795: Chapter 58 – So, it’s her!

795: Chapter 58 – So, it’s her!

After fetching the first aid kit filled with surgical tools and dicine, Tang Zheng cut open the policewoman’s clothes.

He respectfully removed her bra and tal accessories without any inappropriate glances at her chest.

The bullet from the Bronze Iron Cannon had scraped Kita-jima Miki’s ribs and left a bloody ss, but the injury wasn’t too severe.

After administering an anesthetic and cleaning the wound with clean water, Tang Zheng began removing the bullet.

Tang Zheng had exchanged points for battlefield dical skills, but this didn’t stump him – after five minutes of surgery, he already was quite proficient.

As Song Huiqiao idly played with Kita-jima Miki’s gem-studded necklace, she opened it.

Upon seeing the photo inside, she could not help but cry out in surprise, looking at Tang Zheng with an expression of disbelief and amazent.

“What’s going on?” asked Tang Zheng; his frowned enough to flatten a crab.

He wiped the blood off Miki’s skin with gauze, and reprimanded her, “If you’re bored, go stand guard at the door.”

“Sorry, I was just surprised because this man looks so much like you,” Song Huiqiao quickly apologized.

“How similar could it be?” Jing Xiang was curious, she craned her neck to look at the photo tucked into the necklace.

To prove her innocence, Song Huiqiao quickly handed it to Jing Xiang.

“Hmm, this clearly is Group Leader.” Jing Xiang looked again at Tang Zheng, and then nodded assertively, “Just like two peas in a pod.”

“What a ridiculous comparison.” Tang Zheng was exasperated.

Although he was slightly curious, he decided that the surgery was more important and didn’t hurry to look.

The two won didn’t dare to interrupt him again and quietly helped in the operation while Little Orange crouched nearby watching Tang Zheng with wide eyes, eager to learn how he perford the surgery.

Twenty minutes later, Tang Zheng finished bandaging Kita-jima Miki’s waist, concluding the surgery.

After cleaning the blood off his hands with a bottle of mineral water, he took the necklace.

He noted that its two photos were well preserved, showing its owner cared for it a lot.

Tang Zheng didn’t rember taking such a photo, but when he saw the beautiful girl standing next to him in the photo, mories flooded his mind like a tidal wave.

“So, it’s her.

It’s surprising that it’s the sa ti period.” The third Trojan Horse Ga also took place in Japan.

The mission objective was to protect Uesugi Runa and Chikashima Airi.

He also t the policewoman Kobayakawa Yumi along the way.

Of course, Tang Zheng wouldn’t forget.

But that was in 2040, a whole 42 years different from the current period.

Suddenly, Tang Zheng missed them and wanted to check on their conditions, but he quickly brushed off the temptation.

“I was right, wasn’t I?

He looks very much like you,” Song Huiqiao clarified, trying to clear her reputation.

“Go check if Aoki has woken up.

We need to get them to the Self-Defense Force base now.” Tang Zheng didn’t delay any further.

He picked up Kita-jima Miki and left the living room.

Seeing the condition of the policewoman who happened to be the granddaughter of his friend, he even gave her a Nanobot Injection to aid her recovery.

Tang Zheng’s words now held absolute authority, and the two won dared not to disagree and simply obeyed.

After starting the Infantry Armored Car, they drove swiftly down the street.

Aoki was holding his forehead, since he was still angry about Tang Zheng knocking him out.

But when he saw the carefully treated Kita-jima Miki, his anger dissipated and he sincerely thanked Tang Zheng.

“Oh, why does this feel so familiar?

Tang Zheng-kun, have we t before?” Aoki asked about his doubts.

But before Tang Zheng could answer, Aoki suddenly shouted out, “Ah, I’ve seen you in Miki’s photo.

No, that’s not right.

That was a photo of her grandmother.

By age comparison, you should be in your 60s.”

“Is Miki’s grandmother still alive?” Tang Zheng rembered that young girl and felt a bit lancholy, “Do you know anything about her?”

“She should still be alive.

I only know so fun facts about Miki’s grandmother.

For instance, every few years, she would travel to China, perhaps in search of soone.” Kenichi Aoki chatted casually while guiding the direction, deliberately ignoring the topic about the Infantry Armored Car.

He was a man who believed in repaying kindness.

“I can only take you this far.

Please say hello to her grandmother for .” Tang Zheng hesitated a bit, but did not give his own na.

After taking out Kita-jima Miki, he looked at her pale face in her coma.

He bent down and gently kissed her forehead, a gesture of affection from an elder to a junior.

Aoki did not stop him.

After seeing the war chariot depart, he prepared to bring Miki to the temporary base of the Self-Defense Force.

But he noticed that she woke up, staring intensely in the direction where Tang Zheng had left.

“I want to go ho and ask my grandmother so things.” Miki had a good relationship with her grandmother.

However, every ti she asked about the man in the photo, her grandmother would just smile happily and change the topic, never giving an answer.

The past few days of citywide chaos had made her nerves tight.

If it wasn’t for Aoki’s sudden ntion, she wouldn’t have thought of this.

The pair was about to return to the base when they suddenly heard a series of violent explosions.

When they turned around in shock, they saw smoke billowing from the direction of the base, with constant gunfire and explosions.

The destructive impact of these explosions could be felt even from their location.

Miki and Aoki looked at each other, both seeing dread in each other’s faces.

