Theodore was curious about what happened to Maxwell and the others. From the looks of it, they seed to have gone to the base but didn’t like the conditions there.

"Have you guys been to the base?" Theodore finally asked after they were silent without saying anything.

Maxwell seed to scratch his cheek hesitantly before answering Theodore’s words, "Yes, we have been there, it’s just that the conditions there are not much different than surviving outside the base," Maxwell explained later.

Hearing Maxwell’s explanation, Theodore also saw a speck of hatred in their eyes; it seed that sothing had happened to them when they were at the City A base.

"Looks like sothing bad happened to you guys. If I may know which area you live in?" Roxanne spoke this ti.

"We’re in the northern area. You must know how bad that place is," Collin said as he sighed softly.

"No wonder then. Even Roxanne almost died working at the north gate," Geoffrey said while shaking his head as he recalled what happened to Roxanne back then.

"You almost died, Roxanne?" Violet looked at Roxanne with a shocked look when she heard Geoffrey’s words.

"Yes, I did. It was too chaotic back then," Roxanne replied with a grimace as she recalled the tragedy she had to go through.

"When we were there sothing like that happened too, Collin almost died because we refused to pay taxes to the gangsters there," Maxwell explained this ti, explaining what had happened to them while at the base.

"Things are much better there now, but still sothing like that could happen at any ti in the current situation," Theodore said in response to Maxwell’s words.

Everyone nodded their heads in agreent with what Theodore had said because, in a destroyed world like this, there would be many humans who would do evil things to other humans because there were no laws in place.

"Then, why did you decide to leave the base?" Violet looked curious as to why they wanted to leave the base this ti.

"He had a problem with the military there," Roxanne said as she pointed at Theodore, who was still looking relaxed.

"Huh! Do you have a problem with the military?" It seed that Maxwell was speechless about the trouble they were going through.

"Yes, that’s the case. By the way, will you guys continue to be in this place?" Theodore finally asked them sothing important.

"I don’t know, we still don’t know what to do next," Maxwell said, then looked unsure.

Theodore also looked at Roxanne and Geoffrey next to him. They nodded slowly, understanding what Theodore was trying to tell them.

"We intend to go to K City. We don’t mind if you want to co with us," Theodore said, then offered them to co with him.

"Thanks for the offer, but I guess we’ll have to think before answering," Maxwell replied with a smile on his face.

"Sure, we’ll be staying here tonight anyway," Theodore replied understandingly and let them think about his offer.

Finally, they finished eating, and Theodore and his friends imdiately rested. Fortunately, this ti, Maxwell and the others said they would stand guard so Theodore could rest peacefully today.

. . .

All Theodore rembered was that he had woken up in a hurry. His life hadn’t been collected when he woke up, so he still didn’t understand what was going on.

It was only when Roxanne ca to him while shaking his shoulder and said sothing about zombies that Theodore realized that they were in a dangerous situation.

"How many of them are there?" Theodore imdiately shook his head and tried to realize the situation he had to face at the mont.

"Quite a lot, it seems like a large horde of zombies has spread to this place," Roxanne said as she told Theodore about the zombies that ca to attack.

"Alright, where are the others right now?" Theodore looked around and saw no one else at the mont, not even Geoffrey.

"Already in front to kill those zombies," Roxanne explained, telling Theodore about the others.

"Follow them. I’ll use my arrows from a distance." Theodore cald himself down and imdiately told Roxanne to catch up with the others.

anwhile, Theodore watched the house and went up to the second floor of this house. Fortunately, this house had an expansive balcony, so Theodore started to take out his crossbow.

Just one look and Theodore knew that the zombies would continue to spread and their numbers would increase. Theodore beca curious as to how these zombies could continue to grow like this.

With a crossbow in his hand, Theodore imdiately used his spread arrow and aid at the horde of zombies near his friends. With that, he gave the others ti to catch their breath for a while.

Sothing Theodore didn’t expect was that there were quite a few other people living in this place. He thought there would only be Maxwell and his friends who were desperate to live in this part of the border.

Fortunately, there were quite a few of them, and Theodore was a big help in killing the zombies. This ti, they were still able to survive the wave of zombies that attacked them.

Theodore imdiately jumped from the second-floor balcony casually, and he walked towards the others.

"Sorry my help was a little late," Theodore said, feeling that it took him a while to realize their precarious situation.

"I didn’t expect you to have such great strength!" Collin looked at Theodore in disbelief.

"Actually, it’s the power of the weapon not ," Theodore chuckled.

"Is that so, sis?" Geoffrey was also surprised because he thought the fire and ice arrows ca from Theodore’s own power.

"Of course, if you use these arrows too you can do it," Theodore explained while rolling his eyes as Geoffrey looked at him in disbelief.

Then, they talked for a while before Roxanne finally reminded Theodore that they had to leave now.

"You didn’t forget that we still have to go, right?" Roxanne looked at Theodore seriously.

"That’s right, we have to hurry. At least before night, we should have entered the D City area," Theodore nodded his head and turned to Maxwell.

"Looks like we can’t co with you. This city has quite a few residents, it will be difficult for them to survive here if we leave too." Maxwell explained that they couldn’t just leave the city.

"That’s fine if that’s your decision. I’m just warning you that the zombies will be coming back in greater numbers," Theodore gave a final warning to Maxwell and his friends.

"Thanks for the information, I’ll keep it in mind." Maxwell nodded his head in understanding.

"If you change your mind, you can et in K-town." After that, Theodore invited his friends to prepare to leave the house.

Theodore and the others were already in their cars, ready to leave. This ti, Theodore would be responsible for driving.

Before leaving, Theodore opened his window and gave Maxwell and his friends sothing.

"Keep this crossbow and so magic arrows. I hope they can help you," Theodore said as he gave them to Maxwell.

"Gosh, are you sure you’re giving us this precious stuff?" Maxwell looked very confused as he received the bow and arrows.

"I can get them again, so it doesn’t matter if I give them to you. Then we’ll leave first!" After that, Theodore waved his hand and drove his car away from the yard.
