Chapter 518: Section 305: Holy Artifact Golden Finger
Within this commonly used active sea chart, it often recorded the Dragon Lion rcenary Corps’ recent route and potentially future navigational plans, holding precious intelligence.
After the mysterious figure opened it, they took a look only to find it less informative than the intelligence regarding the Dragon Lion rcenary Corps.
Because this active map was bought by the Dragon Lion rcenary Corps at Twin Eyes Island, the previous routes were not recorded.
The Dragon Lion rcenary Corps weren’t true arms smugglers, their destination was the Royal Capital of the Ice Sculpture Kingdom.
What happens next depends on how things develop.
The mysterious figure, not giving up, examined the active map in more detail.
Hoping that this map contained more covert records, which are usually hidden.
In fact, there are many such sea charts.
Especially the active sea charts used by pirates, which are like this. A surface layer of information with more truthful and secret intelligence hidden underneath.
However, after studying it, the mysterious figure only found disappointnt, having confird that this was just an ordinary sea chart.
While rifling through the drawers of the Dragon-man youth’s desk, the mysterious figure ca across a pile of invitation letters.
They glanced at these invitations, morizing the various powers that had sent the invitations in their heart.
“There’s no secret compartnt here, nor a hidden treasure box,” the mysterious figure said, disappointed, yet subconsciously glancing at the floor beneath their feet, “It seems that today’s goods are all hidden in the cabin below.”
One of the main purposes of the mysterious figure’s visit was to steal the Golden Level equipnt that the Dragon Lion rcenary Corps had just purchased.
Having found nothing in the Captain’s room, the mysterious figure imdiately left.
They arrived at a set of stairs and were about to descend.
At that mont, a pair of patrolling rcenaries just happened to climb up the stairs.
The mysterious figure quickly stepped aside.
Although they were invisible, they still had a physical presence. They couldn’t ignore physical laws like a ghost or incorporeal being and pass directly through objects.
“There sure are a lot of patrols here.”
“And, the patrol routes are very strict,” the mysterious figure remarked with a sigh.
While stepping aside, the mysterious figure once again took out the tomato clock from their pocket.
Opening it, they quietly noted how much ti remained.
The patrol team moved on.
Unaware of the mysterious figure’s close proximity.
The mysterious figure followed the stairs down to the second deck without issue.
Following their prior actions and routine, they quickly checked the cabins along the way.
Their movents were silent.
The tomato clock perfectly concealed their presence.
As ti passed, the mysterious figure grew increasingly anxious, having not found their target.
A patrol team walked by their side.
The team leader, Lan Zao, suddenly hesitated, casting a puzzled glance towards the spot where the mysterious figure stood.
His fellow rcenaries stopped, asking, “Lord Lan Zao, what’s wrong?”
Lan Zao shook his head with a wry smile, “Nothing.”
He had felt sothing was off but after a careful look, he saw nothing.
“It must have been an illusion,” Lan Zao thought to himself.
The mysterious figure stood still.
Their gaze fixed on Lan Zao’s retreating figure until he disappeared around the corner, only then did they shift their gaze.
Cold murderous intent flickered in the mysterious figure’s eyes.
Reflecting on the scene that had just unfolded.
Since boarding the Triangular Love Ship, it had been the first ti the mysterious figure had encountered the danger of being discovered.
“I’ve not found the cabin with the treasure, and my mind has grown anxious, even my movents have beco more pronounced.”
“Did that rcenary sense through the disturbance in the air?”
The mysterious figure had a physical presence, so any significant movent would change the air currents.
For a mont, they almost took action!
Lan Zao was rely of Bronze Level, and the rcenaries behind him were even more ordinary.
With the mysterious figure’s Golden Level strength, they could kill all of them in a re two seconds.
All the while, ensuring no sound was made.
Furthermore, within the next 10 seconds, the mysterious figure could swiftly dispose of their bodies, not leaving a trace at the scene.
But the mysterious figure suppressed the urge to kill and ultimately did not act.
“Such vigilant patrol routes and many patrol teams, it’s almost like a military camp.”
“There must be a communication thod between them and a code for relaying urgent ssages.”
“If any patrol team is delayed even slightly, the whole system will notice. Killing them would be easy, yet if this group of n went missing, it would surely trigger the entire system’s alarm!”
