Rain's body, battered and bruised, slowly rose from the ground. The demon king couldn't hide his surprise, having underestimated Rain's resilience. Despite the visible signs of damage, Rain's determination burned brightly in his eyes.
"You triggered my trap card…" Rain said.
The demon king raised his guard for sothing to happen, but nothing actually happened. So, he realized that he fell for another of Rain's stupid antics. In the end, Rain got up and then cleaned the blood from his mouth. The demon king planned to charge at Rain again, but soon his eyes got blurry.
So blood began to fall from Rain's nose, and thanks to it, the demon king realized that there was sothing in the air.
The demon king covered his nose and began to heal himself, but that didn't improve things at all. Rain had used so kind of poison that affected Seadrei more than himself since the ti he stopped using the wrath path.
"Took you long enough," Rain said. "Too bad it is too late."
Rain, realizing the need for a strategic advantage, used his wind magic to manipulate the air composition within the chamber. Unseen by the naked eye, he gradually increased the levels of carbon dioxide, creating a lethal atmosphere for both himself and the demon king.
However, Rain's resistance to gases allowed him to endure the conditions better than the demon king who was using Seadrei's body since he was from the sea folk, who began to show signs of distress.
As the concentration of carbon dioxide reached critical levels, Seadrei's body started to succumb to the effects. The demon king, experiencing difficulty breathing, felt his nose bleeding profusely, a clear indication of the strain on his respiratory system. Weakness and dizziness set in, gradually eroding the demon king's formidable strength.
In the next mont, Rain suddenly appeared in front of the demon king, his giant obsidian arms were back, and he punched the demon king over and over again. Blood began to fall like Rain from his face.
"Ora, ora, ora, ora, ora, ora, ora, ora, ora, ora!" Rain shouted. "Za Warudo!"
In the last mont, Rain punched the demon king with all his might and then made him fly back to his throne. The impact destroyed it, and then the enemy fell on the wall. Before he could fall to the ground, Rain approached to smash his face with a knee attack, but then sothing escaped the mouth of the demon king and returned to his dead body.
In the last mont, Rain was able to change the direction of his attack and not smash Seadrei's head, but thanks to that, he didn't have ti to stop the demon king from recovering his old body and repairing it insanely fast.
The entity that left Seadrei's mouth appeared as a twisted, living, round shadow adorned with nacing spikes. Its grotesque appearance sent shivers down Rain's spine, and he couldn't help but find it utterly disgusting. The entity seed to pulsate with an eerie energy, resembling a parasite more than a traditional monster.
This shadowy form bore an unsettling aura, indicating its malevolent nature. Its swift movents hinted at an intelligence that went beyond a re creature, and Rain realized that he was facing not just the demon king's borrowed power but a distinct and repulsive entity that might be the true form of their enemy.
The parasite-like creature swiftly returned to the demon king's lifeless body, lding with it seamlessly. The demon king's body began to regenerate at an alarming rate, repairing the damage incurred during the battle.
"Ugh, you will pay for this," The demon king said when he got up.
"You sound like a broken recorder," Rain said.
The demon king groaned in annoyance and then soon summoned his shadow spears once more. Still, they looked a lot less imposing now if compared to before. Rain could tell the reason why… before, he had his own strength and Seadrei's strength, but now he had only his, and Rain couldn't help but grin from ear to ear.
The grin made the demon king enraged and charge at Rain, but then the spear was t with one of his giant earth arms. This ti, neither of them were pushed away. When the demon king used his other spear, Rain blocked with his other giant earth arm. For several monts, they kept trying to push each other… until Rain's giant earth arms broke.
This ti, the demon king smiled… but not for long. Rain let the shadow spears pierce his hands, and then he grabbed the enemy's hands. The spears stopped a few centiters away from his face, and they didn't get any closer after that.
"Gotcha," Rain said while his hands were bleeding like a waterfall. "Hmm, I see, I see… it makes sense. The sin that you are most used to is Envy. It suits you. Now die."
Rain summoned countless mana swords and then made them fall on the demon king. At first, the demon king thought that it would be fine, but soon, the projectiles pierced his flesh, and he changed his mind.
At first, nothing happened, but soon, the demon king felt his mana falling. Alongside his mana, his will to fight decreased as well… it almost reached a level where he lost the will to fight, but before that could happen, his mana reached rock bottom, and the mana sword began to slice his body.
"I thought that it would take longer, but I guess you used too much mana by using the secret technique of Seadrei," Rain said when pieces of the demon king began to fall on the ground.
"This isn't over yet!" The demon king shouted and then jumped from his head toward Rain.
Still, Rain was waiting for that… before the monster could touch Rain's face, the ominous sword suddenly appeared and split the beast in half. Both parts of the monster fell on the ground and began to tremble, even in that situation, the beast was alive.