They knew that the base was finished, and it had surely been attacked by the demonized monsters and dark shadows.

“Be careful.” Before Aoki had made up his mind, he saw a large group of monsters erging from both sides of the street and sprinting towards them in a frenzy.

“Run!” Upon Miki’s command, she turned around and ran.

She was surprised to find that the pain from the wound wasn’t severe, and it barely affected her movent.

She guessed that Tang Zheng must have used so special dicine.

“Oh no.” Aoki had run out of bullets for his submachine gun and was left defenseless.

He regretted not allowing Tang Zheng to escort them to the base so that at least they could have kept a car.

The sound of a heavy machine gun firing rang out.

Bullets swept into the horde of monsters, slowing their advance.

Shortly after, the war chariot appeared and drove swiftly towards them.

Upon hearing the explosion, Tang Zheng knew the base was finished.

Regardless, he decided to bring along Kita-jima Miki as he knew her grandmother and couldn’t bear to see her die here.

“Who among you knows how to drive a war chariot?” inquired Tang Zheng casually.

To his surprise, Aoki had previously served in the chanized division of the Self-Defense Force and was familiar with operation of the war chariot.

Tang Zheng imdiately handed over the responsibility to him while he himself climbed into the vehicle commander’s compartnt.

The 35mm machine gun began to roar, and amidst the thunderous noise, the projectiles shot into the crowd of monsters.

The explosion triggered a wave of air and fragnts, flinging a swath of monsters into the air.

However, they did not die.

The demonized monsters let out agonizing screams as they got up again.

“Retreat.” These creatures don’t drop soul shards.

A montary blockage is enough, and Tang Zheng was not ready to waste ammunition on them.

Kita-jima Miki looked at Tang Zheng, wanting to say sothing, but eventually swallowed her doubts.

“Head to Higashi-Ikebukuro 3-cho.” Tang Zheng called out the hunting zone of Lu Fan, then opened the hatch and climbed out of the vehicle commander’s compartnt to survey the surrounding environnt.

So citizens, who had hidden and managed to survive, saw the war chariot passing by and cried out for help.

However, they were quickly overtaken and killed by the monsters that arrived first.

Aoki and iji wanted to rescue them, but were restrained by Tang Zheng.

“Only when the army clears out the monsters will they have a chance to get out alive.

Our only war chariot can’t take them all.” Song Huiqiao explained in her limited Japanese.

“Our ammunition’s almost depleted.

We’re lacking water and food, we should head to the base first.” Due to her gratitude for being saved, iji did not bla Tang Zheng for driving the war chariot aimlessly but advised him seriously,”Don’t worry, the Self-Defense Force will not make things difficult for you; I guarantee it.”

“My team mbers are still in Ikebukuro, how can I leave?” Tang Zheng found iji’s personality to be exactly like her grandmother’s.

“I made a mistake, but don’t worry, I will prepare a car and weapons for you to leave Ikebukuro as soon as possible.”

“That’s not what I ant.” iji thought Tang Zheng was implying she was afraid of dying; her cheeks imdiately turned red, “I can help you rescue your team mbers.”

“There’s gunfire,” Aoki interrupted their conversation.

“Drive over there.” made ready the bullet chain himself, Tang Zheng prepared to fire at any mont.

About thirty seconds later, a military Humr appeared from the crossroad.

Pang iqin held the vehicle-mounted machine gun, firing at the Demonic Shadow cavalry who were chasing them from behind.

Lu Fan shattered the rear car window, and holding a Gauss sniper rifle, continuously fired penetrating incendiary bullets.

The bullets hit the Demonic Shadows, engulfing them in flas.

But, even then, they didn’t die, and continued to charge on their horses.

“They’re tough.” Little Lolita pouted in dissatisfaction.

She got ready to reload, considering whether to switch to a cannon beam magazine, when she saw a white beam shoot past the Humr, hitting a Demonic Shadow’s chest and shooting right through it.

“That’s Uncle.”

“That’s Tang Zheng.”

The driver Yu Manli and Lu Fan called out together.

How could they not recognize the energy bullets?

Their faces imdiately brightened up in joy.

“Stop, we won’t run anymore and will annihilate them.” Lu Fan first threw out the Wisdom Sword.

Then with a wave of his hand, countless sand dust surged out from the wristwatch, solidifying into a sand dragon rushing towards the Demonic Shadow Cavalry.

“Brother Tang, I’m here.” Yao Feng was holding an M4A1 rifle and waved at Tang Zheng, obviously pleased.

After annihilating the Demonic Shadow Cavalry unit, they harvested three shards.

Lu Fan offered the shards to Tang Zheng, but he refused.

Just as they were about to make conversation, the radar alard with an ear-piercing sound.

Several hundred red dots lit up on the screen.

“What now?

Do we kill all of them?” Seeing Tang Zheng there, the excitent of Pang iqin and the others was evident, showing no fear at all.

“We need to prepare a tactic.” Of course, Tang Zheng wouldn’t let this golden opportunity slip through his fingers.

However, the Silver Trojan intended not to give him the opportunity to fight at his leisure.

An announcent ca through the speaker of the wristwatch.

“Survivors near Chuanwen High School, please annihilate ‘The Principal’ within half an hour, otherwise, a survivor will be arbitrarily erased.”

Tang Zheng’s team was extrely unlucky to have been singled out!
