1114: Chapter 78: Return and Evaluation 1114: Chapter 78: Return and Evaluation Shi Tianxu’s Seed Ability was Spirit Beasts Surge, while Susano was a parasitic ability he had pleaded for from the group leader, causing so delay in its usage, which led to it inadvertently injuring himself at a critical mont.
When the warrior appeared, his warhamr swung, blocking the tachi and sending sparks flying.
Then a kick was launched, sending Susano flying.
Tang Zheng clutched Shi Tianxu, smashing him vehently to the ground.
Dozens of spirit beasts appeared around them, lunging at him, only to be beaten away with Shi Tianxu’s body, which he used like a human flesh wolf-tooth club.
Struck by Holy Angel’s Eagle, a Rabbit Explosive stuck to Shi Tianxu’s body.
Following an explosive command from Tang Zheng, it detonated, blasting open Shi Tianxu’s protective clothing.
He had only recently reached Third-order and didn’t have Firefly, using a reinforced version of the Unicorn Protective Clothing, which couldn’t withstand Tang Zheng’s attack.
The Devil Fla Pistol fired, shattering one of Shi Tianxu’s shoulders, blowing through the floor.
Had he not tilted his head, he would have certainly beco a headless corpse.
“Brother Tang!” Jing Xiang cried with joy and relief, feeling the aftermath of a narrow escape, but witnessing the decapitated corpse of Yu Manli covered her face with sorrow instead.
The gap between Third-order and Hero Mode seed insurmountable.
Shi Tianxu knew he could not escape his fate.
He tried to signal the group leader, but Tang Zheng’s relentless assault, like a fierce storm, left no room for any.
Boom, Tang Zheng’s fist smashed right into Shi Tianxu’s nose, blood splattering everywhere.
The opponent pulled out a dagger aiming to slash the throat, but Tang Zheng caught his wrist and turned it back on him.
Even though Shi Tianxu twisted his head to dodge, his cheek still got sliced, revealing his cheekbone.
However, as a Third-order Conqueror with a mature mind and strong will, he was unfazed, reaching over his thigh with his left hand to draw a Desert Eagle, and brandishing a gunfight.
Bang, bang, the bullets fired in quick succession.
Tang Zheng dodged, the bullets grazing his cheek and body without hurting a single hair.
“Bringing an S-class weapon just to show off?” Tang Zheng wielded the Devil Fla in his right hand and an M9 in his left, engrossed in battle with Shi Tianxu.
Though he was not versed in gun-fighting arts, his superior physical abilities still dominated over Shi Tianxu.
“You overestimate your capabilities.” Just from seeing Tang Zheng’s movents, Shi Tianxu knew his close-range gun-fighting was not as good as his own.
Yet, within three moves, he got shot, his kidney blown away, and his waist shattered.
“SS-level defense?
Group leader level character?” Shi Tianxu revealed a wry smile.
He really was unlucky — the enemy’s firearms and defense were superior, his Desert Eagle was top-grade equipnt, and yet, his bullets with explosive effects rely tickled the protective clothing, whereas the enemy’s bullets not only penetrated his shield but inflicted severe injury with a single hit.
“And SS-class firearms too!” Shi Tianxu stared enviously at the splendid Devil Fla in Tang Zheng’s hand.
Bang, bang, Tang Zheng used targeted attacks; each shot tore away large chunks of Flesh from Shi Tianxu, splattering blood on the wall behind him.
Everywhere the two went, traces of blood were left.
Spirit beasts also charged in to assist, but before they could get close, they were shattered by a storm barrage launched by Tang Zheng.
“Tang Zheng, please note, teleportation begins in twenty seconds!”
“Opportunity!” Hearing the announcent from the speaker of his Space Wristwatch, Shi Tianxu was invigorated, he bit down on a Healing Potion embedded in his teeth, planning to delay the ti when a bullet headed straight for his face.
“How could I die?” The last thoughts that surged through Shi Tianxu’s heart were of unwillingness, followed imdiately by his head being blown open, his yellow Mohican hair singed, fluttering like straw.
The headless corpse, due to inertia, smashed into the wall with a thud.
Tang Zheng stood beside, gun aid, shooting straight at his heart, blowing a big hole in his chest.
The spirit beasts vanished, Xu Liangmao and Jing Xiang were saved.
Tang Zheng quickly picked up Shi Tianxu’s Space Wristwatch, dashed to Yu Manli’s side, retrieved her Wristwatch, and then teleported away.
Looking at the corpse of Yu Manli, Tang Zheng drew a deep sigh.
Entering in the eighth match, dying in the fourteenth; considering her experience, Yu Manli was a veteran.
Had she followed Tang Zheng earlier, integrated into the team without so much reservation, her experience and strength could have easily earned her ten thousand points to leave.
The War Hamr Team and the Japanese Team returned to the Trojan Room in the Aricas Zone.
Just as Tang Zheng’s trio left, a woman dressed in ninja attire, carrying a tachi, appeared in the Holy Angel Hotel.
Using a white spirit beast skilled in tracking, she located the thirty-second floor and then discovered Shi Tianxu’s corpse.
Monts later, the female ninja returned to a building, reporting to the group leader at the window watching the roaring flas outside.
“Good that he died.
His personality was ultimately a ticking ti bomb,” said the female group leader in priestess attire, showing no regret as if she had disposed of a piece of worthless junk, “Quickly gather the group mbers and complete the mission!”
