Intents had Stages used to determine how proficient you were with them.

They were:

1 - Conceptualization

2 - Grasping

3 - Manifestation

4 - Condensation

5 - Perfection

)

6 - Unity

For those still in the 1st Rank, knocking on the door to the 2nd Rank, they’d work their way to Conceptualization of the Intent. Then they’d Grasp the fundantals of the Intent in the Grasping Stage. And finally, after a ton of effort, they’d Manifest their understanding of the Intent in the Manifestation Stage.

After achieving Manifestation of an Intent and giving the go-ahead with your Evolution Path, you’d be able to break through to Rank 2 at any ti.

As for the |Condensation| Stage... only those nearing the later levels of the 2nd Rank would consider progressing their Intent proficiency so much.

Your Intent would condense at the |Condensation| Stage, allowing for far more damage and versatility as opposed to those with an Intent limited to the Manifestation Stage. The difference between combatants at each of these two Stages was like that of heaven and earth.

As for the |Perfection| and |Unity| Stages, they were reserved for those either at the peak of the 2nd Rank or half a step into the 3rd Rank. Very rarely was any 2nd Rank Evolver at these Stages in their cultivation, likely accommodating less than 5% of all 2nd Rank Evolvers.

...

"To think that Azmodeus was hiding so well..."

"A Condensation Stage Intent. How rare."

"But why hide sothing like that until now? Does he like torturing his opponents or sothing??"

The spectators in the arena couldn’t understand Jin’s way of thinking. If he possessed so much power, why did he pretend to be so weak, even going so far as to scurry across the fighting ring like a rat?

Little did they know that Jin hadn’t been acting.

The whole ti, the only thing he aid to gain from this fight was the abilities of his opponent—sothing he accomplished re monts ago when he comprehended the |Fire Intent| to Level 4, surpassing Borg.

That, on top of the Fla Dominion Evolution Path and nurous Fire-related Techniques, ant Jin looted all he could from Borg. Consequently, this ant Borg’s usefulness ran out.

Naturally, he was swiftly disposed of by that point.

Interrupting Jin’s thoughts was the boisterous voice of the Announcer A.I.

"Winner of Match D–67891 of Arena Sector #1222 has concluded! Winner is Azmodeus!"

The spectators, although still taken aback by the unexpected developnt of events, erupted in cheers as soon as the announcent was made.

They loved matches like this one the most, where the underdog won in the end.

However, Jin, as if in his own little world, paid the spectators no attention. He watched as 86,500 Cosmic Human Coins were deposited into his account for winning the match. After which, he gave himself no respite, heading straight into another match in the Bronze League.

This ti, it was him against a Rank 2 Level 2 Evolver wielding the |Water| Intent.

A fitting match as a follow-up to his match against a man of fire.

It was also a match in which Jin’s newfound fanbase felt he would lose. After all, the |Fire| Intent was naturally weak against the |Water| Intent, as like their elent counterparts, there were weaknesses and strengths between elental-based Intents.

Yet, after a battle that lasted a couple of minutes, the revealed outco ended up being far from what everyone was expecting.

Another win!

And Azmodeus was shown to have the |Water| Intent as well?? Also at the |Condensation| Stage!?

Mind-blowing!

But surely this was all he had to show, right?

His next opponent, also a 2nd Rank Level 2 Evolver from Pacific Blue Star, was a |Blade| Intent user. He was also quite the adept one at the Blade Intent, his skills further enhanced by the |Blade Lord| Evolution Path he practiced.

With the speed he could exhibit, normal 2nd Rank Level 3 Evolvers acting as Mage-types wouldn’t even be able to finish casting their long-distance attacks before being cut down.

This ti, Jin would lose without a doubt.

However...

SHING!

Stage 3 Blade Intent clashed against Stage 4 Blade Intent like a tiny water gun going against a pressurized hose. The forr dispersed instantly, with the wielder blipped out of existence by a massive tsunami of Blade Intent.

"H-He won again..."

And he kept on winning—each ti using a different Intent, oftentis the sa one his opponent was using.

However, after his 10th match, Jin decided to take things down a notch. Revealing so many Intents wasn’t necessarily a good thing and could attract unwanted attention.

But even if he only displayed a little over 10 Intents, still qualifying him as a genius on Pacific Blue Star, he never stopped comprehending the Intents of his opponents.

He even improved upon them.
