"Tahiti Project? Tell more," Ross furrowed his brow, stepping closer to the agent in question. "I rember you had quite a few personnel back in S.H.I.E.L.D., and S.H.I.E.L.D. had initiated various classified plan materials. The goal was to preserve them as much as possible."
"Of course, sir," the agent began. "Let explain the Tahiti Project. When we received news of Nick Fury's death, our team focused on infiltrating S.H.I.E.L.D.'s top-secret plan materials vault. After a considerable effort, we managed to obtain detailed materials related to this plan."
"The Tahiti Project, short for 'Alien Body Organism Earth Assimilation Project,' was led by Nick Fury himself. Its primary objective was to research a thod for resurrecting humans without any side effects."
"The reason Nick Fury initiated this plan was due to S.H.I.E.L.D. obtaining a special item and learning about the existence of a unique alien species."
"Recorded by the Special Item Managent Bureau, this mysterious item was known as the 'Obelisk,' confird to be linked to the alien race known as the Kree. Additionally, Nick Fury discovered that a certain component within the Kree's bodies could serve as raw material for resurrection dicine."
"When we obtained these materials, the plan had already made significant progress. A type of dicine nad GH325 had been developed."
"Although we haven't found any research logs so far, according to the materials we obtained, this dicine was capable of resurrecting a human within a few minutes of their death."
Ross furrowed his brow. "Are you saying that Nick Fury led a top-secret experint to resurrect humans? Why would they do that?"
"According to the materials, Nick Fury had a pessimistic outlook on the future of the Avengers. He believed that there were too many unknown dangers in space, and once humanity ventured into space, sacrifices would be inevitable. As the vanguard force, the Avengers would be at the forefront."
"However, humanity couldn't afford to lose such valuable talents. Therefore, it was essential to have a ans of resurrecting them in case of any losses."
The room fell silent for a mont, and then General spoke up. "I must acknowledge that Nick Fury, the Agent King, lived up to his reputation. Or rather, rely serving as an agent would have been a waste of his foresight."
"Perhaps he foresaw that despite the exceptional abilities of the Avengers, they would still be insufficient to withstand internal and external threats. That's why he proposed this plan," General shook his head. "There won't be a better Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. than him."
"You ntioned that the raw material for this resurrection dicine is from alien body tissue. But where did Nick Fury obtain aliens on Earth?" Ross asked with so doubt. "He couldn't possibly have hidden Kree on Earth, could he?"
"The materials do not provide specific information about the origins of all the materials, but when it cos to the raw material for the human experints... According to the records, it was obtained from Hydra, which S.H.I.E.L.D. had arrested."
The agent hesitated while delivering this information, but no one in the room seed to mind. One of the generals even waved a hand dismissively. "I never thought those trash could be of any use here."
"Get to the point," Ross emphasized. "Where is this GH325 dicine? Has its capabilities been tested?"
"We've only found a small amount of samples, and unfortunately, none of the materials specify the dosage or usage instructions. Imdiately after we received news of Nick Fury's death, our team seized the director's office and storage rooms, which held the most important materials."
"However, Nick Fury had set up a system that would automatically destroy critical materials if he went missing for a certain period. We suspect that those crucial materials may have been destroyed."
Ross pounded the wall in frustration. "Professor X can only delay that lunatic for so long. Moreover, our past policies toward mutants have made them completely distrust us. Charles Xavier probably won't be willing to help us, and he'll disappear as soon as he gains an advantage."
"Three days, we have only three days to find a solution. Otherwise, there won't be another Professor X to save us."
"And if mutants can't assist us, then we're left with only one choice: finding a way to resurrect the fallen Avengers, especially Iron Man, Captain Arica, and Spider-Man, Schiller's close friends and family, to persuade him."
"But three days? How can we develop a resurrection dicine with just a few samples? The most crucial issue is that we haven't even located their corpses."
General cleared his throat gently, and Ross reluctantly stepped back. General spoke up, his voice solemn, "Initially, resurrection was nothing but a fantasy. We couldn't consider it as an option. However, now, Nick Fury's research findings have given us a chance. We have the world's best researchers; we must try."
"We'll send so teams to search for the corpses and others to bring all the materials and samples. Summon experts from the fields of dicine, pharmacy, and biology... No, that would attract too much attention. Let's focus on the very best individuals."
"Tell them that within three days, they must develop a resurrection dicine. Otherwise, we'll have to pray to God for help."
