigh and looking at the ring that he had stored a lot of his mana in the last few days.
After draining so mana from it, Rain controlled the clouds once again and cooled them down as much as possible… he could feel his mind getting clouded a lot faster than before since he wasn’t using the rings with their original purpose… one was for the sake of the future, and the other was to control wind magic added with the power of Greed and Wrath…
Either way, it didn’t take long for dark snowflakes to fall on the area and hit the teor dragons… those didn’t lt since they weren’t only made of water… Rain confird that the sins couldn’t destroy the power of the sins. Thanks to that, when they touched the teor dragons, the touched parts were covered in a dark layer of ice.
The parts touched stopped emitting heat, and the dragons showed a bit of surprise… they used their energy to emit more heat from their bodies, but it wasn’t enough since Rain used greed against greed.
Just like they wanted the power of the sun, Rain wanted the power to stop them even at the cost of his future… he wasn’t willing to never see his family and friends again, but he was willing to not see them for a while in order to win…
"The hell are you doing?" Seadrei said after shooking Rain’s shoulders.
Rain didn’t realize that, but he was starting to emit an ominous aura… even though he wasn’t using the shield, it felt like he was being overtaken by sothing similar. Still, he didn’t have any other options, and one can’t gain anything without offering sothing in exchange… so he decided to ignore Seadrei.
"Stick to the plan, I got this," Rain said.
After not so long, the ring that had the last blood of the dragons broke and Rain’s aura returned to normal… at the sa ti, most of the teor dragons had several parts of their bodies covered in the dark ice… the golem dragons fired giant earth spears to destroy those, but it didn’t change a thing.
The temperature decreased in the area, and thanks to the buffs, the warriors of the raging phoenix reached the enemies and began to use Impulse from one side to the other while attacking the teor dragons. The beast groaned in annoyance since most of their weapons had the power of the ice dragons, and that caused extra damage against them.
It didn’t take long for one of the giant monsters to lose their legs… all of a sudden, Roan made his sword grow in size and length and then ripped apart one side of the knee of one teor dragon. At the sa ti, Jori unleashed his technique and fired a blast of ice in the shape of a giant blade and cut off the leg of the sa beast.
Without considering the danger, Reca jumped toward the beast that was falling and then stabbed the frozen forehead of the beast with countless strikes until it eventually cracked alongside that side of the head of the monster. The beast fell dead…
An unknown skill leveled up.
An unknown path leveled up.
Before Reca could even fall… the nearby teor dragons opened their mouths and then fired the fire beam to destroy her, but Rain suddenly appeared in front of her and shielded Reca with only two giant ice arms… unlike the others that he had shown before… they were completely dark and emitted a dark miasma.
"Don’t expose yourself too much," Rain said.
Rain’s aura was different, but at least his voice didn’t change at all… people felt relieved while seeing his back and while he was acting like usual, but things were different on his face.
As Rain rushed towards the next big target, his face went really pale. He looked scared and unsure about what was going to happen. He felt a lot of fear and worry about the future. This was sothing new for him because, usually, he’s very determined and sure of himself and the outcos…
Even though he was scared, he knew he couldn’t back down. He had to keep going forward, even if he didn’t know what would happen. He tried to be brave, but inside, he felt really scared about the whole situation.
"I am not strong ntally or physically… it was about damn ti for to realize that," Rain thought. "This is my true challenge in this world, all the others were no real challenges..."
