"This is where you’ll be staying for the night," said Lucas.

They arrived at a house located quite far from Reinhard’s main residence. The house had two floors with a front yard which wasn’t very spacious. Even so, Reinhard tried to make them comfortable there.

"Thank you," said Aiden.

"No problem. The maids will help you. So, don’t hesitate to ask them for help," said Lucas.

"Sure."

Lucas said goodbye. He walked back to Reinhard’s residence, leaving Aiden with his group in the safe house.

Aurora walked in and saw that the house was exactly how she had imagined it, with a front yard, two floors, clean walls with neat paint, and luxurious furniture.

Not only Aurora, but Amber and the others also admired the luxury they had been given. Aiden arrived inside the house and admitted that Reinhard’s safe house was much better than a typical inn room.

"Welco to Reinhard’s safe house, Sir Aiden. Let show you to your rooms," said a servant.

There was not one, but seven maids ready to serve them during Aiden’s group’s stay at the safe house. Aiden was silent, wondering why Henry had spent so much money on an independent group.

"You can go to your rooms, but Rachel can’t," explained Aiden, surprising Rachel.

"?" Rachel asked, pointing at herself with a confused expression.

"Yes. There’s sothing I need to give you, and now might be the right ti," Aiden explained.

Rachel fell silent, glancing at Aurora and the others. In the end, Rachel nodded obediently. She and Aiden stepped outside and arrived in the backyard.

"What are you going to do, Master Aiden?" Rachel asked.

The two sat cross-legged on the grass, looking at each other. Aiden had kept the item for too long and hadn’t given it to Rachel yet. He thought Rachel wasn’t ready to receive the items.

But after all the journeys they had been through together, Rachel’s strength had increased significantly. With that, Aiden was sure it was ti for Rachel to receive the items Villar had entrusted to him.

Aiden tapped his magic pouch, revealing another black magic pouch ant solely for Rachel. Rachel was still confused, her hands stretched out to receive the magic pouch.

"At that ti, I received this magic pouch from your father, King Villar. He was trapped in a dungeon and turned into a Black Dragon Undead," Aiden explained.

"I suspect it was a fragnt of your father’s soul that he sealed to protect the pyramid until soone fated to co arrived," said Aiden.

"My father’s magic pouch?"

"You can look inside. There are so items I don’t understand, but perhaps the Shadow Dragon instincts within you can tell what they are," requested Aiden.

Rachel cleared her throat. Without hesitation, Rachel touched the black magic pouch and looked inside. To her shock, Rachel saw many items with dark attributes, just like her own.

"Wait! All these items—"

"Yes. They are items with dark attributes, just like yours," Aiden interrupted.

Rachel picked up several items that caught her attention, such as a necklace, a gem, and even a bone artifact and a black-bladed sword. All the items she took appeared to float in front of her.

"I don’t know why, but these items seem to be connected to my darkness attribute," Rachel explained, still staring at the items.

She took the necklace and touched it with her hand. A black dark magic aura burst forth from Rachel’s body, surprising Aiden. Aiden gathered fire magic in his hands and directed it forward.

A do of fire ford and trapped Rachel inside. Even so, Aiden could feel the dark energy growing stronger, forcing him to use his best abilities to help Rachel.

THUMP!

A magical fluctuation was felt throughout the safe house, Aurora and the others felt it. They rushed out of their rooms to get to the center of the magical explosion. There, they saw Aiden trapping Rachel in a do of fire.

"What’s happening?

"The magical energy within Rachel awakened after she touched her family heirloom. I don’t know what’s happening to her," Aiden explained.

"Stop it before anyone else finds out!" Aurora said firmly.

"I can’t!"

"Only Rachel can do that."

Aiden turned and stared intently at Aurora and Amber. He ordered them to form a protective wall around the safe house to prevent Rachel’s magical fluctuations from spreading further.

Aurora and Amber exchanged glances, then nodded. They returned inside the house and began performing manipulation magic, creating a magical do combining two elents: ice and fire.

Two pillars of energy shot into the sky, then exploded, creating a do that could protect the safe house for a while.

Joe was ordered by Aiden to go to the front yard and keep watch in case any bad people ca to take advantage of the situation.

Now, only Aiden remained at the location, struggling to contain the dark energy surging from Rachel’s body. After a few minutes, Aiden felt the dark energy from Rachel weaken and fade.

"How is it?" Aurora asked.

"She seems to be able to control it," Aiden replied.

Once it was safe, Aiden slowly opened the fire do and saw Rachel slumped over, clutching the family heirloom necklace tightly.

"Rachel?"

"Are you alright?" Aiden asked gently.

Suddenly, Rachel lifted her head and stared at Aiden. Her eyes were filled with dense dark magic, and her mind seed to be controlled by its energy.

CHOKE!

Rachel moved forward quickly and grabbed Aiden’s neck. The girl unleashed a terrifying power that surpassed anything Aiden had imagined.

"She’s been possessed by a dark power," explained Aiden.

[Magic Elent: Chain of Fla!]

A magic portal appeared and released chains of fla that bound Rachel’s neck, both hands, stomach, and both feet. The chains of fla managed to free Aiden from Rachel’s grip, but the girl’s chokehold left red marks on Aiden’s neck.

"Aiden! Are you alright?," asked Aurora.

"I’m fine," explained Aiden.

’Her power has increased significantly. Is it because of the necklace?,’ wondered Aiden.

"I need to calm the magical turmoil in her body. Only the elent of light can effectively neutralize it, Aiden explained.

The young man stepped forward, causing a flash of light energy to appear from his palm. Slowly, Aiden placed his palm on Rachel’s forehead, causing a battle between two opposing energies.

The black magical aura clashed with the light magical energy. Aiden tried to purify the dark energy from Rachel’s body by neutralizing it. But he didn’t know the exact spell to do it.

He could only suppress the dark power with his light energy!

"You have to fight the dark power, Rachel!"

"If you don’t, it will take control of you!"

"HYAAAAH!"

Rachel screams loudly, a pillar of darkness erges from her body and rises high into the sky. From it, Aiden was shocked to see a dragon appear and unleash magical pressure on everyone in the safe house.

Aiden imdiately bowed his head, as did Aurora and the others. They felt the pressure of the magic was equal to that of the Fire Dragon King, Arthur.

"I knew it. The necklace contains the magical traces of King Villar," Aiden explained.

"Human!" the black dragon said, flying in front of Aiden.

"Are you worthy of my daughter’s power?" the black dragon asked.

"She’s our friend, not a weapon!" Aiden said firmly.

"NAIVE!"

"Humans always treat dragons like weapons!"

The pressure of the magic grew stronger, forcing Aiden to crouch down. He had no choice; Aiden had to defeat the dragon.

"Rachel is our friend! I don’t take her as a weapon!" Aiden said firmly.

With all his strength, Aiden tried to get up and stand tall, "If you try to control her, then I will fight you!"
