As Lucifer shot up his middle finger to flip off the system over and over again, Li Yan looked up at him talking to himself. She was a little curious about what he was doing, but more than that, she didn't care.
Li Yan was a very uncaring person, and that personality quirk would likely never change.
But regardless of the weirdness of all parties involved in this little debacle, the small group had already made their way to a mountain. Below this mountain, there was an injured woman and two even more severely injured old n fighting off a monocle-wearing man with a goatee. Standing behind this man was a large, muscular bodybuilder man.
Of course, both of them were clones that underwent a couple rounds of Heavenly Transfiguration. But in spite of that fact, they imdiately looked in the sa direction upon feeling a familiar presence.
When they saw their main body, they calculated accordingly and threw a smoke bomb down. Then, under the astonished eyes of Lady Mu and her guards, their opponents vanished.
However, they weren't allowed to be shocked for long because an all-too-familiar man materialized from thin air.
"!!!" Lady Mu's eyes widened in surprise as she felt the imnse aura leaking from her son.
With her far above average intelligence, she reached the only natural conclusion for this inexplicable phenonon.
"The devil… You have been possessed by a demon… Or maybe even a wandering soul…"
Lady Mu recounted all the slight peculiarities of her son over the last few months and seemingly understood everything.
"Y-You… Who are you…?" She mumbled.
She lost her composure for the first ti in a long while as she tripped a little on her heels.
Looking at the state of his mother, an evil grin erged on Lucifer's overly handso face. Then, with a playful tone, he said, "You don't even recognize your own son~? Isn't that just so cruel~?"
As his smile reached an all-ti high, he briefly shot his predatory gaze toward the two shocked Grand Elders.
"!!!" "!!!"
The both of them had an extrely bad feeling about that look in his eyes. And as if on instinct, they tried to appease whatever was growing inside the 18-year-old boy.
"Martial Nephew, Lucifer! You know us, so why are you giving us those looks-!?"
"We are all one big family, so why don't we take a step back-?"
SHING! SHING!
Without even giving them a chance to finish their pleas, two absurdly thin, crimson-colored strings of Sword Qi shot out from Lucifer's left side. Then, with utter ruthlessness, those strings of Qi wrapped around the bodies of the Grand Elders.
"!!!" "!!!"
The elders tried to escape the sword strings. However, the mont they moved, the strings tightened to a level beyond belief. Then, like a waterlon surrounded by rubber bands, their bodies exploded!
BLING!
[Ding! You have killed two Grand Elders of the Devilduke Household. The reward is 20 Undecillion Clone Essence!]
Following the ringing of this system notification, Lucifer focused his attention back on his dear mummy.
"!?!?"
Lady Mu didn't need to be a genius to understand that she was absolutely f*cked!
Without hesitation, she fumbled away from the scene, trying to call out to one of the Supre Elders.
"Are any of you still alive!? My son has been possessed by a devil!! Since the beginning, he has been-"
"Mummy, what might you be doing with that super expensive one-ti use communication talisman~?"
Lucifer appeared above the fleeing Lady Mu. While floating upside down like a vampire, he quickly snatched up the dallion she had in her hands. After which, an amused glint erged in his gaze as he smashed the talisman within his palms.
Crumble—
"!!!"
Lady Mu lost all the color in her face.
Piang!
Watching her useless son do a sorsault from his floating position, she imdiately understood that he didn't even consider her a threat...
"I put you in this world, Lucifer! Even if you were possessed by a devil, do you doubt whether I'm able to take you out of it!?"
Lady Mu gave up on any hope of escaping. Instead, she took a route that could take advantage of Lucifer's previous inferiority complex.
'Even at this point in ti, she is a calculative and slippery woman.'
If this woman were actually his mother, then Lucifer might actually believe they were related. But, unfortunately for her, they were the furthest thing from being family.
In spite of that information, he beckoned to a nearby tree. After which, a young 6-year-old girl walked out from behind the tree. Approaching the two of them, her face never exhibited anything other than apathy.
Lady Mu's eyes widened in astonishnt when she saw who it was. Then, without thinking, she said, "Damn Li Yan! Didn't I tell you to not leave your cage!? Have I not hit you enough for you to learn yet-!? Hupp!" She hastily covered her mouth and looked toward the devilish man.
Upon observing the evil expression he was making, she knew that there truly was no way out of this disaster…
Regardless of Lady Mu's despair, Li Yan walked up to Lucifer and lightly grabbed onto the hem of his robes. After which, she stared at her mother.
"M-My dear, you must know that everything I said just now was a joke. I would never hit you, and you know that very well."
Changing her tune in an instant, Lady Mu attempted to appease the emotionless girl.
She even put on a fake smile and spoke in a friendly tone!
However, from the very first mont Lady Mu opened her mouth, it didn't seem like Li Yan cared a single bit about anything she said...
