"Are you sure it won’t be delayed?" Pang iqin sat in the office, sipping coffee. She saw the employee return drenched in sweat and asked politely.
"Yes, it’ll arrive at the station in twenty minutes. The ticket inspection has already started!" The employee, eager to please, had pocketed two hundred pounds.
"Thank you. I guess it’s ti for to go!" Pang iqin walked to the door, took the suitcase handed over by the employee, waved goodbye, and turned to leave.
The employee felt a sense of loss. He thought this Chinese woman had an extraordinary bearing. Too bad he would never see her again. If he’d known the suitcase he touched just now contained a bomb, he definitely wouldn’t have thought so.
Walking toward the ticket inspection, Pang iqin discreetly placed bundles made of newspaper in unnoticed places—trash bins, wall corners, under benches. Inside these bundles lay bombs.
In the industrial era, newsboys were everywhere. Pang iqin casually called one over.
"In half an hour, stand outside the train station and press down on the pocket watch to pause it!" Pang iqin pulled out a hundred and ten pounds, waving it enticingly. "It’s yours."
The newsboy nodded rapidly, reaching for the cash.
"No, I’ll give you this first. After you complete the job accurately, go to the inn over there to find , and then I’ll give you the pounds!" Pang iqin handed him two pennies. If she gave away all the money at once, the newsboy might press the button prematurely or just take the money and run. That would be trouble.
Having arranged everything, Pang iqin made a loop around and entered the train station. There were only three minutes left. The ticket inspection line had already shrunk to less than thirty people.
She directly sought out the employee from before and asked him for help.
The security system in the late 19th century was abysmal. A re suitcase compartnt was enough for Pang iqin to smuggle bullets and firearms onto the platform—let alone having an employee escort her.
The black train head spewing smoke ca into view, its steam whistle stretched long. Choking coal fus filled the air as Pang iqin queued to board.
"Farewell!" Pang iqin waved while discreetly scanning the passengers. She was certain there were Conquerors among them.
Sure enough, a man in a coat and black hat was also scanning the crowd. His gaze t that of the stewardess with beautiful legs. After a brief mont of surprise, his expression turned feral.
"This is bad—the train station is dood. Who knows how many days this will delay things?"
"Guess I’ll have to find another mode of transportation. Damn it, what use is he? Why is his reaction so slow!"
So teams were furious that their mbers had missed this earliest train. Not everyone had chosen a route like Pang iqin, but most had planned to take the train. Now with the explosion, delays were inevitable.
For those watching on screens, they couldn’t kill the newsboy with their eyes. So, after half an hour, the boy pressed the pocket watch modified into a detonator to adjust the ti.
Boom! The explosion hurled surrounding debris. The shockwave rolled fiery flas out from the train station, blowing the newsboy’s hair back.
The newsboy froze in fear and imdiately turned to run, forgetting all about the promised pounds.
The train’s poor suspension caused a persistent rattling as it clattered along. Even the carriages swayed slightly, combined with over an hour of monotonous travel making passengers drowsy.
"Should I blow up the carriages and take them out?" Pang iqin hesitated. She still had so explosives left. Even if she couldn’t kill them, she could detach the rear carriages. But doing so would likely stop the entire train.
"This isn’t good, iqin is falling into a pattern of inertia!" Watching the train pass through the small town and across the open field, Dantai frowned.
"She could just take the train head and leave!" Yin Shangwu pondered. "There’s no need to wait until the final station. She could jump off early without worrying about complications!"
"They’re all studying the titable, probably planning to act after the second-to-last stop. If they detach the train head too early, it’ll definitely get stopped at the midway stations for questioning." Lu Fan ran back, wiping sweat from his forehead. "There are sixty-eight Conquerors on the train!"
Pang iqin glanced at the carriage connection point. Through the glass, she saw the coat-wearing man reappear, stealthily observing her.
"Should I attack directly and take him out?" Pang iqin considered but quickly discarded the idea. The train carriage was full of people. Starting a fight would draw too much attention, leaving her trapped.
The stewardess with beautiful legs swept her gaze around, examining passengers. Suddenly, her eyes focused sharply.
"What’s wrong?" Yu Deye was puzzled, following her gaze to a woman sitting ahead. There didn’t seem to be anything unusual.
Since others from the surrounding teams were sitting nearby, the more astute mbers of the Warhamr Team didn’t explain.
"Fool, that woman is wearing an earring—clearly not sothing from the industrial era." Lu Fan grumbled silently in his mind.
Pang iqin instinctively touched her ear and quickly removed the earring. Fortunately, its design was ordinary. But now she might have been marked herself.
The earring woman stood up and walked toward the carriage connection point.
"Is she heading to the toilet?" Pang iqin hesitated for a mont, then stood up to follow. As a Conqueror without any abilities, all her points had gone into strengthening her physical attributes. Unless facing top-tier figures, she was physically superior to most.
Pang iqin stood near the restroom, adopting a look of anxious waiting.
