The lights didn’t go out suddenly, but flickered twice before gradually dimming, with Raymond staring intently at Le Cheng. Seizing the opportunity while he still had Le Cheng in his sight, Raymond launched an attack, but in the next mont, Le Cheng disappeared into the darkness.

Unable to see, hear, or feel anything; no footsteps, no breaths, not even the sound of a heartbeat.

From this point on, Raymond completely lost any perception of Le Cheng.

In the darkness, it seed like he was the only one left.

This instinctively reminded Raymond of so mories from his past... In the place where he once lived, there existed creatures called Night Demons. They had human-like appearance but preyed on humans, erging only at night. They could move swiftly across the ground like phantoms, silent as they went, capturing humans from within the darkness.

In Raymond’s mory, many people, including his parents, were devoured by the Night Demons, as they were considered invincible to most.

Only by remaining absolutely silent in the darkness, motionless, making no noise, even covering one’s mouth to stifle breathing, could one possibly avoid the Night Demon’s notice.

Raymond had experienced this before, having watched a Night Demon pass right before his eyes; in that mont, his heart had nearly stopped beating. Although he was fortunate enough to survive, the fear from that instant beca an inescapable nightmare.

And now, faced with this silent and dark environnt, the shadows of his childhood re-erged.

In that mont, it was as if he were back there, back then.

Cold sweat poured down his forehead.

Raymond was well aware that Le Cheng was not a Night Demon, but as fear began to overtake his consciousness, truth no longer mattered. His large fra shuddered violently in the darkness, and then—

"Ah ah ah—Night Demon? Night Demon! Night Demon..."

For an adult, defenses often collapse in an instant. Raymond suddenly roared in frenzy, attacking his surroundings without rhy or reason, sotis wailing, sotis laughing maniacally, as if his ntal state had begun to disintegrate, bordering on madness.

"Co on, co on! Whether you’re a Night Demon or whatever else, I’m not afraid of you. I am invincible now, I will tear you to pieces! Hahaha!"

"What is a Night Demon?" Le Cheng’s voice echoed in the darkness.

"It’s you!" Even on the verge of losing his mind, Raymond’s combat prowess remained undeniable. By gauging Le Cheng’s position through sound, he lunged forward, swinging his iron rod with a fierce downstroke, "Die!"

Sizzle!

The iron rod generated a whistling sound but obviously swung through empty air. Then sothing sharp sliced through the skin on Raymond’s wrist, and with a clang, the iron rod fell to the ground.

Raymond tried to clench his fist, but found his right hand unresponsive.

What remained of his sanity allowed him to realize that his tendons had been cut.

"Ah ah ah, you bastard!"

Fear further spread, consuming the last scraps of his rationality. Raymond felt a huge shadow enveloping him from all sides, shouting hysterically and attacking everything around him in a desperate attempt to gain so sense of security.

However, such behavior was pointless.

Of course, Le Cheng was not so so-called Night Demon; he was just an ordinary person who couldn’t see in the dark, but he had a photographic mory. As long as he had seen sothing once, it would be etched in his mory as if an image, unless he chose to delete that mory. Therefore, he could "see" the layout of the room clearly even with his eyes closed.

Furthermore, he had exceptional hearing; even if Raymond rely stood still, his heartbeat and breathing would easily give away his position to Le Cheng, let alone Raymond’s shouting. Under these circumstances, Raymond was nothing more than a live target for Le Cheng.

The attack ca silently, seemingly from everywhere at once; Raymond was completely defenseless in the dark, and as his injuries accumulated, his ntal state approached the brink of collapse. The last thread keeping his sanity intact finally snapped.

Crack!

Just then, the lights in the room ca on again.

At this mont, Raymond’s body had barely any intact part left, dripping with fresh blood. The mont he saw Le Cheng, boundless fear imdiately filled his eyes. He couldn’t muster the slightest will to fight and, ignoring the pain, he ran desperately backwards, then banged into the tightly closed stone door with a thud.

"Don’t... don’t... don’t co over here!!!"

Watching Le Cheng approach step by step, Raymond curled up his body and was directly frightened to tears.

"Was I really this scary?" Le Cheng touched his chin, muttering to himself. To be honest, Raymond’s reaction was sowhat surprising to him. In fact, he had prepared several tactics to deal with Raymond, but it turned out he only needed the first one. What a waste of his careful planning.

"Devil, devil, you are the real devil!" Raymond cried out hysterically with bulging eyes, "A thing like you shouldn’t exist here. I can’t take it, I can’t take it... Let out!"

Raymond desperately pounded on the stone door, trying to escape this hellish place of horror.

However, gradually, his voice grew weaker and weaker until his hand fell powerlessly.

Raymond was dead.

The fatal wound was in his chest.

After neutralizing his combat threat, Le Cheng pierced his heart directly.

It was Raymond after all, with formidable physical prowess, who after having his heart pierced, could still run and scream, struggling to live a few more minutes. An ordinary person wouldn’t have lasted until now.

"What a pity, if he could have lived a bit longer, maybe I could have found out what the Night Demon is."

Le Cheng shook his head slightly, walking back with a hint of regret.

When he returned to the room, Marilyn imdiately handed him a Bloody Mary. Le Cheng took a light sip; the drink was still warm.

"Brother Cheng, you are truly amazing. That Raymond had no power to fight back against you." Marilyn leaned against Le Cheng’s chest, full of admiration. She knew very well how strong Raymond was, even Oink, known as the Heavenly Butcher, might not match up to Raymond in a head-to-head confrontation, yet he was toyed with by Le Cheng. If she hadn’t seen it with her own eyes, she would never have believed it.

"It’s the expected outco."

Le Cheng casually tossed the empty cup away, embraced i and Ya at his side, and as a celebration, the four of them started a Sexy Party right there.

The next day, in the early morning, when the day was just barely alight, two Prison Guards, weary, headed towards the cafeteria.

"Last night was really exhilarating, it’s been a long ti since I’ve felt so alive."

"It’s a pity, I didn’t get to taste Marilyn."

"It’s all Raymond’s fault for taking Marilyn away, otherwise we definitely would have had a chance."

"Shh, be quieter, if soone hears..."

"Huh, what’s that?"

The two Prison Guards, just having co from the Sexy Party scene were utterly famished from the previous night’s exertion and had rushed to the cafeteria to grab a good al and replenish themselves. While chatting, sothing ahead caught their attention.

It was a stain, and the two walked over to it. After close inspection, they finally confird it was a pool of blood that had started to congeal due to the ti passed.

Both showed puzzled expressions. Bloodstains in the cafeteria were not unusual; however, normally...

Drip-drip!

At this mont, more blood dripped down from above.

Both instinctively looked up.

"Ah!!"

Two cries of panic piercingly shattered the prison’s dawn.
