"According to the hotel staff, Dai Mubai had taken three won to his room the night before last. After that, no one saw them leave, so they assud he was still... occupied.

"The Rose Hotel is searching for those three won, but it won't be easy to find them."

Lu Qibin glanced at the body. "Preserve Dai Mubai's remains. When Flender returns, maybe he'll spot sothing we missed."
Shao Xin and Li Yusong nodded.
Li Yusong added, "We can't rule out the possibility that soone is targeting Shrek Academy. Gather Xu Yunhan and the others. Keep them together for protection."
"I'll fetch them," Shao Xin said.
Soon, Oscar, Zhu Zhuqing, Ning Rongrong, and Xu Yunhan learned of Dai Mubai's death.
"Teacher Shao Xin... you're saying Dai Mubai is dead?"
Oscar stood frozen, unable to believe it.
Ning Rongrong frowned. "Murdered in Suotuo City? Any leads on the killer?"
Xu Yunhan remained calm, showing no unusual reaction. "What exactly happened?"
Zhu Zhuqing was also shocked. Though she had cut ties with Dai Mubai, his death still stirred sothing in her.
Shao Xin relayed the details.
"I knew it! A man like that was bound to die because of won. Serves him right!"
Ning Rongrong felt no sympathy. "He probably overexerted himself. Who says Soul Masters can't die like that?"
Oscar hesitated. "But... Dai Mubai played around all the ti. Nothing ever happened before."
Ning Rongrong scoffed. "Exactly! He pushed his luck until it ran out. His own fault."
Zhu Zhuqing's brief flicker of emotion faded. Dai Mubai had brought this upon himself.
She glanced at Xu Yunhan, relieved he wasn't the type to indulge recklessly.
Ahem. Shao Xin cut in. "Dai Mubai is gone. No need to speak ill of the dead.
"Whether he was murdered is still under investigation.
"If it was an assassination, was it personal? Or is soone targeting Shrek Academy? We don't know yet.
"For your safety, you'll be relocated to a secure area. Stay together until this is resolved."
They were moved to a courtyard with several rooms, where they and the three teachers would stay until Flender's return.
The atmosphere was heavy. No one could sleep. They sat around the dining table in silence.
Oscar sighed. "Who would've thought Dai Mubai would just... vanish like that? I should've stopped him."
Ning Rongrong rolled her eyes. "You can't save soone hellbent on destruction. Let this be a lesson to all you n!"
Oscar fell silent, embarrassed.
With nothing else to do, the four of them began cultivating.
Over the next few days, Lu Qibin found no traces of the killer—or even any clues.
The three won had fled Suotuo City. Their whereabouts were still unknown.
Xu Yunhan and the others spent their days training. Even he and Zhu Zhuqing restrained their affection during this tense period.
Ten days later—
"We found the won."
Lu Qibin returned with news.
"What did they say?" Li Yusong demanded.
Lu Qibin replied, "According to them, Dai Mubai suddenly stopped breathing during... the act. Terrified, they fled that sa night."
He died like that?
How absurd!
What a pathetic way to go.
Shao Xin, Li Yusong, and Lu Qibin were at a loss for words.
"Where are the won now?" Shao Xin asked.
They needed to interrogate them further—and have them ready for Flender's return.
Lu Qibin said, "They're outside, under guard."
Li Yusong stood. "Let's go question them."
The three left.
After intense interrogation, the won's story remained unchanged.
With no other leads, they had no choice but to wait. Pushing further might kill the won.
They would be kept alive until Flender returned for another round of questioning.