It was this consideration that kept the mysterious figure from acting.
“Half the ti has already been used up,” the mysterious figure opened the tomato clock again, frowning.
His ti was running out.
The mysterious figure decided to use his Combat Skill to search for the Golden Equipnt.
After he unleashed the Combat Skill, there was no effect whatsoever.
This Fighting energy was specifically for detection. Centered on the mysterious figure, it could capture the Transcendent aura within a certain range and feed it back into his mind.
Golden Level equipnt naturally carried a Golden Level aura.
However, people who generally collected such equipnt would place them inside treasure boxes.
Consequently, the aura was completely blocked and contained.
The mysterious figure’s attempt to search ended in failure, but it didn’t co as a surprise to him.
“In this situation, I have no choice but to take potions,” the mysterious figure sighed deeply.
Then, with a face resembling soone with constipation, he pulled out a portion of potion from his bosom.
He removed the stopper and tilted his head back to pour all of the potion into his mouth, then swallowed forcefully as his Adam’s apple bobbed.
The next mont, a pained expression surfaced on his face.
He opened his mouth wide, stuck out his tongue, leaned against the wall, and retched repeatedly.
The potion instantly stained his tongue an eerie shade of purple.
Throughout the retching, the mysterious figure’s nose and eyes ran with copious amounts of mucus and tears.
But no matter how loud the noises he made, they were masked by the ticking of the tomato clock.
And the mucus and tears he shed were carefully collected by him, vigilant to prevent any evidence of his intrusion.
After roughly half a minute, the mysterious figure finally recovered his composure.
Sniffing with his nostrils, he instantly caught a distinct scent.
Following the scent, he descended another deck to the lowest level of the Triangular Love Ship.
“This must be the place,” he pinpointed the cabin hiding the Golden Equipnt accurately.
The mysterious figure stretched out his hands, spreading all ten fingers, and gently placed his fingertips against the surface of the cabin door.
Golden ripples of Fighting energy spread outwards from the point of contact.
He quickly beca aware of the nurous arrangents behind the door.
The expression on the mysterious figure’s face turned solemn and serious.
For he felt the presence of many Magic Traps and a variety of intricate chanisms.
These chanisms and Magic Traps were interconnected, forming layers of tight security.
The slightest carelessness could set off the traps, ensnaring him instantly.
What’s more crucial was the risk of triggering an alarm, alerting the mbers of the Dragon Lion rcenary Corps.
For the mysterious figure, disarming these traps and chanisms was not a difficult task.
The survivors didn’t have high-end equipnt for such purposes.
And Zi Di, who arranged these Magic Traps, was considerably constrained by her Mage Level.
But for the mysterious figure, it was impossible to waste precious ti dismantling these traps and chanisms.
The heightened state granted by the tomato clock was ti-limited.
The mysterious figure then retrieved a Holy Artifact from his bosom.
The Holy Artifact was unique, resembling a goblin’s fingertip with a long, sharp nail at its end.
The finger was as if cast from solid gold, resplendent in its brilliance and heavy in hand.
This was the Holy Artifact—Golden Finger!
He gently touched the surface of the cabin door with the Golden Finger.
The mont it was activated, a surge of golden light flashed and vanished.
The commotion it caused was still shrouded by the ticking of the tomato clock.
In the blink of an eye, all the Magic Traps and chanisms near the door were immaculately disard, without setting off a single alarm.
The mysterious figure glanced at the Golden Finger, now dimd, and carefully tucked it back into his chest.
He pushed the door open, slipped inside, and then gently closed it behind him.
The entire process took less than a second.
The cabin was empty.
The mysterious figure paused in slight astonishnt.
At that very mont, another patrol team approached nearby.
The mysterious figure heard the footsteps of the patrol crew mbers.
The footsteps grew closer, seemingly headed straight for this cabin.
The mysterious figure sensed trouble brewing.
Having just disard every Magic Trap and chanism, it was impossible to rebuild them in an instant.
This was a significant vulnerability!
Even if the patrol team failed to see him, they could certainly discover that the Magic Traps and chanisms had been disard.
The mysterious figure narrowed his eyes slightly, and quietly drew his Dagger.