Anna, the prostitute, stood in the suburbs with her child, observing the City of God engulfed in flas, her feelings complex, turning eventually to relief.
“Lucky I left early!” Having been with Tang Zheng through a series of events, Anna had a realization – rather than suffering in the city, it was better to return to the countryside of her hotown.
The salary she had received from Tang Zheng was enough for a comfortable life.
“Perhaps I can even start a new romance.” With no attachnts, Anna and her child embarked on their howard journey.
…
Back in the Trojan Room, looking at the familiar pale white walls, Tang Zheng imdiately searched all the rooms.
As expected, Rogers had already left.
“Yu Manli is really dead!” Pang iqin felt nothing, as she had no connection with the mature woman anyway.
Ruan Feifei remained silent, feeling a bit sorrowful like ‘a rabbit mourns the death of a fox,’ since she and the mature woman were contemporaries, and they had a fairly good relationship.
From now on, she would have to strive alone.
At that mont, she truly wanted to integrate into this team quickly and remove the barriers between her and Tang Zheng.
Li Xinlan sighed and said nothing.
Teng Yuangxiang simply didn’t care about others; she only thought about how many points she could earn and what she should buy to save her life.
When she heard Xu Liangmao say that Tang Zheng had killed a Conqueror, she was sure that the group leader must have collected Yu Manli’s Space Wristwatch, and she wanted the equipnt inside it.
“Trojan, treat everyone’s injuries!” Dantai wasn’t a sentintal person; he wanted to know the reason, “Why was there a Japanese Conqueror?”
The Red Trojan Horse played a lyrical version of the International Song, spinning as it floated up, and the screen lit up.
“Congratulations to all the survivors for killing the demon mayor, clearing Sin City, and returning safely.
Now, heal your injuries!”
A white beam of light shot out from the cube, enveloping every survivor, and their injuries instantly healed.
It was the first ti the Japanese rookie had seen such a miraculous healing thod, and he expressed his astonishnt repeatedly.
“Trojan, can you answer my question?
I can pay points to inquire,” Dantai persisted.
“Sorry, I can only tell you that it was a secondary teleport.
Even if you pay points, your level isn’t high enough to qualify,” the Trojan denied Dantai’s request, “Even the fearless ones can’t.”
“Now let’s begin scoring, starting with the Japanese Team!” The screen lit up with Aihara Chiharu’s portrait; the survivors fell silent, staring at the cube.
“Aihara Chiharu, a kind and naive girl, guilty over the death of Aoki Hiroshi, secretly in love with Tang Zheng.
If you don’t change this personality, you will eventually et your death—400 points, reward: one Black Iron Seed, D-level evaluation.”
Even though it was their first evaluation, the Japanese knew the score wasn’t high.
However, Aihara Chiharu didn’t care about the scores; she was more embarrassed by the ntion of her crush on Tang Zheng.
She blushed, keeping her head down, unable to face anyone, but she sneakily glanced at Tang Zheng and felt dejected when she realized he wasn’t looking at her at all.
“Group leader, impressive!” Sha Ou teased Tang Zheng, giving a thumbs up.
“Sekiya Ganta, a stern samurai with ticulous standards of conduct, a strong supporter of the engineer camp—850 points, reward: one Black Iron Seed, D-level evaluation.”
“Lord Tang, no matter what, I must thank you this ti!” Sekiya Ganta knew Tang Zheng had killed a Japanese Conqueror at the end, but still approached him, bowing deeply, “The next ti we et, we might be enemies, and I won’t hold back!”
“Neither will I!” Tang Zheng didn’t speak any further with Sekiya; this man’s performance in the ga had won his favor, so he wouldn’t deceitfully say they were still friends.
If they must fight, then let it be a fair battle.
“Ota Nobe, a nobody with good luck, just lacking so foresight on investnts—600 points, reward: one Black Iron Seed, D-level evaluation.”
“Living is good enough,” Ota Nobe sighed in relief, keeping any discontent toward Asakura Sakura to himself.
“Kawagawa Shingo, a true elite suited for this ga, cold-blooded, decisive, and scheming.
If he survives three rounds, he is certain to stand out—1200 points, reward: one Bronze Seed, C-level evaluation.”
Kawagawa Shingo stood behind Asakura Sakura, covering his mouth and coughing, ignoring the glances from around, seemingly like a vassal from ancient tis.
“Asakura Sakura, a woman who commands respect, too bad you didn’t enter into a Conqueror’s bye ga scenario, definitely could have scored high.
You still have so minor issues to address, though they don’t stop you from being a qualified group leader—1500 points, C-level evaluation, reward: one Bronze Seed.”
Such high praise made even Dantai give Asakura Sakura a probing look; she didn’t have Seed Ability, yet scored the highest in the Japanese Team, which spoke volus about her excellence.
“It would have been better just to kill her,” Teng Yuangxiang muttered, pouting, quite discontent.
Asakura Sakura remained expressionless; internally, however, she was fiercely berating her incompetence, upset at just scoring a thousand or so points, which was a disgrace to the Asakura family.
She wanted to ask about Tang Zheng’s rookie score, but couldn’t bring herself to ask.
“Trojan, how many points did Tang Zheng score in his first ga?” Kagawa was adept at reading the room; he knew what Asakura wanted to hear.
“4500 points, the holder of the rookie scoring record.
Also, let add that we have a fourth!” Teng Yuangxiang announced Tang Zheng’s score proudly.
The eyes of the Japanese swept over, clearly skeptical.