"Are you telling to develop a resurrection dicine for humans within three days?" Connors closed his eyes, sighed, and looked at the agent in front of him. "Do you need to teach you how to write 'daydreaming' in a few words?"
"I am a biologist, not a deity. Even if you find God, he would find your absurd ideas laughable," Dr. Connors remarked with a hint of sarcasm.
"Dr. Connors, we are not asking you to start from scratch. We've handed over all the materials from the Tahiti Project to you because you are the most likely among our researchers to complete this task," an agent approached, speaking earnestly.
"All the materials? What do you have in those materials, apart from a brief explanation of the plan's purpose?" Connors retorted. "Where are the experintal logs? The composition analysis? The subject response records? What kind of materials are these? You might as well give a biology textbook!"
"Doctor," another female agent stepped forward, pleading, "Your ability to invent regenerative dicine for humans is just one of your great achievents. We implore you to use your talents and wisdom to save humanity. You must do this..."
"Do you know that the more you insist, the more nauseated I feel? Your every action and tone are telling , where you really co from."
Connors pressed his lips together, and behind his glasses, his eyes carried a chilling resolve as he continued, "You only know that I invented regenerative dicine for amputations. Did anyone tell you why I invented this dicine?"
"Many years ago, you told the sa thing. You said I could save humanity, that by enlisting and going to the battlefield, I could uphold world peace. Like young people with dreams, I entered the military and participated in those unjust wars you initiated."
Connors' words grew increasingly impassioned. "Amidst the gunfire and cries on the battlefield, I saw no hope for human progress. So, I dragged my broken body back to this country, thinking that I had a family waiting for ."
"I never needed material support from my family; all I hoped for was so comfort from them."
"But when I lost an arm, people like you, who co from the sa place, told that I'd better leave because I was useless."
"Others who shared my experiences, without my educational background, could only crawl into dark corners, barely surviving."
"And you, besides turning a blind eye to all this, continue to use your deceptive words to manipulate the ignorant."
"You've given them too little knowledge and stirred up too much emotion to the point where they had no choice but to beco tools and sacrifices."
Connors looked at the agent opposite him and said, "Just a few days ago, I received news of the death of my favorite student, Peter Parker. I'm sure you used the sa sense of responsibility to deceive him, to make him beco what, a Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.? He was never capable of that."
"Like all the people you deceived, he died in a scam, and none of you are willing to take responsibility for it. You just think he was ddleso."
Connors raised the materials in his hand and said, "I know you'll say this can also be used to resurrect Peter Parker, but I know that if he were still alive, he wouldn't want to see his teacher working for his enemies."
"Dr. Connors!" The agent's expression turned cold, and he said, "We're just following orders. We can't refuse this command, and neither can you."
"Look, this is your last resort..." Connors turned away, looking at the New York skyline outside the floor-to-ceiling window. He continued, "This is why I never wanted to be a superhero..."
As he finished speaking, he took out a vial of dicine from his pocket and jabbed it into his neck forcefully. The next mont, the sound of shattering glass echoed, accompanied by the faint sound of hissing and a deep, resonant voice:
"Superheroes can't go mad at any ti, but the Lizard can."
Inside the eting room, General Ross stared at the giant lizard on the New York skyline, covering his forehead in frustration. "What the hell is going on? Why does this lizard keep appearing at our most critical monts?"
"It's because your agents provoked him!" a younger officer stepped forward, crossing his arms. "General Ross, you really should change your approach..."
"At a ti like this, you're still thinking about internal conflicts?" General expressed his dissatisfaction. "Now, the most elite biologist is turning into a monster and refuses to help us. Whose fault is that?"
Sitting at the table, General Davis listened to Lizard's story and shook his head, sighing. "In the military, we must ensure proper compensation for veterans after the war. No matter who diverted these funds, they are undermining the foundation of this country."
"Young people who went to the battlefield with the belief of sacrificing for their country are the most vital blood pumping through the heart. They are what keeps us alive. If you strip them away, this country will be finished."
"Now is not the ti to discuss this issue!" General sighed. "Dr. Connors is unwilling to help us, and we don't have the resources to deal with such a huge monster. So, who else do we have?"
"We are trying to contact Dr. Reed, Dr. Yinsen, and Dr. Otto. I believe with so many of the world's top scientists, we will find a way to manufacture the dicine!"