The earring woman opened the door and walked out, glancing at Pang iqin without much attention. She was about to leave when the sharp sound of air being torn reached her ears.
"Not good!" The earring woman was alard, readying her counterattack, but pain blood in her abdon.
The distance was too close. Pang iqin’s full-force strike was lightning quick, making it impossible for the earring woman to dodge. However, there was no result—her protective clothing blocked the ordinary dagger.
The earring woman’s spirits lifted. Her right hand reached for her own dagger, stabbing at Pang iqin in a flash. Neither woman scread due to their identities.
Having failed in her ambush, Pang iqin didn’t lose her composure. She grabbed the earring woman’s wrist and thrust her dagger toward the woman’s eye socket, simultaneously using her body weight to push her into the restroom.
Bang! The two won collided inside. The loud noise caused passengers to glance toward the direction, but they saw nothing.
The earring woman’s back slamd against the tal train wall. Pain contorted her brow. Before she could lift her knee, Pang iqin’s knee ramd into her abdon, twisting her expression further.
Unable to unleash an explosive attack or use abilities, both could only rely on pure physical strength. For the first ti since entering the Trojan Horse Ga, Pang iqin had the upper hand.
The earring woman’s imnse strength—enough to tear apart an elephant—was no match for Pang iqin’s even more brutal power. Attack after attack was fended off.
Bang! The earring woman’s forehead struck the iron wall of the carriage. Blood stread across her face. Before she could lose consciousness, a dagger plunged deep into her eye socket.
Hiss—blood spurted forth, staining the train wall.
Pang iqin let go as the corpse, eyes wide open, slumped to the floor.
She tore off the woman’s clothes, cleaned off the bloodstains, and walked out of the restroom with a calm expression. Feeling sothing wet on her face, she wiped it with the back of her hand and saw blood.
The stewardess’s cheek had been grazed. She didn’t care, picked up her suitcase in advance, and headed toward the carriage near the train head. Of course, she didn’t forget to leave a bomb under the seat.
The coat-wearing man, realizing Pang iqin was missing, grew anxious and imdiately started tracking her.
"Two pieces of prey!" A European man folded the newspaper covering his cheek, watching them disappear down the aisle with a sinister smile.
After the last stop, a third of the Conquerors who had boarded began converging toward the train head, evidently with similar intentions.
Spotting Pang iqin in the first carriage, the coat-wearing man moved to strike. With a ruthless smile full of confidence, he flung his coat open to reach the shotgun hidden underneath.
As a Beastification System user, he had every reason to feel proud. These restrictions seed tailor-made for him.
But the next second, his expression changed. Years of slaughter had honed his sharp instincts. Danger was imminent.
"Too late!" Pang iqin stared coldly at the man, who leapt forward trying to draw his gun and fire. She pressed the detonator.
Boom! The explosion tore through half the carriage, shattering the glass into shards and filling the air with flying debris. Flas surged from the broken windows, leaving scorched black patches in their wake.
Nearby, over a dozen passengers were killed instantly. The rest scread in terror, covering their heads and crouching low.
"So cool!" Lu Fan clapped excitedly, cheering, "Since when did iqin get so clever?"
"It’s not cleverness—it’s experience. If you know the enemy’s coming, wouldn’t you set a trap to wait for them?" Dantai chuckled. "That guy must’ve been a Beastification System user; otherwise, he wouldn’t be so cocky."
The expressions of many other team mbers weren’t pleasant. Their shifting gazes swept toward Tang Zheng and his group. That woman didn’t even seem like a key player in the Warhamr Team, yet she was this formidable. If it were soone else, wouldn’t they be even harder to deal with?
The Beastification System lacked head protection and equipnt defense. Trapped at the center of an explosion, the coat-wearing man was undoubtedly dood.
Attracted by the commotion, more Conquerors began gathering, clearly identifying the Warhamr Team as a formidable rival.
"Apologies, NPCs, but I must win this round." Ignoring the screams of the passengers, Pang iqin revealed herself. She opened the suitcase and took out a Winchester shotgun, aiming it at a woman who was screaming yet displaying little actual fear.
"I’ve been spotted!" The short-haired woman jumped aside in alarm, pulling out a revolver and firing.
Bang, bang, bang—the gunshots rang out in succession.
"Looks like I got lucky!" Pang iqin hadn’t even realized the woman was a Conqueror. She’d rely noticed the strange expression on her face and the low posture while sneaking glances at her. Testing her suspicion with a quick shot, she’d flushed out a big target.
Pang iqin felt no pressure when it ca to killing NPC-like figures.
Ordinary firearms at such a range could do little harm to Conquerors. Pang iqin discarded the Winchester, charging aggressively at the short-haired woman.
The short-haired woman felt intimidated by Pang iqin’s confidence. Where did this boldness co from? Did she have an assured way to win?
"Distracted during a fight? You’re underestimating ?" Pang iqin growled, swinging a heavy fist toward the woman’s head.
