(Inside the tallest building in Falmouth)

"Boss, what are we going to do?"

"Yeah, that witch has joined the rebels."

The eting room of the Falmouth ruling rcenaries buzzed with noise as a handso man with black hair and grey eyes tried to co up with a plan, his expression twisting with every voice.

After a mont, he snapped:

"Can you idiots just shut up!?"

Everyone sealed their lips the mont he spoke.

The man sighed. ’Arthur Arcain, how co I’ve never heard of him?’

The seventh generation was said to have birthed monsters, but they were still a generation with no true leader.

Even then, Kelvin believed he knew all the prodigies from that generation—yet another one had just erged from nowhere.

Still, he was a spoiled brat. There was no way a kid fresh out of whatever secluded training he’d undergone would stand against him.

’The kid should have just run.’ Kelvin smirked. ’Is he confident because he has the dragon woman?’

Even if the strange woman didn’t betray the young man, Kelvin had already planned how to stop her.

Falmouth was their territory, and once he was finished here, the demonic dragon territory would be next.

Just as Kelvin began to feel at ease, a man burst through the door panting.

"Boss, the rebels have spread themselves throughout the city!"

’Are they trying to create an opening for the dragon woman to strike?’ He smirked. ’Stupid kid.’

Kelvin rose from the edge of the rectangular table and commanded, "Send all our troops at them and clear a path for the dragon woman to attack." His eyes glead with twisted pleasure. "Once she’s trapped, I can have all my fun."

Everyone in the room broke into laughter.

’The battle was over before it even began, kid,’ Kelvin concluded.

------

Arthur, Nathira, Alia, Sylvia, and Elizabeth gazed out at the city of Falmouth from atop its fortress walls.

"Are you sure this will work?" Sylvia asked, skeptical.

Arthur didn’t respond for a mont, as if analyzing sothing.

"No," he answered. "There isn’t any perfect strategy, so the best we can do is try."

Like it or not, they had to fight. This battle couldn’t be avoided from the mont they entered the town.

"Lisa," Arthur called out. "Make sure you don’t leave the factory. Ever."

Elizabeth nodded.

Nathira smiled at her. "As your Unnie, just call , and I’ll co pick you up."

Elizabeth couldn’t help but feel reassured by their words.

Sylvia pouted. "So, do I also get a break?"

Arthur turned to her, then looked back at the city. "Okay guys, let’s start moving."

He jumped from the wall into the city as enemy rcenaries rushed toward the front gate.

"Hey, at least answer!" Sylvia said, jumping after him.

"Everyone rembers their mission, right?"

All three of them nodded, and as soon as they hit the ground, Alia and Sylvia darted in opposite directions.

Arthur glanced over his shoulder at Nathira. "And what are you still doing here?"

She pointed at her forehead.

Arthur stared at her blankly and shook his head. "No, finish your mission first."

Nathira clicked her tongue and vanished.

Arthur sighed. "Let’s end this battle already."

(Inside the tallest building in Falmouth city)

"Boss, it’s like you said. They’re trying to make an opening for their ace."

Kelvin scoffed. "Kids will always be kids."

Before the other man could continue, the usual bearer of bad news burst through the door.

"Boss, bad news!"

Kelvin raised a brow, still disinterested. "What is it? If it’s not important, you’re dead."

The man stuttered until he finally spoke. "The enemy is at our front door."

Kelvin stared at him like an insect. "And? Didn’t I tell you to use the rune when you saw the dragon?"

The man hesitated. "Uhmm... the thing is, the dragon didn’t co."

"Then who is here?"

Kelvin didn’t wait to hear the rest and simply stord out, only to see a single figure cutting through his n like cattle.

Only one word described it:

Overwhelming.

Kelvin swallowed hard. ’That’s no young master.’

The figure’s icy stare locked onto him as he raised his blade.

"How long do you plan on keeping waiting?"

------

Just as Arthur had anticipated, Mr. X had grown overconfident and deployed all his n, leaving an open path for Nathira to attack.

Arthur didn’t know how many corpses he had created so far, but he didn’t stop.

He cut down one after another as he moved toward the entrance of the tallest building.

It was his turn to instill fear into the enemy.

Five, four, three... Arthur counted down inwardly, and when it hit zero, Mr. X finally appeared.

Arthur finished off one last opponent and turned his blade toward him. ’So what’s your next move... X?’

"How long do you plan on keeping waiting?"

Kelvin let out a crooked grin. "Nice to et you, Young Master Arthur Arcain, I’m—"

Arthur cut him off, tilting his head. "Who the hell asked you?"

Kelvin flinched under the gaze of the blood-covered young man.

Arthur didn’t budge. "Every man who serves under Mr. X, co out and die."

Kelvin almost laughed at the weak attempt to provoke him, but then his expression shifted in horror as all his n rushed out of the building even though he’d ordered them to stay put.

"That’s all of them, right?" Arthur muttered before raising a hand and flicking a finger downward like signaling a missile to drop.

And just like in every action series, a massive fire spell crashed from the sky onto Kelvin’s building with a thunderous explosion.

Arthur didn’t look back. He already knew whose spell it was.

He dashed into the burning structure, grabbed the rune from its embedded chanism, then ran up the stairs to the topmost floor.

Cherry had already given him all the information he needed after just one day under his command.

Kelvin, the current leader of Falmouth, was an illegal demonic organ farr, and his lab could only be accessed from the roof.

It was a critical information even Arthur didn’t know as a player, so it wasn’t a surprise that no one had caught him till now.

With Revival active, Arthur barely felt any heat inside the flaming building and quickly reached the top.

But behind the door stood sothing that made Arthur’s eyes widen in disbelief.

"What?"
